Chapter 926 The King Of Living Off Women

When the castle was completed, everyone wondered who could have such capability to splurge five hundred million on the building-

In the end, someone with insider information revealed that it was Alex who had built it for his wedding with the eldest daughter of the Grant family, and the news undoubtedly triggered an uproar in Nebula City. Who in the world is Alex? He's nothing but the infamous live-in son-in-law of the Jennings family, whose son doesn't even take his surname. Now that he's divorced, I can't believe he has found favor with the eldest daughter of the Grant family.

For a live-in son-in-law to still be able to marry the outstanding Maggie despite his baggage, Alex was the envy of everyone in the city.

After Alex lived off the Jennings family by marrying Heather, it was just incredulous for him to outdo himself by snagging Maggie, who was a cut above the former.

The Grant family was extremely influential in Nebula City after all. Everyone grew curious as to how Alex managed to capture Maggie's heart.

There were even some who stalked Alex's home, hoping to see him and ask him for tips on how to live off

a woman.

They weren't hoping to recreate Alex's success in marrying someone distinguished and stunning like Maggie. As long as they could seduce a rich woman, they would be able to live comfortably for the rest of

their lives.

However, those men had no chance to get close to Alex at all, let alone get any tips from him. The jealousy within them caused them to speak badly of Alex. In fact, the backlash was much worse now when compared to the time he married Heather.

Carlene, Autumn, Liana, Elsa, Jessica, and the other women were devastated to receive the wedding

invitation.

All of them had unique feelings for Alex. Upon learning that he had gotten divorced, they held out hope that they would stand a chance. Little did they expect him to remarry in such a short time. It was a fact that was difficult for them to accept.

Jessica and Autumn, who were particularly enamored with Alex, cried the entire night. Their hearts were shattered into pieces, and they were definitely not going to attend the wedding.

Carlene, Elsa, and Liana, on the other hand, decided to go and use the opportunity to see Alex.

At the Jennings residence, Carmen came into Heather's room. The sight of her daughter's increasingly thin frame filled her heart with pain and remorse.

News of Alex and Maggie's wedding had spread throughout the city, and Carmen was certain that her daughter had heard of it. Worried that Heather would do something impulsive, she came over to check on her.

Inside the room, Heather was sitting in front of her dressing table. Staring at her pale-looking face in the mirror, she could clearly see her eyebags courtesy of many late nights.

As she ran her fingers across her cheeks, tears fell abruptly from the corner of her eyes. She asked Carmen

in a raspy voice, "Mom, is Maggie more beautiful than me? Am I not better than her at all?"

Carmen felt her heart break upon hearing her daughter's question. Embracing her daughter, she consoled her, "Stop overthinking. Heather. You're one of Nebula City's most gorgeous women. Of course you're better than her. My daughter is the most beautiful woman in the world."

Heather shoved Carmen aside before springing up to her feet and screaming. "This is all your fault! You're the one who caused me to fall into such dire circumstances. Not only have I lost my husband and son but Alex is also getting married to another woman!"

"It's true that I let you down. My lapse in judgment has indeed brought this upon you. But don't you worry. I'll definitely not let Alex marry anyone else."

It was then that Heather regained her senses. She knew that regardless of how much sorrow she felt, Alex wouldn't be aware of her suffering. She decided to dress to the nines and attend Alex's wedding instead.

She wanted to see for herself if she was really inferior to Maggie in Alex's eyes.

She had known Alex for ten years since their university days. They even had a son together, whereas Maggie had only met Alex for slightly more than a year.
