Chapter 975 Police Station

Alex agreed without hesitation this time, "Well, I can assist if you need to investigate someone." Several thoughts ran through his head.

I have to credit this gorgeous team leader because, based on how solemn she appears to be, she is an outstanding officer who is capable and has the interests of her citizens at heart. In comparison to other guys, Elsa is in no way inferior. She performs her duties better than most males, in my opinion.

Alex had plenty of employees working under him, so it was easy for him to ask Flynn to launch an investigation on Elsa's behalf.

When Alex consented to assist her, Elsa's initially grave expression changed to a relieved smile. She acknowledged her appreciation, saying, "Alex, thank you,"

Alex waved his hands dismissively. He didn't view it as a huge favor. Rather, it was all he could do. After all, the investigation's outcome had not yet been made public.

"Regenerateur Enterprises had already transferred the compensation to my company. I'll be quite busy because I have to return and begin the renovation of Four Seas Corporation. I'm leaving right away." Alex stood up from the chair because he wanted to go.

I have so many things to do for my company. As the chairman. I can't possibly ask Jessica to handle everything for me, Tight?

As Alex was ready to go, Elsa stood up and said, "Let me see you off."

Alex had arrived at the police station in a police car, so he didn't have his automobile with him. Elsa followed the man to the police station's entrance, where they waited for the bus. Both of them chatted to pass the time while they were there.

Suddenly, the sound of someone screaming for help echoed through the air from the shop near the duo,

They looked over to see five men in black clothing pulling a pedestrian toward a van.

The passersby were horrified when they witnessed the scene before them. They had no idea who these men in black were, or why they were pulling someone into a van, so they were afraid to approach to provide assistance.

In the meantime, Elsa and Alex didn't wait and hurried over immediately to see what was happening.

The young woman, who the men in black restrained, fought desperately to wriggle free from their grips She was only a few steps away from being pushed into the car, but her strength was no match for that of her captors.

Another man got out of the car at that precise moment. He dragged the struggling young woman into the vehicle himself, proving he was stronger than the others.

Alex quickened his steps. He was, regrettably, too late. The people inside the vehicle started the motor and sped off as the man attempted to open the door.

On the other hand, Elsa arrived later than Alex at the scene, so she was forced to watch the car drive away from her line of sight helplessly.

Elsa watched the van accelerate away while clenching her hand firmly and gritting her teeth. These individuals are so haughty! How could they kidnap someone so close to the police station? Do they consider us inferior?

He almost caught them! We could have apprehended one of those men and learned more about what was going on if I had detected something was off earlier!

But now that the car had vanished, Elsa was left without useful hints. She was dissatisfied because the license plate had been obscured.

Guilt filled Elsa's mind. She lowered her head, saying. There's nothing I can do other than watch my people get abducted. What good am I as a police officer?"

Alex gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Don't cry. That we weren't able to catch them is a positive thing."

Elsa was stunned. She couldn't understand what Alex was trying to say. Huh? What does he mean that it's good that we missed them?
