Chapter 995
Chapter 995 Cannot Afford
Alex had grown accustomed to such treatment in the past, but the lack of information about the houses left them uncertain about making a decision. Hence, Alex and Jessica stood by and listened attentively as Kiara introduced the various features of each
unit.
Kiara's sales pitch was remarkably persuasive, and even Alex couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of owning a villa.
Seeking more clarity, Alex turned directly to Kiara and asked, "How much is the estimated total cost of one villa?"
However, Kiara's smile quickly vanished when she realized it was Alex, instead of a middle-aged man, who had expressed interest in buying a villa. With a sneer, she replied, "What's with all the questions? Can you even afford the villas we sell here? The price might scare you away."
Her rude and unprofessional reply blatantly betrayed the fundamental principle that each customer should be treated with respect and professionalism. Not only had Kiara ignored Alex's earlier attempts to engage, but she had also responded impolitely to a simple inquiry about the price of the villa.
Before Alex could come up with a response, Jessica tugged at his sleeve and said in a small voice, "Alex, let's forget about it. The villas here are too expensive anyway. I'm fine with a smaller unit since I'll be living on my own."
Unbeknownst to Jessica, Kiara overheard their exchange, confirming her assumption.
She believed she had shown leniency by not kicking out the two young and broke individuals, considering them potential troublemakers who might tarnish the sales gallery.
"You can't afford it, no matter how many questions you have about the unit, so scram. Can't you see I have more important customers to attend to?" Kiara scowled at Alex, dismissing both him and Jessica. She then turned to the middle-aged man, adopting a humble demeanor, and said, "Only men with esteemed status and significant influence, like yourself, are worthy of this high-end villa. If you purchase this villa and live in it with this beautiful young lady, it will provide you with the ultimate quality of life. It's truly a value for money!"
The middle-aged man nodded slightly as he considered whether he should purchase the villa.
Just then, the woman standing beside him leaned into him and said in a sweet tone, "Hubby, I absolutely adore this villa. Please buy it for me!"
Jessica couldn't help but cringe at the way the young woman addressed the middle-aged man as her husband, feeling goosebumps all over her body.
Not only did the middle-aged man look rugged, but he was also bald and seemed to be old enough to be the woman's father. Jessica found it perplexing how the woman could refer to him as her husband Jessica was quite the looker herself. However, despite being a beautiful young lady, she rejected numerous opportunities to become a mistress or lover of wealthy men.
She believed in pursuing wealth and success through ethical means, and using her body for financial gain didn't sit right with her.
Instead of immediately agreeing to purchase the villa for the woman, the middle-aged man simply nodded and mentioned that he would consider it.
However, Kiara, determined to make the sale, continued her pitch to the couple.
"How much is the villa?" Alex controlled his temper and asked once again.
By this point, Kiara's throat was dry from her sales pitch, and her irritation grew as she realized that the middle-aged man showed no intention of buying despite her efforts. Frustrated, she redirected her pent- up frustration toward Alex upon hearing his question.
"You broke bugger! I have already shown you more generosity than you deserve by not kicking you out of the sales gallery. Can't you just keep quiet for a moment? These villas are far beyond your purchasing power!"
These villas are far beyond my purchasing power? How dare you look down on me like that when you're just a mere sales assistant. Can you afford it, then?" Alex raged.
