I went up and down all the floors and finally found her room. I enter, knocking gently, but she doesn’t move. Her eyes stare at the ceiling and blink at regular intervals. How did you get here Lydia… I slowly approach her and clumsily stroke her Venetian hair.

Me: I’m sorry I left. I really needed to. Otherwise I was going to do something really stupid. I hope you get better soon, darling.

I hear footsteps. I’ve got to go

Me: Don’t worry, I’ll be back and if I don’t, I’ll always look after you/

WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

I jump. Nathalie. Lydia’s mother

Me: Sorry, I just… I wanted to…

Nathalie: You just wanted to what?!!? I’ve already told everyone to leave my daughter in peace! Go away!

Me: But…

Nathalie: GET OUT!

She pushes me out of the room and closes the door. I land right on the floor and my head hits the floor. Ouch.

I get up and look out of her little bedroom window. Nathalie is talking to Lydia, crying, and stroking her hair like I did. I feel bad for them. I hear someone coming and teleport to the first place that comes to mind. My room at my mum’s house.

Nothing has changed. Only the bed has been redecorated and there’s a bit of dust on the furniture. I look at my desk and see that my picture frame has fallen over. I pick it up and look at the photo. The whole pack together at the start of the holidays. I miss this moment. I miss the pack, but as Stiles says, the pack doesn’t exist any more. No. I can’t think that. I take out a piece of paper and a pencil and write a few words, which I hold in place with the help of the frame. I take the opportunity to take some clothes of my own.

Once I’ve done that, I go to Stiles’s room and put back the jacket he lent me, along with a piece of paper with a simple ‘thank you’ written on it. I return to my room at my father’s and fall back onto my bed, huffing and puffing.

Scott’s point of view

Stiles: Are you ready?

Allison: Yes. We’re going to look for Lydia.

We run to the front door and I hold the piece of paper tightly between my fingers.
