Spoiled by Eight Uncles (Lily) -
Chapter 1525 Hope
Lilly reached out for her purple sphere, realizing that the beast soul shadows entering her body were different from the 'script' she had previously concocted. These were real!
She recalled the legendary Sea-Wyvern that had swum past her when she left last time. It appeared after she and Ivan had broken the Nether Chain. This strange incident had to be connected to the Nether Chain!
Lilly inhaled sharply as she wondered, Could it be that the Nether Chain was used to tether these beasts' souls? After it was broken into two sections, one part should have flown to the Earth Goddess. Meanwhile, the other half was tied to the palace, which she had laid her claim on. If that were the case, the Nether Chain was the key to her predicament! She needed the Nether Chain now!
Lilly stared at her hand in dismay as she couldn't see her ring, a jar of souls, or the Ruler of Hell's palace that she kept on her person. Still, she knew they had to be there. The surrounding darkness fell into silence once more, acting as though it hadn't just shoved her into a pit of torture. Lilly, who was curled up on the ground, had also stopped screaming. She had a vague feeling as if someone was looking down at her from the void, waiting for her to die with a whimper.
"Hehe... what a pity. This is not a dream," Lilly whispered. Her fingers trembled as she tried to get up. Alas, she couldn't get her muscles to cooperate with her. Eventually, she lay flat on the ground, staring at the darkness.
"The dream, or the illusion you created, is false. I have nothing in my hand," she murmured. "What I'm experiencing now is the real deal. I should be unconscious right now. So..."
She could still retrieve her things as long as her spirit consciousness was awake. In the darkness, a voice finally emerged, ethereal and distant as it spoke, "What else can you take?"
Lilly nodded agreeably. "Indeed, I've got nothing. However, you overlooked one important thing!" As she spoke, a chain burst out from her fingertips and plunged right into her purple sphere. She drove the chain into her purple sphere.
The ethereal voice seemed startled as it blurted, "Aren't you afraid of crippling yourself?!"
Lilly laughed as she retorted boldly, "I'm not afraid. It's not as if this is the first time I've messed with my elixir field!" The Nether Chain broke her purple sphere apart with ease. One could say that if her purple sphere was a planet, it meant that there was a war waging within that planet. The beasts' soul phantoms were running rampant after its sudden invasion, marking the purple sphere as their new territory. So, Lilly's actions had made the Nether Chain into a weapon as it sliced apart these phantoms before fighting against them for dominance. All of this was occurring within her purple sphere.
Therefore, how could she not be in considerable agony?
Eventually, she couldn't bite back the pained screams that were bursting forth her lips. There was a limit to the pain a person could withstand. Once whatever they were experiencing had gone above what they could tolerate, it was only natural that they would give in to their impulses. Nonetheless, the effect of Lilly's decisiveness quickly showed positive results.
The Nether Chain didn't hesitate to fight against the beasts' soul phantoms, promptly suppressing half of them. This allowed Lilly a moment of respite as her purple sphere started operating once more, granting her strength. She forced herself to compartmentalize the pain and focus on her purple sphere, which was only operating at half of its usual power. Then, she rose to her feet and raised her head high! "Come on, then! Since you've decided to dirty your own hands, there's no point hiding in the shadows." Lilly grinned, wiping the trail of fresh blood from her lips. "Today, I'm going to break apart that old and dilapidated Manifestation of God's will! What? Are you afraid?"
She raised her hand and summoned the Dragon Fang. She could hear Dragon Fang coming as the blade flew toward her. Soon, Dragon Fang cut through the darkness and fell into her hand. "Since you aren't going to make a move, I'll bring the battle to you!"
Her eyes turned piercing as she swiftly slashed at the darkness surrounding her. There was no distinction of up, down, left, or right in this place. All the surrounding darkness was the encirclement of the Manifestation of God's will.
Lilly finally understood Primordial Creation. She could understand why it had chosen to slash open the darkness and part the sky. If the last prosperous era was created by Primordial Creation, then she would follow in its footsteps and usher in the next prosperous era!
"Primordial Creation!" she exclaimed. The Dragon Fang, imbued with the power of her newly born The Order, tore a crack in the endless darkness. The crack grew larger and larger until she speared a hole in the dark sky. Light shone in from outside, providing her a glimpse of hope. Although it was merely a blip in the endless darkness, it served as a symbol that dawn would come.
The Manifestation of God's will seemed furious, causing the dark world to shake. Lilly, who was caught in its web, felt like a boat being overturned by roiling waves. Soon, the tide swallowed her, causing her to sink. Yet, it only took her a few seconds as a harsh glow chased the darkness away. Lilly had appeared. "Is that all?!" she mocked. "You're weak! I've been reduced to such a state. Yet, you can't even stop me when my powers have been shackled!"
It wanted to mess with her mentally, didn't it? Well, she could do the same!
The Manifestation of God's will had sealed her in a dream, attempting to attack her heart and enslave her. Nevertheless, it only served to show her that it feared her newly formed The Order would overpower it Thus, she deliberately taunted it.
Honestly, she was well aware that her current power wasn't enough to make her shatter the chains holding her captive. She still needed another piece of the Nether Chain to suppress the other half of the uncontrolled beasts' soul phantom wreaking havoc in her purple sphere.
Earth Goddess, you'd better make it on time!
She had no idea how much time had passed in the real world. She had no clue what had happened during her trip down twisted memory lane.
Regardless, she was confident that Ivan would do his best to gather her family and friends when she's caught in a tiff.
She had forgotten Ivan, Elder, Fortune, and the others when she was caught in the dream the Manifestation of God's will had weaved for her.
Now that she had escaped from the illusion, she had regained the memories she had forgotten.
