Starting from the Planetary Governor
Chapter 13: Mutual Assistance

“Yes, it can be done.”

This unexpected answer made Alicia Ye vaguely understand the underlying meaning behind what Gu Hang said.

But she still deliberately asked, “If there are such enemies, Governor, please give me a precise coordinate, and an orbital bombardment will follow. Whether it’s the green skins or heretical cults, I will bring the Emperor’s most terrifying wrath upon these enemies.”

“How dare those enemies of the Empire expose themselves under the sunlight? They won’t act openly. I need some time to dig out these enemies. This also requires your help.”

Alicia Ye fell silent.

She now precisely understood the meaning behind Gu Hang’s words.

These enemies, perhaps, already exist on the Fury Owl Planet, which would be ideal. If they don’t exist, they can be fabricated, but this requires the Governor’s authority to assist, something Alicia Ye could hardly manage on her own.

Gu Hang’s voice sounded again: “I need very few things, and I don’t need you to send more personnel down. Two hundred sets of servitor soldier weapons and equipment, some land-based armored vehicles. These things are of no use staying on the starship for now. However, they can be exchanged for opportunities.”

“This is indeed helping me, but it’s also helping yourself. The savior of Fury Owl Planet, how does that title sound to you? The heads of countless enemies of the Empire will forge your medal of honor. And all you need to provide is some insignificant ground combat equipment. I will replace these enemies for you; I might even help you take their heads.”

“I don’t want to be executed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Tax Bureau two years later, and you don’t want to waste two years in orbit around Fury Owl Planet. So why don’t we help each other? This is not a transaction; this is our mission for coming here, and our future prospects.”

“Ahem…”

Alicia Ye wanted to speak but found her throat somewhat dry.

Frankly speaking, she was somewhat moved.

Initially, she thought she would be stuck in orbit for two years, and upon returning, she would continue to face various rumors, holding back her strength without knowing when she would replace a real opportunity for battle.

But now, Gu Hang’s words opened a new door for her.

She began to seriously consider the feasibility of this matter, began to think about what she had to pay and what she could gain.

And the conclusion seemed not too difficult to reach.

The worst-case scenario, at most, is that she provides personnel and weapons, but Gu Hang still achieves nothing, and she wastes two years here.

But so what?

These two years of staying here are a given, a mandate from the Navy Department, unchangeable; the personnel and equipment provided to support the ground, even if all lost, are not her problem.

Supporting the Governor is her duty, and the missing equipment can be requisitioned and supplemented later.

The key point is that it doesn’t cost her a penny; the Empire’s treasury foots the bill.

Other than that, there are no other costs.

Could it be that she needs to worry about someone threatening the starship? Even she thought that was a joke.

And if Gu Hang succeeds, she will gain the merit of purging all enemies on the planet; the enemies’ heads are the soldiers’ medals.

Those enemies who have prevented Fury Owl Planet from providing sufficient resources and taxes to the star sector, once eliminated by her, would bring the planet back on track. Isn’t this the honor she seeks?

Sure, doing so definitely won’t be as glorious as demonstrating might in a decisive naval battle and destroying the enemy’s main battleship, but at least it’s an achievement, proving that she didn’t waste her time over the two years.

When she returns, she might not shut everyone’s mouth, but at least her resume will be more colorful, rather than just having achievements in exercises and training, which would only be laughed at by veterans.

Gritting her teeth, Alicia Ye said, “If that’s the case, I agree.”

“That’s great.”

The crew on the ‘Quintet’ were quite efficient. It didn’t take long for two transport ships to take off from the starship.

Watching the ships head towards the desolate grey planet below, Alicia Ye gradually started to realize something.

The total scale of the ground troops on my starship isn’t that large, and the stockpile of equipment isn’t that much either…

Wait a minute!

Wasn’t it agreed that no matter what Gu Hang said this time, we wouldn’t give him a single thing?

That Gu Hang, he painted a big picture, and I just ate it up?

The key point is that he hasn’t given any benefits yet, not even a specific promise, so how did I end up sending out two hundred sets of individual equipment and four armored vehicles?

I’ve been duped by that man again!

But… what he said makes so much sense…

It hit right at what she was thinking.

“Sigh…”

With a sigh, Alicia Ye forcibly told herself not to worry about gains and losses anymore.

The stuff has already been sent out, what else can she do?

Just hope that Gu Hang can do as he said.

Having obtained what he wanted, Gu Hang was in a great mood.

Not long after, he saw the two transport ships from the ‘Quintet’ landing at his still-under-construction airport.

A large number of servitors were already prepared. Once the ship’s hatch opened, they unloaded the items.

Upon inventory, nothing was missing.

Two hundred sets of individual equipment, primarily centered around the G7 ‘Assaulter’ rifles, complemented with squad machine guns, mortars, and combat uniforms.

These combat uniforms were equipped with alloy-plastic steel bulletproof plates, which offered decent protection, serving as a functional piece of armor.

Gu Hang directly allocated one hundred sets to the newly recruited Feidong Society platoon.

Then, he used the last bit of grace he had through the system’s troop card function on them.

【Feidong Platoon, Comprehensive Level: -, Non-upgradable】

【Type: Light Infantry, Number: 100】

【Equipment: T5, Training: -, Experience: -】

This was the current attribute level of the Feidong Platoon, and based on Gu Hang’s previous experience, within about three days, the training bonus would fully manifest. By then, this new force’s overall level would reach T5.

This is the lowest level of the Empire’s regular army.

With equal numbers, they could achieve a decisive victory against the bandits and minor warlords on Fury Owl Planet, keeping casualties to a minimum.

Additionally, the transport ships brought down four Wanderer V light armored vehicles.

These armored vehicles, with three pairs of wheels each, were equipped with rapid-fire autocannons, making them formidable combat vehicles.

Unfortunately, the servitor soldiers couldn’t drive these vehicles; nor could anyone in the Feidong Platoon.

Thus, the thirty elite marines had to be assigned to these four vehicles, serving as the mobile force.

At this point, Gu Hang had a force of over four hundred men, equipped with four high-level armored vehicles.

This was already a considerable armed force.

His gaze turned towards the direction of the Alliance’s capital, Revival City.
