Chapter 1100

The driver got out of his car with shaky legs. He had already taken out his phone to call for an ambulance.

He didn't want this to happen either. He kept on apologizing, and even his voice was shaking as his tears flowed out.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... Please don't let anything happen to you!" The driver kept on begging as he looked at Conrad coughing out blood.

Silas held Conrad's hand as he whimpered.

"Sir, you can't leave us. Without you, what should we do...?"

Five years later.

An island on the equator.

The sea was turquoise blue, the weather was quite hot, and the leaves of the trees were quite cold.

A slender figure walked out behind some trees as she walked on the beach barefooted.

She had thick black hair that was tied into a braid behind her.

As she walked, her braid would flail behind her left and right by her waist.

It looked pretty scenic when put together with the long white dress that she was wearing.

Because of the long exposure to the sun, her skin was of a healthy glint and she had cold, large

eyes.

She walked agilely with a sharpened stick in her hand. She stopped once she was standing in

seawater.

She took a deep breath and looked at the seawater. Several minutes later, she thrusted the stick into the water when a fat fish swam over.

Once she caught it, she let out a cold smile. She took out a dagger and cleaned the fish on the spot. She then put a rope through the fish's maw before taking it up to the beach. Immediately, two figures ran out from the island and cried out, "Mommy! Mommy!"

The woman raised her eyes and said, "Over here!"

The two children ran toward her, their short-sleeved shirts flowing in the wind.

The woman bent down and extended her arms, then grabbed both.

"Didn't I tell you to stay inside the house?"

"Daddy said that it's dangerous by the beach and told us to take a look," the boy with the short hair said. "He said to call him if there's danger!"

The woman smiled and held her son's face.

"What is Daddy doing?"

"Sleeping!" the short-haired girl said. "Daddy is always asleep."

"That's right! How lazy!" the boy said.

The boy and girl were the woman's children. They were twins.

The boy was called Adrian. The girl was called Luna.

"Wow! What a big fish!" Luna held the woman's arm and said happily. "We can have fish today! Daddy makes very tasty fish!"

Adrian pouted. "No, it's not tasty at all."

The woman pinched Adrian's face again and said, "I'm so sorry, Adrian. Your sister needs to eat more fish because she's sick. When Daddy buys some meat tomorrow, I'll make your favorite, alright?' Adrian instantly let out a smile. "Sure!"

With a happy smile, the woman gave the fish to Adrian.

Adrian held the fish and said, "Mommy, why didn't my sister's body get any healthier than me despite eating so much?"

"That's because you were too strong when you were inside Mommy. Luna couldn't compete with you when it was time to eat!" the woman said with a smile.

Adrian took pity on her sister and said, "Fine. You can make more fish for her then. I can eat less meat."

"Thank

you, big bro!" Luna said happily.

As soon as the woman walked into the forest with one child in each hand, a tall man wearing a shirt and shorts came out from the bushes.

"Daddy!" Adrian and Luna cried and ran toward the man.

The man acknowledged them as he squatted down and picked one up in each hand as he stood. back up.

He looked at the woman and there was gentleness in those green eyes.

"You can ask me to catch fish if Luna wants some for a meal,"
