Millie flinched and covered her ears when another ‘bang’ echoed across the hallway.

Leon had destroyed the glass window with his fist, and glass shards littered the floor.

He then grabbed Millie’s arm and forced her to lean against the window ledge. Her upper body wentthrough the window, and she gasped in horror.

Upon looking back, she saw nothing but an open sky and emptiness.

The fire of rage continued to bum brightly in Leon’s eyes.

“Well, since you’re so set on falsely accusing her of something she didn’t do, I’ll have you erased fromexistence before you can do that.”

They were currently on the upper floor of the building. When Millie peered down, she saw how tiny thepeople below were. Her lips turned a dark shade of purple with the realization that she would besmashed to bits if Leon let go.

She wanted to call for help, but she couldn’t replace her voice because of the overwhelming fear in herheart.

When a single tear escaped her eyes, Leon snapped out of his stupor. Asking himself what in the worldhe was doing, he yanked Millie back with one fluid motion.

“stay away from Fiona from now on. She’s the most important person to me. Bother her again, and Iwon’t have mercy on you anymore.”

Millie felt herself go numb from the neck down and slumped against the wall, staring vacantly atnothingness.

Even Leon had a shocked expression on his face. There was no way the woman would not hate himafter that. He took a quick look at his bleeding hand and then briskly walked away.

Why was it that every time he went there, he was always looking for Millie? Before, she always stuck tohim like glue because she wanted him to save her grandmother.

However, after today, she would never again go near him. What happened just now had certainlyfrightened her.

It was for the best because she would not bother him again.

Leon came back to the hospital to see that Fiona’s room was empty.

“I went out to take a walk and get some fresh air.” Fiona tried her best to retum before Leon did, butshe failed.

In the end, she had no choice but to make up an excuse.

Leon looked her up and down before questioning, “Why did you have to change your clothes if you justtook a walk?”

The suspicion in his eyes did not go unnoticed by Fiona.

Immediately, her pulse quickened.

“I also went to buy something. Well, I do think that the hospital gown is more comfortable to wear, so I’llchange into it right away.”
