“Gwendolyn, go and wash some fruits for the visitors.”

She turned around to leave, but Zayden grabbed her hand.

“There's no need for you to do this. Take a break. We have the help here.”

He was displeased with how his mother ordered his beloved woman around, especially when outsiderswere present.

“Just sit on the side of my bed and chat with me.”

Rosalie also smiled and stood up.

“Wow! Zay, you and Gwen are really close!” she commented.

Gwendolyn retracted her hand. “Ms. Chavez, it's not what you think. We're just friends.”

When Linda saw how Gwendolyn hastened to explain herself, she shook her head. She really is agreedy one. Although she has Pat, who's such a good boyfriend, she's still unsatisfied. Now, she'seven afraid that we would expose her.
