Swear Not By The Wings -
13 Adversaries
I pace my castle. Millions of thoughts roam my head as I think of the redheaded girl. The moment I laid eyes on Arrietty, I knew I wanted her to be my queen. The girl is unlike any other I have ever met. She's beautiful, funny, and innocent. She may just be a human, but she is one special human, indeed. I feel almost guilty for putting the girl in the annual fae tournament.
The odds of her winning are slim to none. However, she has a very strong fairy by her side, Elio. Elio and I used to be friends when we were kids. When I was old enough to take my rightful place on the throne, we grew apart. Elio left and took all of our friends, Freya, Arden, and Ellowyn with him. It pained me greatly.
Since that day, I've never been the same. I cherish hatred for the winter fairy and his backstabbing friends. Now, I am lonely in this castle. Which is why Arrietty is perfect for me. At last, I can finally have something that Elio wants.
I hear the doors to my castle burst open and smile at the arrival of Arrietty's adversaries. Standing in front of me is Idalisa, Chauncey, Violet, and Siren. These fairies are the strongest in my kingdom.
Idalisa is a half-bred fae. She is the product of a fairy and a human. Idalisa has bronze skin, hazel eyes, and orange wings. Certainly, a rare sight for our kind. She is one of the best at magic in this world.
Next are Chauncey and Violet. These quirky teenage fairies are weird yet deadly. Chauncey and Violet are season fairies. They both have pale skin, lavender hair, and black eyes as well as wings. The boy, Chauncey, controls the fall while his younger sister, Violet, controls the summer. The pair are excellent in combat.
Last but not least we have Siren. Siren is a hybrid fairy. She is half dragon and half water fairy. The girl has wings that resemble a dragon's. She has long black hair and black and white-colored eyes. Siren is the only fae to possess the abilities of water and fire. On top of all her capacities, Siren is also a high-rank warrior fairy. These powerful nymphs will be the downfall to Arrietty in the tournament.
"I have a special task for you and it involves a human girl who will be competing in the annual fae tournament," I announce. The fairies look at me with anticipation.
"A human?" The twins gasp in unison.
"This is going to be fun," smirks Idalisa. I nod at the enthusiasm.
"If she loses, she'll become my queen. You fairies are to make sure she fails to take the victory in the tournament," I explain.
"Piece of cake," Siren clicks her tongue.
"Well let's hope so, she has a very skilled teacher," I refer to Elio. The fairies raise their eyebrows at me. I continue,
"Which is why I need the human injured before the tournament. Understand?" Siren smiles mischievously at me and bows.
"Consider the girl defeated." She states and flies away with the other fairies following excitedly behind her.
I'm sorry Arrietty, but I want you to be mine.
