The grilled fish was ready, and Mia had her fill of skewers, rinsing her mouth with water. "I'm going to play in the water with the kids; you guys enjoy the fish. My husband barely had any." Soon, Henry was back in his mother's arms, his brow furrowed like something was amiss.

"Wah-Wah~" As soon as his little face puckered, he started showing off his crying skills.

Molly said to Chad, "See, Chad, it hasn't even been ten minutes, and the first round of crying has begun."

Mia was used to her son's occasional fussing. "Come on, let's go play in the water."

"Auntie, I want to come too," Anya said, putting down her grilled fish and immediately following.

Molly quickly took a few sips of her drink. "Wait for me, Mia, I'm coming too."

The three of them headed to the shore, kids in tow.

Looking at the flowing water, Henry quickly forgot about "eating" and started eagerly observing his surroundings.

Molly saw a group of children playing with water guns and felt a pang of envy. "Mia, I think my nephew needs a water gun, don't you think?"

Little Anya, seeing someone's low-quality fishing net, got excited. "Auntie, should we get a fishing net for the baby?"

Mia, looking at her son who couldn't even sit up yet, asked the two women, "Do you think my son is some kind of genius?"

"It's fine, we'll start teaching him how to play from infancy."

Eventually, one of them bought a water gun, and the other bought a fishing net.

Mia found some steps to sit on, took off her shoes, and dipped her feet in the water. Henry looked at his mom's feet, and soon his socks were pulled off too. "Let's see if my little piggy's feet smell," Mia teased as she sniffed his feet. "Not smelly at all," Mia declared.

Henry giggled in his mom's arms.

Mia splashed some water on Henry's feet, and he reached out, trying to catch the droplets. "Wow-ah-ah!"

Mia picked up a pebble and tossed it into the water, while Molly sprayed with the water gun and Anya kept scooping up water.

Henry didn't know what to play with first, his attention constantly drawn to all the strange and fun activities.

Later, Andre came over, placing a sun hat on his wife's head, and picked up Henry. "Want to play in the water?"

"Honey, be careful, don't let the kid swallow any water. It's chilly."

Andre held his son tightly, placing his little feet in the shallow water by the shore.

After feeling the water, he quickly picked him up again, Henry's crisp laughter reaching his parents' ears, drool flowing from his happy mouth.

Dad played with him in the water again, Henry kicking around, the water splashing, his laughter filled with excitement, the happiest they had ever heard him.

Mia immediately recorded her son's antics on her phone and shared it with the family group chat.

Naomi exclaimed, "Look, look, my little treasure is playing in the water, drooling with joy."

Cooper, staying up late abroad working on a thesis, happened to see the adorable video of his nephew and made a video call. "Sis, where's the kid?"

"Your brother-in-law is playing with him," Mia said, pointing the camera at the father and son. Henry laughed with rosy cheeks, and Andre smiled as he hugged his son. "Still want to play?" Henry babbled his response.

"Go say hi to your uncle, rest a bit before playing again."

Cooper Irvin chatted with his nephew for a while. "Brother-in-law, I want to come home. You all seem to be living a fairy-tale life, while I'm here abroad, drowning in thesis work every week."

Andre replied, "Come back, and if your sister hits you, I won't stop her."

Cooper looked at his sister. "Sis, I want to come back, won't you hit me, please?"

"No way!" Mia responded. "The path of learning isn't that easy. Focus on your studies. I'm off next month, and your brother-in-law and I will bring Henry to visit you. I see it's been quite cold there; make sure to buy some warm clothes, don't catch a cold." Mia's phone always displayed two weather forecasts-one for Havenbrook to dress her son appropriately, and the other for her brother's city abroad.

"Got it. You really turned into a worrywart after becoming a mom."

Teased by her brother, Mia, a bit annoyed, said, "Yeah, right!" and hung up the video call.

Henry sat with his dad for a while before Grandpa came over. "Henry, Grandpa's here to play with you."

Molly approached. "Dad, I bought a water gun, you can play with it."

Hansen, supported by his son-in-law, had just taken the water gun when his delighted exclamation caught the attention of those around.

"Yay, Chad, I caught a fish! I really did! Look!" Anya held up the fishing net, her hands gripping the fish she caught, not minding her wet dress. Many onshore were intrigued by the sight of the girl who had actually caught a fish from the water.

A group of children also excitedly prepared to join in and see the fish.

The water gun couldn't distract the elderly, who looked at Anya, her sleeves soaked. "Come up here and let Grandpa see your catch."

It was only Leo, who stood by the shore, watching her for a long while without a word.

"Chad? I caught it." Anya's joy slowly faded, thinking Leo was displeased.

Finally, Leo called out to Anya. "You caught it, now come ashore. There are snakes in the water, one might bite you."

His words caused an immediate stir among those playing in the water. Jade, who was enjoying herself, rapidly reached out her hand. "Chad, give me a hand quickly."

Mrs. Cedillo, who was happily soaking her feet, quickly withdrew them, checking her beloved son's feet for any signs of snakes.

The children playing in the water also rushed towards the shore in an instant.

Leo was initially only trying to scold the disobedient Anya and hadn't expected to scare so many people.

Anya, holding the palm-sized fish, was then helped ashore by Leo, who held the fish in one hand and led her with the other. Onshore, Anya's dress hem dripped water like a leaking faucet.

"Chad, I'll go grill another fish for you."

"Wait a moment."

Leo crouched down, grabbed Anya's dress hem, and wrung it out, squeezing the water from it.

His strong hands were not gentle, and the dress hem showed creases after he was done.

Anya looked down at Chad, biting her lower lip, feeling a warm flutter in her heart. She really, truly liked Chad so much.

Leo stood up. "I've had my fill of fish just now. Let's take this little one back and raise it, fatten it up for next year." Anya: "... Yes!" She nodded vigorously.
