Andre sat on the edge of the bed as Henry, giggling with delight, rolled over to his father's side, his little hands patting the bed while he kicked and squirmed excitedly.

Andre's large hand settled on his son's back, "So, at four in the morning yesterday, Havenbrook posted a Candy Crush link on Facebook."

Mia quickly pulled out her phone to check and indeed, "That old man, at two in the morning the day before yesterday, sent me a link to play Hearts. He ran out of virtual coins and had to share it with friends to get more for free." After Mia saw it, she warned Hansen to go to sleep immediately, but the old man haughtily didn't reply to the message.

Both spouses looked at Henry entertaining himself on the bed. Mia scooped up Henry into her arms and said, "Son, it's up to you to deal with your granddad."

Henry looked up and giggled happily.

After spending a week with Cooper, it was almost time to leave.

Mia sat on the edge of the bed in the bedroom, wiping away her tears with a sense of reluctance, all alone.

Seeing his mom shedding "golden beans," Henry's little mouth pouted, feeling aggrieved.

"Honey, once we leave, Cooper will be all alone again. I wish we hadn't come; from bustling to quiet, the more I think about it, the more it hurts me." Mia was preoccupied with thoughts of her brother being lonely.

Andre stood in front of his wife, gently wiping the tears from her eyes, "How about I rearrange some work stuff, and we stay here to keep Cooper company for a few more days?"

Mia shook her head, "Let's stick to our original plan, otherwise your schedule will be disrupted. It's just hard leaving Cooper here all by himself, but there's not much we can do." Henry started crying for his mom.

Cooper had just been discussing homework online with a classmate at the hotel when he heard his nephew cry, unable to leave it be, "Sorry, one moment, my little one is crying." Entering the master bedroom, Cooper found not just his little nephew crying, but his sister too.

"Crying for what? Can't bear to leave me?" Cooper sat beside Mia, snatching the child from her arms. "I've gotten used to living here, stop crying sis, you're making me... me... look down on you." Mia punched her brother with a "thud."

Mom hitting someone, Henry immediately stopped crying.

"Stop crying, sis, I'm going back to my homework discussion." Cooper, holding Henry, got up, glanced at his brother-in-law, and then took the little one away.

Andre: "Cooper, give the child to his uncle; you focus on your homework."

Cooper, with headphones in, "You console my sister. I can handle my nephew."

No sooner had he said he could handle it, Henry snatched an earbud from his uncle's ear, ready to put it in his mouth.

After retrieving it, Cooper gently placed the earbud by Henry's ear, "Hey, little baby, is that you?" His group members greeted Henry warmly.

Henry's little body stiffened as he listened to the voices coming from the earbud, his little face scrunching up as he looked at his uncle.

Andre, in the bedroom, consoled his wife for a while. Mia wiped her tears and got up to leave, taking her son who was interrupting his uncle's study.

The family of three headed out, leaving Cooper to focus on his discussion.

After dinner, the three adults and Henry went for a walk in the park downstairs, planning to catch the early morning flight the next day.

Andre said, "Cooper, the car is a gift from your sister and me. You'll drive us to the airport tomorrow and then take it back."

Cooper: "Brother-in-law, I don't need a car."

Andre: "As a young man, you'll need to drive more, to feel the control."

Mia boasted, "You better accept it, or I'll beat you until you do."

"Shrew."

Mia tried to kick her brother again but he dodged.

On their last night, Henry still chose to sleep with his uncle, cried a little, then tired out and went to sleep.

The next morning came early.

Mia had been instructing her brother from the crack of dawn, "Don't go out too late at night, it's not safe. Make sure you eat breakfast, cut down on burgers and pizza, drink something to soothe your stomach, and exercise regularly. You're not robust, girls might not like it. Safety first when you're outside, and if you need anything beyond your means, call home..."

Andre also added, "I've notified the local office too, if there's an issue, the deputy will personally take care of it for you. You're not alone here; your sister's company has got your back."

"And, maintain good relations with your classmates; social skills are also very important..." Mia went on and on, not replaceing it bothersome, but Henry was already tired of listening on behalf of his uncle, almost covering his ears as he lay in his uncle's arms. Cooper: "I get it, sis, ever since you became a mom, you nag more than our actual mom."

Before leaving, Mia gave her brother a "love tap," "Just remember."

"I will, I'm more independent than you think. You just use the fact that you're older to boss me around. But thanks, brother-in-law."

Andre smiled, "Still being polite with me?"

"Ah, just a gesture, don't take it seriously."

Arriving at the airport, the announcement echoed, Mia reluctantly not wanting to enter, turned to look at her brother, "Drink less cold stuff, cut down on coffee, sleep early, and don't drink too much. Call us if you miss us."

Cooper, unable to stand the emotional parting, stretched his arms for a hug with his sister at the airport, "Got it, go back now, sis."

Mia, worried about leaving anything unadvised, "Just take care of yourself."

"Got it, got it."

Cooper raised his hand, wiping the tears from his sister's eyes, "You're the one who hits me, but also the one who can't bear to leave me. Go back now."

Andre wrapped his arms around his wife's shoulders, "Your sister's heart is soft, and she cries easily, but hitting you is also her way of showing love." The airport made another announcement.

Mia, holding her curious son looking around, said, "Henry, we're going home now. How about we leave you here to keep your uncle company?" Mia asked. Cooper also clapped for his nephew, "Stay with uncle?"

Henry immediately stretched his arms towards his uncle, plumping into his embrace.

"Really planning to leave him here with his uncle?" Cooper hugged his nephew, kissed him twice, reluctantly letting go.

Time was ticking, and they had to leave.

Cooper watched his sister's family enter the security check from the airport.

Henry waved goodbye to his uncle.

Cooper also raised his hand to wave at the family of three.

Sitting on the airplane, Mia felt a great sense of relief wash over her. She could have returned home the previous night, but for two reasons, she didn't. First, she wanted to give herself and her brother some more time together. Secondly, she wanted her son to see the daytime sky through the airplane window, so Andre booked the flight for the next day.
