Before heading to work, Andre pointed at Henry and told Hansen, "Take him away, quickly."

Bruce, full of affection, hugged Henry tight. "My office isn't a place for kids, otherwise, I'd bring him over in a heartbeat."

He had long wished to bring his little treasure to the office for everyone to see.

However, Henry, in tears, refused to go anywhere and just wanted to stay home. He even reached out his tiny hands to Hansen, asking for a hug. Despite Hansen's verbal insistence on sending him away, his arms honestly embraced his little grandson.

With no time to spare, Molly kissed Henry's forehead hastily before rushing off to work.

Anya also pecked Henry on the nose before darting out.

Reluctantly, Bruce kissed Henry's cheek before leaving for work. "Uncle's off now. I'll hug you when I get back this afternoon, don't go anywhere."

Finally, it was Henry's father's turn. "Dad's leaving now, be good at home."

"Mmm, daddy hug daddy~"

Andre hugged him, then passed him through the window once more.

After everyone had left, Henry started playing with his grandfather again. Mia, having had her fill of laughter, was eating while helping Leo look for housing listings online, sending any suitable ones to Anya for her advice. Anya spent her morning studying at the library. Oh, and Chad had signed her up for a computer skills certification exam without her knowing.

The application was approved, and the fee was paid. The exam was in September, and Leo only informed her now, leaving her clueless about the material.

"Chad, I don't know anything," she admitted.

Leo responded, "Then go learn. Why would I sign you up if you already knew how to do it?"

Afterward, Leo sent her a compressed video tutorial to help her study.

Aware that her home environment wasn't conducive to studying, Anya diligently made her way to the library.

Strangely, ever since pairing up with Leo, the school's library no longer felt right to her, but the public library, despite lacking the school's facilities, offered a serene atmosphere with its aged woody scent, allowing her to focus.

At noon, Leo took a break to meet her, and they went out for lunch. "Chad, I wanted to bring you breakfast this morning, but the baby held me back, and by the time I left, it was too late. I didn't want to disturb you at work, so I ended up eating your breakfast."

A smile crept over Leo's handsome face as he passed her the chopsticks. "Tell me how Henry managed to be more captivating than his brother and made me miss my breakfast."

Anya, bursting into laughter, shared amusing stories from the morning. "The baby mistook grandpa for mommy and bit him while looking for milk, haha. Aunt Mia laughed so hard her stomach and mouth hurt."

Leaning back in his chair, Leo laughed along. "Did anyone scold him?"

"Grandpa couldn't bear to scold him. When the baby reached out asking for a hug, grandpa picked him up again."

Leo remarked, "That kid is something, inheriting Mia's charm."

Leo longed to witness these family moments, but unfortunately, he had no such opportunity.

Sensing his feelings, Anya reassured, "Chad, there will be more opportunities for baby at home. I'll record videos for you."

"Let's eat quickly. I'll drop you off at the library. If you're tired, take a nap there. Don't go looking at houses alone in the afternoon."

After lunch, Anya bought two of her favorite drinks and one she hadn't tried before. She drank the familiar ones and offered the new one to Leo.

"Chad, can I try yours to see if it's good?" If it tasted good, she'd buy it next time; if not, she'd let Chad have it.

Leo was silent.

Yet, Anya's desire to share was strong, lifting her favorite drink to Leo's lips. "Chad, try this. It's really good."

The Cedillo family's straightforward man remembered Anya's favorite and decided to buy her this drink next time instead of mineral water.

He took a sip. "It's sour enough to soften teeth. What's this flavor?"

"Passion fruit, it's really good."

In the afternoon, Anya studied in the library until four, then started coordinating with realtors to view apartments.

House hunting was exhausting. After several days, she hadn't found anything she liked.

Luckily, Mia, a native of Havenbrook, was more familiar with the local environment and communities than Anya. She directly searched within specific neighborhoods for listings. Soon, she found a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and sent it to Anya.

Leo accompanied Anya to view the place. It had good light and even a small balcony. The other tenants were all guys; even the living room was partitioned off for rent.

"Bro, this master bedroom faces the sun and has a balcony and bathroom. It'll be convenient when your girlfriend visits. If you guys don't cook, this is the best option." Anya liked it, but the rent was a bit steep. Bargaining, Anya went into action. "Can you lower the price? How about $1500 a month?" "Miss, this is..."

Leo immediately glared at the realtor. "Who are you calling 'miss'?"

The realtor was taken aback, having meant no offense by his remark.

"Ma'am, hear me out." It's said that realtors are shrewd for a reason. With a twist of words, Anya's status was elevated.

Anya was momentarily lost in the term "ma'am."

"This is the city center. Even a secondary bedroom outside costs $1800 a month. For such a good room, spacious too, it's at least $2800 a month."

Anya's bargaining tactics were, as usual, relentless.

Seeing his girlfriend trying hard to think of a solution warmed Leo's heart. He looked around, hiding a smile. "How about $2500? We'll sign a long-term lease."

The realtor hesitated, and Anya pulled out her phone. "Wait, I'll call my aunt."

Leo stopped her, addressing the realtor. "The subway isn't nearby, and the community is old. $2500 is fair. Let's sign the contract now. There's no need to argue over this with a lady. Let's keep it straightforward." Anya frowned. "Chad, that's expensive. The other place you found was only a little over a thousand."

Leo gave her a look, and Anya immediately became displeased. "Chad, my aunt sent me listings for other communities too. Let's check those out. This one's too expensive."

The realtor replied, "I'll call the landlord and discuss."

After the realtor left, Anya asked, "Chad, will the landlord agree?"

Leo glanced back. "He's not contacting the landlord. He's talking to his manager. For these properties, landlords usually hand them over to the agencies, setting a minimum monthly price. The rest is up to the agency to decide." Before long, the rent was settled. "Shall we go to the office to sign the contract then?"

Anya still felt bad about spending Chad's money, but since they had found a house she really liked, it offered her some consolation. After receiving the keys, the agent saw Anya and Leo out, saying, "Take care, you two. If you need anything, just give me a call." Anya, clinging to Leo's arm, couldn't hide her smile. "Chad, shall we come back to him next time we're looking for a place?"
