Henry pouted for more food, his little mouth munching away, drawing adoring looks from the older folks in the Byrne family, who saw him as the epitome of cuteness. Grandpa Elmer and Grandma Aubree stood nearby, hands clasped behind their backs, their eyes filled with warmth and affection.

Seeing the joy in their eyes, Molly laughed and asked, "Hey Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, how about I have a kid for you too?" Coleen replied, "You're still young, no rush. Just bring Henry over now and then for us to enjoy."

Henry was too focused on the feast in front of him to care about his mom's video call.

Mia hung up and called her husband. "Hey, when you're off work, swing by the Byrnes and pick up your little foodie."

"Why's the little foodie over there again?" he asked.

Mia, munching on some popcorn, said, "His aunt felt sorry for him and whisked him away."

Andre, amused, asked, "And how's my big foodie doing?"

"Snacking on popcorn and waiting for you! Oh, and honey, don't show up at the Byrnes empty-handed."

Andre's heart warmed at his wife's thoughtful reminder. He smiled, hung up, and got back to work.

Being in a good mood seemed to make everything go smoother. Since getting hitched to Mia, Andre's overseas business ventures had really taken off, meaning more trips to stabilize the market. "The boss, should we book your flight to Australia for next week?"

Andre paused, "Nah, let me check if Mia wants to tag along." Then he instructed, "Hey, prep some gifts for my trunk. I'm picking up the kid from the Byrnes later."

"Why's Henry at the Byrnes again?" Even Noah was puzzled by Henry's whereabouts.

"Molly took him," Andre clarified.

After work, Andre showed up at the Byrne place, arms full of thoughtful gifts.

Though he was just there to pick up his son, he also represented his sister's family, so he made sure to follow the proper etiquette, just as Mia had advised. "Andre, you're here! You didn't have to bring anything," Coleen greeted him warmly.

After the pleasantries, Andre called out to his son playing on the floor, "Henry, let's head home, buddy."

Seeing his dad, Henry crawled over at lightning speed, climbing onto Andre's shoes, "Ah da ba ba."

Andre picked up Henry, straightened his clothes, and asked, "Did you have fun at your aunt's place today?"

Henry responded by planting a slobbery kiss on his dad's cheek.

"Alright, Coleen, we'll get going," Andre said.

Coleen tried to persuade them to stay, "Why not stick around for dinner?"

Andre politely declined, "Mia's waiting at home for him. He's been away all afternoon, and she's been anxious." Turning to his sister, he asked, "You coming?" Molly grabbed her purse, "Mom, I'm heading out too. If Chad comes back, let him stay here. I'm off to meet my friends."

Chad arrived home late, hands full of street food, "Molly?"

Coleen informed him, "She's gone back to the Cedillos. You're flying solo tonight."

Chad, setting down his food, announced, "I'm gonna fetch her from the Cedillos."

Coleen advised against it, noting the constant back-and-forth made it seem like a tug-of-war over Molly, who often quarreled with her father-in-law at the Cedillos. Chad thought it over, realizing his father-in-law indeed wasn't too fond of the situation.

Ultimately, heeding his mother's advice, Chad didn't insist, "I brought some snacks; you and grandma enjoy them."

"Your grandma's asleep, and I've already brushed my teeth. Just put the snacks in the fridge; Molly will want them when she's back," Coleen suggested. Chad then headed upstairs.

Back at the Cedillos, Henry sat on his mom's lap, his chubby face beaming as he "chatted" with her, his babbling sounds delightful to hear.

Mia hugged her son with one arm, "Did you go to your uncle to tattle?"

"Ooh-"

Mia teased, "You've got quite the backup. Not just your great uncle and aunt, but also your aunt and uncle."

"Mhm~"

Henry's perfect responses had the whole living room bursting into laughter.

After dinner with their son, Naomi and her husband went to the supermarket to stock up on fruits, milk, and bread for him before feeling at ease to leave.

Leo initially resisted joining his parents but, seeing their disappointment, agreed to make them happy.

Checking the time, Molly quietly stood to call Chad, "Hey, have you gotten home?"

"I'm home, just showered and about to sleep. And you?"

Molly, sitting cross-legged in the backyard, shared, "We were just talking about Henry. You should get some rest; I'm going to spend some time with my little bundle of joy." After a brief pause, Chad asked, "Anything else, Molly?"

"No, that's it," Molly ended the call, leaning back in her chair to gaze up at the tent ceiling, sighing.

"Sighing doesn't suit you," quipped Mia, emerging with her son in one arm, tossing him into her friend's lap. "You've been off. We were joking around, and you were miles away. What's up?" Molly adjusted her posture, hugging her nephew tight, then confided, "Chad didn't come to pick me up tonight."

"So he didn't. What's the big deal?" Mia was puzzled.

Molly frowned, "It's not like him. Whenever I'm here, he either picks me up or stays the night. I called him, and he'd already showered, ready for bed, without a word about picking me up."

Mia brushed it off, "Maybe it's because you two were inseparable when you first got married, not wanting to spend a night apart. Now that the honeymoon phase is over, you've settled into an old married couple routine, thinking it's no big deal not to check in. Molly, why are you suddenly so sensitive?"

Molly shook her head, her arms wrapped around her little nephew's head, "Mia, I wouldn't have been sensitive about it before, but guess who I ran into today?"

This time, it was Mia's turn to shake her head. "Who?"

"My husband Chad's first love."

"What?! I thought you were Chad's first love?" Mia was more shocked than if she'd heard her own husband had a first love.

Molly waved her hand, her emotions running high, yet afraid of being overheard by family, she lowered her voice to a whisper, "No. Chad had a girlfriend in college, and she was a police officer. Before he pressured me into marrying him, I always felt Chad still had feelings for his ex. The way he treats me is like, affectionate in a sibling kind of way."

For the first time, a look of worry appeared on Molly's face.

Mia was still incredulous, "Really? Don't wrongly accuse your Chad."

"Mia, don't be so naive. Chad has always been a standout wherever he goes, it's not strange for him to have had relationships."
