Molly gave a sheepish grin, "Well, Andre, I was worried about discussing it in the living room earlier. I didn't want Dad and my brother Naomi to get the wrong idea that Leo was buying something for Anya, so I pulled Mia aside to chat. We really weren't up to any mischief this time."

Mia nodded quickly, raising her hands, "Honey, I wasn't up to anything sneaky- Really, just look into my eyes and see how sincere I am."

Andre glanced at his wife who winked at him on purpose, and an unstoppable smile crept onto his face. After he smiled, Andre realized he hadn't managed to keep up his serious image. "Next time, just speak up, no more secret meetings." "Oh~" Mia agreed, but it was clear she had no intention of following through.

Molly echoed her agreement, deciding to deal with future issues later.

"Honey, did you just say Mrs. Calder is pregnant? Is it the Mrs. Calder we know?" Mia asked.

Andre nodded, "It's probably not public knowledge yet, so let's keep it to ourselves."

The special someone Leo was talking about could only be his future sister-in-law, currently his girlfriend, Anya!

Both sisters nodded obediently, and Andre, still not fully reassured, gave them a last glance before heading back to the living room, calling out, "Henry, come down and practice walking, no more being carried."

Once he was gone, the two women resumed their amazed conversation, "Leo's gonna have a lot of younger siblings trailing him in the future."

Molly chimed in, "I'm about to add a little brother or sister to the mix for Leo."

Mia added, “I've already added one."

Receiving a photo on his phone, Leo went out to buy gifts for his future brother-in-law or sister-in-law.

The trunk of his car was filled to the brim, and before dawn the next morning, Leo was on the road to pick up his girlfriend.

Anya's luggage was already downstairs.

Mr. Calder wasn't too happy, "It's only the 22nd tomorrow, why's Leo coming so early today?"

"Chad must be really missing me," Anya said, a bit full of herself.

Mr. Calder asked, "If he misses you, why do you have to go with him?"

"Well, I miss him too."

His daughter, smitten with love, wasn't as docile as before.

Around eleven, Leo drove into the Calder family's driveway.

Getting out of the car, he opened the trunk, leaving Mr. Calder astonished.

The gifts Leo brought each visit were more than what most would bring for a proposal.

Mrs. Calder's belly was slightly protruding, having gained some weight from all the care at home, looking a bit like a chubbier Anya.

With the trunk empty, Leo went inside, grabbed Anya's suitcase without a word, and placed it in his trunk, as if afraid she wouldn't leave with him.

Mr. Calder asked, "Leaving today?"

Leo replied, "Not leaving today, just putting it in for now. I'm staying at a hotel tonight and will take Anya home tomorrow."

He was so eager he preferred to come a day early.

Anya, adorably naive, said, "Chad, my house has plenty of rooms, why stay at a hotel? You could crash at my place." Mr. Calder: "..

Leo cleared his throat, "It's not really appropriate, I'll stick with the hotel."

"What's not appropriate? I can sleep at your place, why can't you at mine?"

Mr. and Mrs. Calder exchanged a glance at their naïve daughter.

Leo, with his hand on his chin, thought his girlfriend should be nicknamed 'Silly Bunny'.

Mrs. Calder quickly changed the subject to ease the awkwardness, "Anya, help mom get a glass of water."

"Okay."

Mrs. Calder pulled her daughter aside and whispered, "Staying at the Cedillo family as Andre's niece is different from him staying here as my daughter's boyfriend. If this gets out, the gossip will drown us." Anya pouted, seeming to get it.

After lunch, when Leo was about to head to the hotel, Anya said, "Chad, I'll go with you."

Mrs. Calder quickly restrained her daughter, "Just see Leo off."

Anya insisted, "It's okay, I'll accompany Chad to the hotel."

Leo seemed to reflect on the clingy Anya from before.

Leo coughed twice, "Stay home, spend more time with your folks. I have to study at the hotel, but I'll come back tonight."

"Chad~"

"Be good." Leo's tone left no room for refusal.

Anya, reluctantly, said, "Alright then."

After seeing Leo to the door, the Calder family watched him drive away. Once he was gone, Mrs. Calder pinched her daughter's cheek, "Come here, let's have a chat."

Anya was led away.

Back at the hotel, Leo felt more old-fashioned than his girlfriend.

In the Cedillo family group chat, a fresh video popped up showing Henry oversleeping and not waking up even when his mom scolded him. Molly's voice chimed in, "If Chad showed up, Henry would be up in no time." Her Chad had all sorts of tricks to deal with sleepyheads.

Mia suggested, "Molly, grab a big drumstick from the kitchen and tempt him awake with the smell."

Leo closed the video, chuckled, and lay down for a nap.

In the evening, Leo was back at the Calder's doorstep. His visits always meant taking Anya out for a good time.

This time, Leo waited at the doorstep for his girlfriend instead of going in. Soon, Anya, dressed in a pretty white dress and all dolled up, ran out.

Leo, sitting in the car, was taken aback by her appearance, captivated. She was like a sprite, full of life and motion.

She hopped into the car, sitting beside Leo, "Chad, let's hit the night market, shall we?"

Leo hid his admiration, teasing, "What's with all that foundation? Is flour free at your place? And those lips, if we kissed, your lipstick might shave a few seconds off my life. Your lips were already perfect, now you look like you're ready for an opera!" Anya: "...Chad, I'm heading home, you go to the night market by yourself."

As she unbuckled her seatbelt, ready to leave, Leo pulled her back immediately. "Forget it, I'll just end up smudging your lipstick later."

Anya: "Chad, if we don't kiss, you'll live a few seconds less."

"That's okay, I've got a long life ahead, a few seconds don't matter."

Leo hit the gas, driving off with his girlfriend.

At a red light, Leo glanced at his girlfriend, who had put a lot of effort into her appearance. With a cheeky smile, he reached over to Anya's leg, grabbed her hand, and guided it to shift into drive.

Anya tilted her head, looking confused yet adorable.

Leo, pretending to be stern, said, "I'm teaching you how to drive."

"Oh." But with Chad doing this, her heart was racing.

As they neared the night market, the chaotic parking situation tested his driving skills, a challenge even veteran drivers would avoid. But Leo let Anya out first, then expertly maneuvered the wheel, parking the car perfectly. Anya clapped in admiration; her boyfriend was amazing, better than anyone else.
