Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance -
Chapter 880
Everyone was puzzled. "Lee? Really?" No one could have guessed it was Lee. Wasn't he the one who had been saying Vincent was interested in Leo? Could he have been throwing everyone off?
Leo chimed in, "This afternoon, Vincent pulled me into his office to ask me to check out Sean. So, you all can casually keep an eye out for Vincent's future son-in-law."
"Are you serious?" The group was skeptical.
"Leo's explanation makes some sense. We all know Lee is Vincent's right-hand man and the current favorite."
As they reached the ground floor, the elevator doors opened.
Leo stepped out and immediately spotted her in the crowd. She was the one who stood out to him, idly studying the square tiles on the floor and childishly tracing their edges. "Ms. Anya," Leo called out.
Anya looked up, turned around, and saw her boyfriend coming. She joyfully ran over to him, "Chad, what took you so long?"
Leo's colleagues halted, staring at the unfamiliar face. She looked familiar-wasn't she the girl in the photo on Leo's desk?
Leo gently cupped Anya's face, scrunching her cheeks playfully. In the bustling lobby, where everyone was rushing home, he leaned down, lifted her face, and kissed her, "Alright, I admit it, my bad. Forgive me with a kiss?" Anya's face turned a shade of red, embarrassingly enough!
"Chad-What are you doing?"
Leo kissed her again, "Your boyfriend messed up. I'll be out earlier next time."
He let her go, took her laptop bag, and wrapped an arm around her. To his colleagues, he said, "This is my girlfriend. We should all grab dinner sometime." Then, hugging Anya, he added, "Let's head out. Haven't seen her in a while; we should catch up." Anya, wrapped in Chad's embrace, excitedly wrapped her arms around his waist, "Chad, are we really going on a date? Where are we headed? If I knew it was a date, I wouldn't have brought my laptop. I thought you wanted me to study!"
With an arm around her shoulder, Leo tapped her forehead, letting her rest her head under his arm, "You wish! I was just bluffing. Exams are soon, so let's get to studying when we get back."
"Ah~~" Anya's face fell with disappointment.
Why did Chad have to put on a show?
As they walked, Anya was silent for a few minutes, then suddenly stopped, "Chad, someone's trying to steal me away!"
Leo, startled by her sudden outburst, quickly pulled her close again, "Who dares to try and steal Miss Anya away?"
Anya nodded, realizing maybe no one was actually trying to. She let Chad hold her as they continued walking. Suddenly, she stopped again, "Wait, they don't know I'm Ms. Anya, so they might still try."
Leo, startled again, said, "Hey, don't scare me like that! You're lucky to have someone as handsome as me; appreciate it a bit, will you?"
Anya pouted, taking tiny steps into Leo's embrace, gently patting his chest.
"Alright, let's go. No more surprises, okay?" Leo said.
Mia had once said that Anya was smart and sensitive. Despite her sometimes ditzy demeanor, she wasn't entirely clueless. She could
see through things but would pretend not to know when people wanted to keep her in the dark. Still, she had her ways of safeguarding herself.
Leo, back then, hadn't been patient enough to listen.
Now, with Anya pouting and keeping her thoughts to herself, Leo hadn't noticed.

From Leo's sudden outing with colleagues, the public kiss, and the announcement of a date, Anya knew Chad was putting on a show. It wasn't about work; it had to be some romantic drama, showing everyone: I have someone.
Anya's mind was working overtime; maybe someone was trying to set Chad up with someone else, or someone had their eyes on him.
Chad didn't tell her because he didn't want her to worry or overthink. He could handle it without affecting their relationship.
When they reached their place, Leo pressed the elevator button, saying, "The car's downstairs. We live close to the office, just a short walk. Next time, bring a parasol for me too." "Chad, if you want a parasol, I'll get you one," Anya said.
Leo, holding her close as they entered the elevator, said, "A guy like me walking around with a parasol would look odd. But if I'm with my... girlfriend, holding it for you, I'd look like a gentleman." Leo nearly said "wife" but caught himself.
Anya pouted, "But celebrities do it, and they're not weird. I actually like it."
At the door, Leo entered the password and said, "Ms. Anya, wait here. I'll check inside."
"What, hiding someone in there?" Anya teased, trying to peek in.
Leo gently pushed her back, "If I were, would I bring my main girl here?"
He opened the door and called inside, "Hey, if you're not dressed, get decent. My girlfriend's here."
"Leo, let her in, we want to meet her!" someone shouted, heading to their room.
"Get dressed first!" Leo replied.
Then he opened the door wide for Anya, "Come on, let's see how many secret lovers I've got in my room."
Anya blushed and playfully protested, "Chad, you're such a tease."
Back in Leo's room, familiar territory, Anya dropped her bag on the coat rack by the door. Many of the little things in Leo's room, he never
used-they were there for when net
Anya was around. Like the coat rack; Leo would usually just toss his
clothes straight into the laundry without bothering to hang them.
