Servant: "Miss, the guys have headed to work, and the young master and the lady are out with Leo to grab some grad school prep books for you."

Mia was taken aback, shouting, "Nobody even told me what I'm supposed to be studying for!"

She quickly dialed Cooper, "Hey, where are you?"

Cooper had just left the bookstore, lugging a bag of books and cradling the little chubby one, "Getting books for you."

"What am I even studying for?"

Cooper: "Grad school, and you're asking what for."

"What subject?"

"You'll replace out when we get back. Your son picked them out. Not my fault-he started gnawing on a book and slobbered all over it. The store wouldn't let us leave without buying it."

Henry, who couldn't talk yet, was all dressed up, sitting on his grandma's lap, clutching a red bag, wondering what was inside and if it was edible.

Back home, Mia was already plotting how to handle her mischievous son. "Henry, when you get back, you're getting a spanking."

Mia called her husband, "Hey, Andre, what's the deal with that late-night meeting you guys had?"

"Grad school, law."

Mia: "...Andre!"

Andre: "I'll explain when I get home, I'm in a meeting now."

After hanging up, Mia stepped out, waiting on the doorstep for the car to return.

Cooper was the first one back, driving into the yard. Madison got out holding her grandson, and Cooper carried a bag of books, "Sis, I pulled an all-nighter sorting these for you. If you get through this stack, I promise... Sis, why are you chasing me?" Cooper took off running.

Mia chased after him, yelling, "I'm gonna get you!"

Henry's eyes trailed the action, crying when his grandma tried to take him inside, insisting on watching the spectacle.

Madison chuckled at the curious child, "What a little troublemaker."

Henry, with his chubby cheeks, watched eagerly as his mom nearly caught his uncle. He stopped crying when she finally did, cheering as she playfully swatted Cooper, waving his arms for his mom to pick him up, babbling happily.

Mia rolled up her pajama sleeves, having not changed since morning, and went over to Henry. Henry thought she was coming for a hug and flung himself at her, only to get his diaper pulled down and his little bottom playfully smacked. Watching the scene, Henry pouted and started to cry.

Cooper quipped, "Serves you right for enjoying the show too much. Now you got spanked too."

Henry, still sniffling, clung to his mom.

Back at the house, Mia sat on the couch and asked calmly, "Explain why I should study law."

Cooper: "My brother-in-law's idea: he doesn't want you under too much stress. Grad school is about exploring new things, having a good time. He also said you love being where the action is, and boring fields and jobs aren't for you. So, be voted for law."

Belet

Mia nodded, seeing her husband had a point since she wasn't cut out for dull work Plus, he had said he didn't want her jumping into the job market too soon; with just a bachelor's and no work experience or accolades, good jobs wouldn't consider her, and she wouldn't

consider bad ones.

As for using connections, she definitely wouldn't join the Cedillo Group, not wanting to interfere with what was left for her brother.

Cedillo Inc. was a no-go too. She knew her husband had a spot open next to him and was trying to lure her in. But without real skills, she wouldn't gain Andre's respect. Being inexperienced and constantly asking her husband for help wasn't realistic. "Go on," Mia said.

Cooper: "Mom thinks an office job is more stable for a girl. At first, she wanted you to study admin management, but my brother-in-law thought your fiery temper might not fit, fearing you might rule with an iron fist."

Mia held her son, who couldn't be soothed by anyone else, and said, "...Keep talking."

Cooper continued: "Mom agreed, thinking law is stable whether at a firm or a company office."

Mia gestured for him to continue.

Cooper: "Dad wants you to have a high social status, flexible time, and good benefits. This fits the bill."

Mia indicated for him to go on.

Cooper: "I think you're not cut out for

finance, economics, accounting,

business management... You wouldn't manage. Your English is so-so, and let's not even start on math. You nearly lost your hair over

calculus. So, this might be the best

option. No math, manageable

English, should be fine."

As Cooper braced for another hit, Mia asked, "What's the difference between a professional and an academic master's?"

Cooper: "...Sis, are you serious?"

Mia pushed her son onto the couch and got up to chase after Cooper again.

Henry, catching on, rolled on the couch, about to cry when he heard his grandma say, "Stop fighting, I'm calling your dad."

Henry instantly stopped crying, proudly climbing up behind the couch, watching his mom playfully chase his uncle, making little noises.

Later that afternoon, Andre and Aaron came home together.

Cooper, having been smacked by his sister twice that day, kept a safe distance from Mia.

"Brother-in-law, explain the difference between a professional and an academic master's to your wife."

And so, Cooper got a third playful swat that day, with Henry witnessing all the fun.

Andre sat Mia down, calming her, and patiently explained the differences between the two types of graduate programs.

Before, she hadn't paid much attention, and so she was out of the loop. The family had only come up with these plans the night before.

Henry crawled onto the couch, replaceing his way into his dad's arms, playfully nibbling on Andre's face.

Andre, holding his son with one arm, continued discussing with Mia, "You've got a knack for speaking, you're skilled with your hands, and you think quickly. You'd make an excellent lawyer someday."
