Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 317 Willingly
When they came back from the hospital, Hiram was driving the car, and Charles was holding Nancy in his arms.
Still angry, Nancy refused to look at Charles and turned her face away from him.
Charles sighed in an almost inaudible way. Looking at Nancy's stubborn appearance, he couldn't help but feel miserable and helpless.
"What's so good about Edward, Nancy?" Maybe it was the anger that made Charles' voice hoarse when he said, "Even at his best, he isn't my equal. Tell me one thing that he is better at when compared to me."
"He is better than you in everything!" Nancy still didn't compromise.
Hiram could almost hear Charles grinding his teeth in anger.
Hiram thought, 'Ah, Charles, why don't you understand that love requires compromise. You should only worry about Nancy and her health right now. Why are you getting jealous over meaningless stuff?'
"Mr. Fu, why don't you ask Miss Ning what she wants to eat? If she wants to eat something, I can stop at a good restaurant," said Hiram, trying to break the couple's fight.
Charles was not a stupid man. When he heard Hiram's words, his sharp eyes softened in an instant.
Charles decided to ask Nancy, but before he could even ask, Nancy said in a cold tone, 'Tm not hungry."
And consequently, Charles' anger flared up again, and his face became rigid.
"Not hungry? Good!" Charles snorted.
Nancy glanced at Charles' face. There was a deep scratch on his side cheek, which looked like a faint red bloodstain. She guessed that she must have left it last night. 'You deserve it! This is what you get for bullying me.'
Nancy believed that Charles wronged her. She promised herself that she would disfigure Charles if he dared to bully her again.
Looking out the window, Nancy scolded Charles in her heart.
Charles rubbed his face and squinted his eyes in frustration.
Hiram sighed helplessly. It turned out that his boss had a high IQ but a low EQ. He could capture the market with his IQ, but he would become hopeless in the face of love. Sure enough, everyone had their own weaknesses.
Looking at the angry couple, Hiram laughed secretly, thinking that they looked... cute.
After dropping off Charles and Nancy, Hiram parked the car in the courtyard. Charles had planned on carrying her out.
However, Nancy wasn't too keen on it. She shrugged at his proposal, and after getting released from his arms, walked into the villa alone.
Charles stood there with his arms hanging, and eyes twitching.
Hiram smiled and tried to encourage Charles, "Mr. Fu, you can do it!"
"Don't mock me. Go away." After that, Charles followed Nancy.
Hiram shrugged, stepped on the gas, and drove away.
After returning to the villa, Nancy went straight to the bedroom.
Then she closed the door and didn't come out.
Charles stood alone in the lobby. He was so annoyed that everything seemed irritating to him.
At noon, Charles cooked Nancy's favorite chicken rice. He knocked on the bedroom door, but Nancy didn't respond.
In the afternoon, Charles made her favorite dinner dish, but she still didn't respond.
Charles was so angry that he threw the dish along with the bowl into the trash can.
He sat down on the large sofa alone and watched TV. As if trying to drown his frustration and sorrow, he drank glass after glass of red wine and smoked several cigarettes.
Charles always thought that he was a proud man. He never imagined that one day he would feel frustration over being ignored by a woman.
"Damn it!" Charles cursed in a low voice and called Hiram, asking him to bring Bobby and Nadia here.
Kids could always bring a lively and cheerful atmosphere with them.
With them here, at least the crippling silence would be broken.
Charles was sure that if Nancy kept silent for a little longer, he would go crazy.
It was said that women were like water, but in Charles's opinion, Nancy was just like a rock-stubborn and hard to change. Regardless of how much he tried, she would never change her opinions. 'I have done so much for her, but why can't she see it?' thought Charles.
Hiram drove to the old mansion of the Fu family.
Sitting on the sofa, Angelina fiddled with several photos of women, downloaded and printed from the Internet.
Yesterday, she showed the photo of Edward holding Nancy to Frederic.
"Father, look at her. Nancy is getting more and more unreasonable. She is involved with so many men. How can she be a pure woman? I'm really worried about Charles being with such a frivolous woman." Frederic glanced at it and said, "It's none of our business. You know it too. Even when he was just a kid, Charles had a rebellious attitude. If you keep on poking your nose in his matters, then he just might abandon you instead of Nancy."
Frederic knew Charles better than anyone else. Charles was overbearing and self-centered. When he was irritated, he wouldn't even listen to him, let alone Angelina.
"Father, I'm saying this for the welfare of the Fu family. Nancy is not good enough for Charles," said Angelina and smiled awkwardly.
Frederic's words made her very angry, but she didn't dare to lose her temper.
Even if Charles was rebellious, he was still her son!
Did she have no say in her son's marriage?
Frederic snorted and said, "You think Nancy is a frivolous woman, right? Then if you have the ability, replace a woman for Charles. I will say it right now: you will come empty-handed." "Father, what do you think of Christine Huang? She is a new star and is much better than Dorothy. How about I ask someone to look into her? Look, she even has the same last name as mine. Judging from her appearance, she must be a good girl." Angelina put the photo of Christine in front of Frederic.
Frederic gave a scornful glance to the photo and said, "I advise you not to flatter yourself. Just let him make a decision on his own."
Without Frederic's support, Angelina sighed with disappointment.
Joseph came over and grabbed all the photos from Angelina's hands. "Auntie, since my brother doesn't care about them, why don't you leave them in my capable hands? When are you introducing these women to me?"
"Joseph, can you only think about women? Can't you do something serious? What's the point of idling around all day long?" Frederic said angrily.
Joseph was an inane individual. He only knew how to play with women and waste his time. Frederic was helpless and finally gave up on disciplining him. He always thought, 'Is he planning on playing with women his entire life with no sense of career?'
Joseph smiled wantonly. "Women are more important than career. Anyway, we still have brother for serious stuff."
"You! You're the black sheep of Fang family!" said Frederic, shivering from anger.
"I know. I'm a black sheep. But our family has so much money. Don't worry, Grandpa." Joseph didn't get mad and answered with a cheeky smile. Frederic didn't want to argue with Joseph anymore, so he stood up on his crutch and said, "You are just a playboy, ingrate! No one can save you." Then Frederic went upstairs with the help of his crutches.
Joseph was not convinced. When he was about to say something, he was stopped by Angelina. "Joseph, why are you alone? Where are the children?"
Ever since Hiram sent Bobby and Nadia back, the two kids stayed and played with Joseph.
Although Joseph was idle every day and had nothing to do except hang out with women, there was still one special skill that only he had: he was great at coaxing children. No, instead of coaxing, it was more like the kids loved to play with him.
