Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 364 The Rain Was Getting Heavier
"If you don't want to leave, just stay here!" Derrick had planned to ruin Charles' image so he could look better in front of the shareholders. He didn't expect that Nadia's real identity would be exposed and ruin his plan though. He felt nothing but anger and disgrace, leaving in a huff.
Looking at Frederic, Joseph smiled awkwardly and hurriedly followed Derrick. "Dad, I'm your son. How could I not go with you?"
Shaking his head, Frederic sighed, "Derrick is corrupting Joseph!"
All of a sudden his body began to shake and he fell over.
Fortunately, Hardy was there. He leapt up to save him and asked, "Dad, what's wrong?"
When they saw the paleness on Frederic's face, they rushed to surround him. "What's wrong? Call the doctor! II
"No, Charles. Tell me, is Nadia really yours?" Frederic struggled to ask.
"Yes, Grandpa. She's mine. Please believe me!" Charles said affirmatively.
"Okay, that's good. I'm fine. I'm just tired. Remember, you don't have to do anything tomorrow. Just take the children to the paternity test. I want the evidence!" Frederic exhorted worriedly.
"Okay!" Charles was actually a little nervous. When he last had a paternity test for Nadia, it wasn't exactly to his liking. He hoped that this time wouldn't be a repeat of that incident!
Nancy and Charles left Frederic's room and went to Charles'.
She looked at Charles uneasily.
Nancy didn't really want to do the paternity test.
"Charles, if the child is yours and we can't get married one day, will you take Nadia away from me?"
This was what she was most worried about. She had to replace out.
She had no clue what the future had in store for her.
Nancy was always an insecure woman!
"We are always going to be together, you are mine. And as for the children, I am the father. You have to believe me!" Charles didn't even imagine a day where Nancy would leave him. He definitely didn't think he'd ever have to answer such a question from Nancy.
Nancy couldn't respond but only sighed.
His confidence almost seemed naive. He acted as if he controlled everything, but Nancy just couldn't think like that.
She just felt nothing but anxiety.
The next morning, they went to the hospital to have their blood drawn.
Nancy stood aside and watched the blood slowly flowing out of the child's arm.
The doctors took it out swiftly after.
"Doctor, when will the result come back?" Charles asked.
"Mr. Fu, it will take a few days," the doctor replied.
"Okay."
Charles didn't really care about the results. He was adamant that the child was his.
As soon as Nancy and Charles walked out of the hospital, Hiram called.
"Hiram?" Charles thought it could possibly be about Edward so he eagerly answered.
"Mr. Fu, did you pick up the kids?" Hiram had been picking them up over the past few day but when he got to the kindergarten today, it seemed that they had already left.
Other than Nancy, Charles was the only person who could pick them up.
"Yes, I have the kids. Do you have any news about Edward?" Charles asked in disappointment.
"No. It's quite strange. How did he suddenly disappear? Where could he be?" Hiram asked helplessly.
"Please keep investigating. If we can't replace Edward, it will be a massive problem!" If Edward wasn't found soon, the media headlines were bound to just get worse and worse. It would devastate Nancy and the kids.
"Mr. Fu, don't worry. I will replace out where Edward is as soon as possible!" Hiram said before cutting the call.
"Daddy, where is Uncle Edward?" Bobby raised his head and asked.
"He will be back soon," Charles answered flatly.
Nancy sighed silently.
Charles held the two children's hands and carried on walking.
"Daddy, why don't you like Uncle Edward? He is so kind," Bobby asked inquisitively.
"You all like him. How can I like him as well?" Charles said coldly.
"Daddy, why can't we all like him?" Nadia asked.
"Okay, as long as you come home with me, I promise you that I will like him from now on." Charles lowered his head and glanced at the kids.
They then strode into the parking lot.
He didn't notice Angelina sitting in a taxi not far away.
She was actually stalking Charles the whole day but he still didn't notice.
She saw everything from the kindergarten, to the hospital.
She was very happy since she knew that Nadia was her granddaughter. When she saw that Nancy and Charles were together though, her blood boiled. Just seeing Nancy angry made Angelina even more furious.
Most women dreamed of marrying Charles. How could Nancy be angry at him?
She couldn't believe how spoiled she was.
After they left the hospital, Angelina got out of the car.
She went directly to the blood test laboratory.
"Madam, please don't come in."
As expected, Angelina wasn't allowed any further.
"I'm looking for the head of your blood test department, " Angelina said calmly.
The doctor looked at Angelina up and down, and noticed her elegant attire. The doctor soon called his department head over.
Angelina's plan was simple: bribe until she got what she wanted.
She had learnt to be more crafty though.
Unlike the last time when she gave all the money to Jill and Fannie.
Her new plan was to give half now and half when they delivered their end of the bargain.
Charles and Nancy went out to have dinner.
Charles was deliberately wasting time and for no apparent reason.
He only started drinking his juice when the children were already half asleep.
"Daddy, I'm so tired!" Nadia rubbed her eyes.
"Yes, I'm also tired!" Bobby added.
"We are going home." Nancy stood up and picked up Nadia.
"Since they're so sleepy, let's not go back to Edward's house. There is a hotel hear and I have a suite. We can stay here tonight." Charles then picked up Bobby. "Okay. That's fine, Daddy." Nadia yawned.
Nadia was so sleepy that she didn't care what they did, as long as she could sleep in a bed.
"Okay," Bobby said lazily.
"What if Edward goes home?" Nancy asked excitedly.
She knew that Edward had this habit. When they lived together abroad, he would wait for her no matter how late she came back.
Once, it was raining when she went to a party. The rain was getting heavier and heavier and eventually she couldn't come back for a while.
It was already three o'clock in the morning and Edward just drove to look for her.
Since then, Nancy hadn't spent a night away from the house.
