Frederic clutched his chest, his face paling.

When he heard Charles' footsteps approaching, he opened his eyes and turned towards him. "You're here."

"Grandpa, I didn't lie to you! The children are mine!" Charles pleaded, sitting down next to him.

"You didn't lie to me? Are you saying the paternity test lied to me? I'm disappointed in you, Charles. How could you fool me like this? I've been with you since you were a child. I had great hopes for you. I never thought you would do this to me," Frederic said sadly.

"Believe me, I didn't lie to you..." Charles explained.

"How could the paternity test be wrong?" Frederic questioned.

"My mother conned the results! She's never liked Nancy, you know that! Now she's claiming the children aren't mine to break us apart! It's just as I expected. How can you change your will so easily? Don't you trust me?"

"I can see that you still want the shares of the TS Group. I thought you were a man who wouldn't compromise his principles for money. It seems I was wrong about you. You're just like those greedy people! A high position with great benefits can change anyone!" Frederic continued, "I've called for Derrick. He'll be here soon. I've divided the group's shares equally between the two of you."

"Grandpa!" Charles protested. In truth, Charles didn't care about the shares. He was more concerned that Derrick would do something harmful after getting his hands on the shares. After all, he'd had his eyes on TS Group for a long time.

In the past, Derrick didn't have enough power to fight against Charles. Now that he had enough shares, it was impossible for him to stand by and watch.

"Grandpa..." Charles said again.

"My decision is final, Charles!" Frederic commanded, narrowing his eyes at him.

Charles clenched his fists.

"The results could've turned out that way because of the doctor's negligence. Will you let Nancy take the children to take the test again?" Angelina regretted her actions and tried to explain, but Frederic was no longer interested in hearing her words.

He didn't know who to trust anymore!

Even if he was aware of Angelina's intentions, he was more distressed about whether the children really were Charles'.

Frederic had always doubted Charles but still opted to give the two children three percent shares each out of respect for him. Combined with Charles' shares, it would be difficult for Derrick to overturn the TS Group.

However, Charles could only gain access to those shares if he could prove that the kids were his biological children and if he were to marry Nancy.

If Angelina were aware of that fact, she wouldn't be as distressed as she was now.

"Grandpa, please let me do another test with Bobby and Nadia tomorrow," Charles requested again.

Frederic shook his head and replied, "If you can lie to me this time around, what would keep you from lying to me again? Why should I believe you?" "Father, don't be so stubborn! The doctor just made a mistake. He won't make another," Angelina pleaded.

"Get out! I'm tired!" Frederic interrupted her, waving his hand in disgust.

Charles turned away from them and walked out.

Angelina followed after him.

"Charles, Charles..." Angelina repeatedly called his name.

Charles ignored her.

"Derrick will be here soon. What should I do?" Angelina shouted anxiously.

She didn't know how to fix this situation. What should she do?

Should she look for Nancy?

Should she let Nancy clarify that the two children were Charles'?

How would she replace Nancy? Angelina had always treated her poorly. Would she be able to convince her to help? Would she have to beg Nancy?

The sound of a car came from outside, followed by Derrick's hearty laughter.

"This is great! I knew you still cared for your son, Dad. You finally made the right decision! That's right!" Derrick laughed.

"Uncle, what are you talking about?" Charles asked as he stood in the corridor.

"I'm talking about the shares. I know your grandfather changed his will. I also know that he left half of his shares to me!" Derrick looked at Charles nonchalantly. "What do you think? Do you hate me?" he crooned.

"Those shares are only half of Grandpa's. It won't be enough to threaten me!" Charles sneered.

Derrick leaned over and asked with a sinister smile, "What if I'm able to acquire the shares of the other shareholders?" "Do you think they will sell it?" Charles asked in disdain.

"We'll have to wait and see!" Derrick replied and walked into the villa.

"Derrick! How can you be so ungrateful? What have we ever done to you? How dare you bully Charles!" Angelina shouted.

"Humph. You have no right to lecture me. I'm here to see my dad," Derrick replied as he walked upstairs.

Charles walked straight to the yard. Now that he lost Frederic's trust, it was no use to explain any further. It would be better if he just left.

"Charles, where are you going?" Angelina asked desperately.

Charles ignored her and drove away in his car.

Sitting on the stairs, Angelina wiped her tears away, severely regretting her actions.

Charles was frustrated by the entire situation. He picked up his phone to call Nancy and tell her that he would be picking up the children.

Nancy was speaking with Edward about what had happened the past few days when she received Charles' call. She agreed to Charles' request.

The public opinions of the media overwhelmed her and made her feel uncomfortable.

When the two children saw Charles, they asked, "Daddy, is Uncle Edward back?"

"He's been back for a while now," Charles replied impatiently.

"Great! Let's go home and replace Uncle Edward. I want to ask what he's been up to and why he came back so late! Didn't he miss us?" Bobby said bitterly. "Fine. What's the first thing you want to do when you see Uncle Edward?" Charles asked curiously.

"Of course, I would give Uncle Edward a kiss! We both missed him very much, right Bobby?" Nancy asked Bobby obediently, tilting her head.

"You're right, Uncle Edward loves us very much!" With a knowing look in his big eyes, Bobby turned to look at Charles.

Charles drove the children home silently. He was upset even if the children had said nothing wrong.

When they arrived home, the children rushed out of the car and entered the villa.

Rushing towards Edward, they greeted him excitedly, "Uncle Edward, you're back! We missed you!"

A wry and jealous smile appeared on Charles' face as he watched them. Even though he doted on his children, he had never heard such intimate words from them.

Edward was really good at coaxing children!

After discussing Nancy's current situation with Charles, Edward gave her two choices. The first option was to take advantage of this opportunity and take Nadia away if she didn't love Charles, and wanted to leave him.

The second option was to help Charles prove that he was the biological father, and spend the rest of her life with him.

Nancy remained silent. She didn't know what to choose!

Deciding what to do was the most difficult thing in the world!
