Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 370 A Warm Time

The dinner ended with everyone feeling warm and happy.

After washing the dishes, Nancy left the kitchen and saw the two children playing blocks. She found Charles and Edward on the sofa watching TV together.

The two men were watching international events and chatted as they watched. Nancy had no interest in their conversation, and remained quiet.

"Kids, do you need me to help you shower?" Nancy asked.

"Mommy, bathe me first!" Nadia requested as she ran over.

"I can bathe by myself. I'm a little man now!" Bobby answered matter-of-factly as he came over.

Taking the two children's hands in her hands, Nancy turned to go upstairs. As she passed Edward, she noticed a red spot on his arm. Squinting to take a better look, she realized that it was blood on his arm. She walked over to him in horror.

"Edward, is your arm hurt?"

Edward rushed to cover the spot with his hands. "It's not a big deal; it's just a small wound."

Frowning, Charles grabbed Edward's hand and slowly lifted his sleeve. His arm was covered in wounds.

"Charles, I don't want the children to see it!" Edward whispered.

"Edward!" Nancy said, feeling shocked and distressed.

"Nancy, go and take the children upstairs. I'll handle this," Charles commanded.

"But..." Nancy interrupted.

"Please, just listen to me!" Charles said firmly.

"Okay," she agreed. As she took the children to shower, she couldn't stop worrying about the wounds on Edward's arm.

Who kidnapped him? Did they hit him? If she ever saw them, she would make them pay.

Nancy felt a lump on her throat. If the children weren't around, she would've been crying by now.

When Nancy and the children left, Charles lifted Edward 's top and saw that his back was covered in wounds.

"They hit you?" Charles asked with gritted teeth.

Edward nodded in reply.

"I won't let them get away with this," Charles said in a hard voice.

"Don't jeopardize your position at the TS Group for me. It's not worth it!" He suspected that this was Derrick and Joseph's doing, but he had no evidence to prove it. Edward didn't want to drag Charles down with him. Realizing that he caused the situation to happen, he wanted to suffer by himself and not get anyone involved. "Edward, don't be too kind with these people. They're beasts. Your kindness is wasted on them." Charles took out a medicine box and began to treat Edward's wounds. Edward clenched his teeth and hissed in pain as Charles cleaned his wounds.

"What the hell happened to you?" Charles asked.

Edward narrowed his eyes and thought back to what happened that day. His fear lingered when he remembered.

The truth was, he had been married to Nancy abroad without her knowing.

He wanted to go back and deal with it in private. As he arrived at the airport, someone hit the back of his head. Edward was knocked unconscious as soon as he left the taxi. When he woke up, he found himself in a warehouse.

"Beat him up! He'll only stand in our way!" Edward couldn't recognize the man giving orders, but he had a fierce face.

"Who are you? Why did you bring me here?" As far as Edward knew, he had no enemies. He had no idea why these people would take him away.

The fierce man ignored his question. "Beat him from time to time. Only give him water. Give him only enough food to prevent him from starving to death."

The man gave Edward a brutish look, and then walked away.

A younger man in his twenties stayed behind. He smiled slyly before he began to whip Edward with a rope.

If Edward hadn't been tied up, this man would be no match for him!

However, they tied him up so that he couldn't move.

"I have no issue with you. Why are you hitting me?" Edward asked.

"The boss asked me to hit you." The young man smiled wickedly and continued to whip Edward.

Edward grunted in pain. "Who is your boss?" "Why would I tell you? If you don't behave, this will be a lot harder for you. I can be gentle if you cooperate. I promise you won't die!" he jeered. The young man whipped Edward hard.

Edward didn't say anything else. He knew these people had a reason for taking him.

When the young man finished his beating, Edward asked in a trembling voice, "Are you that afraid of Charles and Nancy getting married? If Charles found out that you took me, do you think he would let you

go?"

The young man turned around and looked at Edward viciously. "Who do you think you are, Edward?" he spat at him. "In his eyes, you're nothing but an ant! Don't overestimate yourself!"

Edward was locked up in the abandoned warehouse for two consecutive days.

After that, was transferred to a basement.

Edward had no idea where he was.

Fortunately, his hands and feet were untied. He feared he would starve to death here, and didn't expect for an old man to come by and send him food from time to time. He tried to ask the old man where he was, but the old man just looked at him and said nothing.

Edward suspected that this was one of Derrick's schemes, but had no evidence to prove it.

When Charles shared his suspicions, Edward agreed with him. Derrick and Joseph were his family. It was now up to Charles how he would deal with them.

"I suspect this was done by someone you know..." Edward looked at him and sighed.

"I think so too. I'll deal with this. You just take care of yourself," Charles instructed.

"I will," Edward answered. He felt a bit better after getting his wounds disinfected.

"If you run a fever tonight, please let me know," Charles said with a worried face.

"I studied medicine before. Don't worry about me," Edward replied. He opened the medical kit, but couldn't replace any anti-inflammatory medication.

"If you need medicine, let me know. I'll buy it for you right now," Charles offered.

"I'll be fine." Edward shrugged. "It's too late. You should take a shower and go to bed."

They were in the suburbs and there were no pharmacies nearby. How could Edward ask Charles to buy medicine for him?

"Just call me if you need anything," Charles reminded him again.

"I will." Edward raised his eyebrows at Charles, surprised by his concern.

Charles went upstairs and took a shower.

Nancy was leaning against the headboard as she read her book. Putting the book down, she suddenly asked, "How's Edward doing? Are his wounds serious?" "He isn't badly hurt; he will recover soon," Charles reassured her. He didn't want Nancy to worry.

"Charles..." Nancy protested. Nancy leaned against Charles' arms, feeling devastated. "I think your uncle and Joseph did it. We have to do something about this

Charles stroked Nancy's hair gently. "Don't worry, I know how to handle this. They were targeting the TS Group. I won't let them get away with this."

"You have to be careful. There are two of them, but you're just one person," Nancy said. Responsibility for the TS Group fell solely on Charles' shoulders. Angelina had previously offered to help him with the business, but she had no experience in running a business. The only thing she knew how to do was scheme against women! As for Hardy, he was no match for Derrick.
