Chapter 396 Trouble

Jay had expected that once at home Doris would not dare be disobedient anymore.

But to his surprise the next morning Jay woke up to replace that Doris was missing.

How could Doris disappear from right under his nose?

Last night they fell asleep together. Everything seemed normal. Then why did Doris decide to go away?

She indeed was a shameless woman!

"Hey, where is Doris?" Jay shouted at the servant nearby.

"She...urn.. Sorry sir, but I did not see her today!" The servant was scared out of her wits. So in a state of nervousness she said whatever came to her mind.

"What do you mean by you did not see her? How is that possible?" Jay almost growled in anger. His veins popped out from the forehead.

Doris definitely did it to enrage Jay. How come she kept on escaping again and again?

"Mr. Fang please believe us, we have no idea at all!" The servants were almost on the verge of tears out of fear.

Jay immediately took his phone out and dialed Doris's number. It rang to his relief.

But she did not answer it. This made Jay all the more restless.

"You defiant woman what the hell do you think you are doing? Why are you doing this to me?" Jay could hardly speak anymore, but he still called Doris once more only to replace that her phone was switched off. Suddenly Jay could no longer control his rage. He tightened his fist and the knuckles turned pale. "Doris how dare you insult me like this? How could you?"

"Should we tell Mr. Fang the truth?" A servant threw the question at his compatriots in secret.

Early in the morning they heard noise in the yard.

When they ran over to check they caught a glimpse of Doris getting in a car.

But they could not manage to identify the man driving it as he was not seen through the glass.

"No we can't do that. Mrs. Fang is a good person. Also, have you thought what Mr. Fang will do to us when he hears that we saw her leaving but did nothing to stop her? He will punish us severely. It is better to suck up the truth!"

So the servants just kept silent.

It was Felix who had picked her up because his mother wanted to see Doris.

Doris could think of no one other than Felix and his mother as the people closest to her. Thus when she was summoned by her Doris did not think twice before risking to face Jay's wrath.

Jay on the other hand was really crestfallen. He simply failed to decode Doris's mind even after trying so hard.

Saddened by the fact he locked himself in the study for the whole day.

Till night he remained there.

At night he finally came out with a dark face and immediately drove off to the bar to take his mind of the incident and indulge in women.

"Mr. Fang, today... You do not look so good today!" A woman teased him playfully.

"Yes so you better watch out. You do not want to anger Mr. Fang today!" Another woman quietly poured a glass of red wine for him. Grabbing the glass and downing its content at one go Jay exclaimed, "Let us enjoy to the fullest today!"

"Oh wow! I almost forgot it is Mr. Fang's birthday today!" a woman suddenly said excitedly.

Jay was a regular customer in the bar so the women knew him very well.

"A very happy birthday to you Mr. Fang!"

"Happy birthday, Mr. Fang!" "Many many happy returns!"

Came pouring all the wishes as all the women raised their glasses at the same time.

Jay noticed a beautiful woman in cheongsam. "You there, come have a drink with me."

The woman in her traditional attire looked dignified, well-cultured and elegant. Jay could not remember seeing her before in the bar.

Jay was instantly attracted towards her like a magnet.

"Oh I am honored Mr. Fang! Look at you, so charming. I was totally lost in your handsomeness," the woman replied flattering Jay in order to hide the panic that rattled her from within. She sat down beside him and asked, "So, Mr. Fang are you staunchly a red wine drinker?"

"Give me some Remy Martin." Jay drank it all in the wink of an eye and placed his goblet back on the table with a thud.

"Oh..." The woman was taken aback by Jay's speed. After all Remy Martin was strong wine.

"What? You can't?" he questioned with understandable displeasure in his voice.

"Oh no Mr. Fang, it is very good. I absolutely love drinking such strong wine." The woman leaned closer to Jay as she smiled and whispered in his ear, "Let me propose a toast to you!"

Jay held her tight in his arms and drank heavily.

For a depressed man like Jay it was fairly easy to get drunk. Jay's eyes were bloodshot. He suddenly crushed his goblet and took the woman outside.

All the other woman became alarmed. They together tried to stop them, "Mr. Fang where are you going?"

Jay shoved all of them on the side and hissed, "It's... It's none of your business."

The women knew there was nothing they could do about it so they all shut down.

Jay climbed downstairs from the second floor with the woman in cheongsam firmly in his grasp. As soon as he reached the corridor in the first floor there he came face to face with Doris's damned face. Doris looked extremely happy today. Felix had gifted her a beautiful time. They had been to different places and finally decided to hit the same bar as Jay's.

Maybe because of the wine Felix grabbed Doris's hand enthusiastically and placed it on his racing heart. He looked at her and with a forlorn look on his face said, "Doris, always remember that you are the woman of my life and I love you very much. No one can every replace you. But you must give me time, okay?"

Doris had been craving for this very moment for a very long time but when she was actually in it all she could feel was fear and panic.

All Doris could think of in this beautiful moment was the things she had done with Jay.

"Felix, tell this to me honestly, if other men criticized and bullied me, would you still feel the same for me? Now that I am pregnant you know. You.... Do you get me?"

Doris twisted the hem of her clothes nervously and looked at Felix guiltily hoping he would not hurt her.

Felix lovingly removed all the hair strands from her face and tucked them carefully behind her ears. He then said, "You silly woman, I just told you, what you mean to me. If anything I want you in my life forever. I don't care what happened to you in the past, and that includes the pregnancy. You get it?"

This made Doris giddy from happiness because Felix's gentleness was completely unexpected to her. Doris was the happiest person on earth at the moment.

She found it hard to believe that all this was real.

Felix placed a small peck one her cheek. As he moved forward, Doris stopped him and said, "I really need to go to the washroom."

If Doris had the slightest idea that she would be faced with Jay in the corridor she would not have walked out of the room even if she peed in her pants and embarrassed herself.

However, the moment she noticed how Jay was fuming, she knew she was in for a lot of trouble.

Doris tried to escape from there by lowering her head.

But it was too late as Jay had already grabbed her arm and sneered, "Doris so you have been enjoying yourself it seems? Who is with you?"

"Well well Mr. Fang look at that beauty wrapped in your arms. Ooo look at those white long legs. I feel like touching them. I too am attracted. It is evident that you are very good at playing!" Doris mocked. It was exactly what Doris was capable of. She could quickly arm herself to fight Jay.

What she really meant was: "Jay, I am happy you are having your share of fun! Just don't bother me please!"
