Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 405 By All Means

"Of course I'm stupid. If you regret being with, you can still make another choice," said Nancy as her breathing intensified. She was coming off quite pretentious.

Charles chuckled and said, "I like your silliness."

Nancy turned over with her back facing Charles.

Charles reached out and held her in his arms. "He loves you."

Nancy trembled at his touch, lying silently.

"You know that, right?"

"Yes."

"So, why didn't you choose him?" This was what Charles really wanted to know.

Edward was an outstanding guy, even Charles could admit that.

So why on Earth did Nancy reject him over and over again?

Nancy still didn't say anything.

"Why are you so quiet?" Charles knew why, but he just wanted Nancy to admit to it.

He raised his hand to touch the back of her neck and pulled her hair.

Finally, Nancy had enough. "I'm a woman with a child. What qualifications do I have to talk about love?"

This was the truth. Although Charles knew it, he was still a little taken aback. "Why do you think so little of yourself?" "Why not?"

"You are a strong woman," said Charles.

"Strong women just put on a brave face. If they had someone to rely on, they would as much as possible," said Nancy, defeated.

Charles held her tighter, "You can always rely on me, okay?"

Nancy smiled uncontrollably from ear to ear.

Charles was seldom that sweet with her. It came across so awkwardly.

He was probably so annoyed with Edward that he forgot how he usually behaved.

Whatever it was, Nancy loved it.

She leaned her head on Charles's shoulder and asked, "Are you jealous? I think you are jealous of Edward."

"Nonsense! You are mine and the mother of my two children. Why should I be jealous of him? It makes no sense." What a strong man Charles was! It seemed like he had no weaknesses. "Yes, Mommy of two children," murmured Nancy.

She had never said that, except in front of Frederic.

Charles' heart pumped. These simple words were like love itself. He had never felt so content.

"Honey, don't worry. I'm going to be here for you and the children no matter what."

As the night grew darker, Nancy cuddled Charles tighter.

That night, the two of them fell asleep absurdly late. The next morning when Edward prepared breakfast, they weren't anywhere to be seen.

Bobby and Nadia still made their appearances as usual though.

"Uncle Edward, I saw Daddy's car in the yard. Did he come back last night?" Every day after getting up, Bobby liked to play in the garden and he must have seen his father's car. "Yes," Edward said as he continued making breakfast.

"Why aren't they down for breakfast yet?" Nadia asked curiously.

"They're probably still tired. They went to bed really late. "Edward frowned.

Last night...

Did Nancy and Charles...

The more Edward thought about this, the more bitter he felt.

"I'll wake them up," Nadia said before running off.

Edward grabbed her and picked her up saying, "Don't go."

"Why? Uncle Edward, put me down," Nadia said, kicking her legs to break free.

"Didn't I tell you that your Daddy and Mommy went to bed very late last night and they were very tired from work? They will come downstairs later. Just wait, okay?" Edward explained patiently. "Okay, Uncle Edward. You can put me down now. I won't bother them," Nadia said.

Edward took Nadia to her seat and said, "Let me help you."

Nadia sat obediently, letting Edward help her put her shoes back on. They slipped off when he yanked her off the ground to pick her up.

After helping Nadia, Edward went to the bathroom to wash his hands.

He left his phone lying on the table.

Nadia picked it up and started clicking away inquisitively.

"Bobby, look at this. What is it?" Nadia pointed at the phone screen with her little hand and said, "Derrick looks badly hurt. It looks like Uncle Hiram did that to him! Why?" Bobby was drinking milk at the table.

When he heard what Nadia said, he opened his eyes wide in surprise. "Nadia, let me have a look. Hurry up."

"1

Nadia handed the phone to Bobby quickly.

Bobby looked at it and seemed to be instantly appalled.

He ran upstairs with the phone.

"Daddy, something's wrong. Hurry up. Something is wrong with Uncle Hiram."

Nancy heard Bobby's shouting and the approaching footsteps. She pushed Charles away in a hurry and said, "Charles, put on your pajamas. Bobby is coming upstairs." Charles was in a daze. "Nancy, I'm tired. Let me sleep a little longer,"

he mumbled and held her in his arms again.

Nancy ducked out the way and sat up.

The door suddenly flew open with a bang. Bobby ran in with the phone in his hand.

"Daddy, Mommy, something happened to Uncle Hiram," Bobby said, trying to catch his breath.

Charles didn't think much of what Bobby was saying and went back to sleep.

"What happened?" Nancy also didn't understand. Although Hiram constantly followed Charles, he kept a low profile. He never did anything just because of Charles' influence and power. He had a good character and was composed whenever he did anything.

Why would such a good person do this?

"Mommy, Mommy, look, there is so much blood." Bobby put the phone in Nancy's hand.

Nancy was horrified and what she saw on the phone.

It was a car accident involving two luxury cars. Hiram stood aside, next to some traffic officers.

According to the news though, Derrick was still in the car!

Chills swept over her body. Nancy shoved Charles with her hand and said, "Charles, wake up quickly. Derrick had a car accident."

Charles suddenly opened his eyes, his drowsiness completely erased.

"Derrick was in a car accident?

Didn't he have a driver?" Charles asked.

"He and the driver were trapped in the car and nobody knows if they're alive. It could be Hiram's fault. Look."

Charles grabbed the phone and narrowed his eyes like an eagle.

"Derrick, you did everything you could to get the TS Group."

It was obvious. Charles gave the video of Anna and Derrick's collusion to grandpa yesterday. Now, all of a sudden he had an accident.

Was this a blatant retaliation?

How could he hide this from grandpa?

After all, Frederic was always quite clever.

"What should we do?" Nancy asked in panic.

"Don't panic. I think Derrick will survive," Charles said confidently.
