“Get out,” Adrian satd-
Farrah smiled at him again before flouncing out happily. She was in such a good mood after her shopping
spree!
Adrian sighed, the image of her twirling before him flashing in his mind. He leaned back and shut his eyes, unable to stop himself from thinking about Sierra again,
Her and Farrah’s faces overlapped in his mind, adding to his irritation.
Adrian and Farrah left the apartment at around 4:00 pm. Farrah’s attitude was completely different from how she’d been earlier. She was silent and stolc, no longer teasing him about Germaine.
She was starting to feel stressed as she wondered what Adrian’s mother, Sheila White, was like. Then, she thought about Adrian telling her not to bother pleasing Sheila because Sheila wouldn’t like her either
way.
Farrah was truly stressed. She felt like a peasant who was about to have an audience with the ruler of the land. As they headed toward Locke Manor, she fell deep into her thoughts.
Adrian didn’t have any tips for her. He himself felt gloomy and grim–it was easy to tell from the slight furrow of his brows.
