Chapter 35 She Doesn’t Want to See Adrian

Corey was Adrian’s special assistant, and many departments needed to go through him to get to Adrian. The design department was no exception.

Natasha’s attitude changed completely when she heard from Corey that Farrah was his good friend and that he hoped Natasha would watch out for her. She said, “Of course! Don’t worry, Mr. Moore. I’ll definitely watch out for her!”

Farrah was almost done with her work when Corey came out. “Did you talk to her?”

He patted her on the shoulder and said, “Yeah, so you don’t have to worry about her bothering you with these things anymore. Focus on your designs and try your best to become a designer as soon as possible!

“Let’s hope you’re right. Thanks!” Farrah was happy. “Oh, right. How’s your arm?

“It’s no big deal.” Corey smiled gently. He didn’t want to leave; even getting another glance at her made him feel happy. “Also, I don’t want a verbal thank–you. It’s not worth anything.”

“Huh?” After a beat, Farrah realized what he meant and laughed. “How about I treat you to a meal, then? I should thank you properly for helping me last time.”

“Sure.” He wouldn’t let any chance to be alone with her get away. “How about tonight?”

“I don’t think I have time tonight. How does tomorrow night sound?”

“Sure. Anyway, you should focus on your work. Just don’t forget about me.

“Don’t worry, I won’t.” She didn’t want to owe him any favors.

Corey waved at her. “So… Goodbye, I guess.”

He was reluctant to leave her and couldn’t take his gaze off her.

“Yep. Get back to work, Mr. Moore!” Farrah watched him leave before bringing the photocopied

documents to Natasha’s office. “I’m done making copies, Ms. Gray.”

“Oh, Farrah. Are you and Mr. Moore friends?” Natasha’s tone was much more amicable than before. It was as if she’d come across a treasure.

Yes, we are.”

Natasha was happy to hear that. “Mr. Locke is strict when it comes to reviewing things. You know it’s perfectly normal for designers to consume more materials, right? When we request more than usual, Mr.

we can’t purchase the materials. So…” Locke tends not to approve the requests. When that happens.

“Ms. Gray.” Farrah understood what she meant. “Mr. Locke is still the one who approves the requests, though. Mr. Moore can’t do it on his behalf.”

“But Mr. Moore has a good relationship with Mr. Locke! As long as you speak to him, he’ll think of a way to help you, won’t he? Natasha was observant enough to tell Corey had feelings for Farrah.

She continued, “Whatever it is, I’ll leave getting requests approved and sending documents to the CEO’s office in your hands from now on!”

“Wait, Ms. Gray…” Farrah frowned. “Maybe you should just let me continue photocopying things.”

She didn’t want to see Adrian! Their jobs had nothing to do with each other; she didn’t want to seem like she was trying to get close to him!

Natasha beamed. “No, no. I won’t trouble you with something as menial as photocopying anymore. You can go now, shut the door when you leave.”

“So… Does that mean I can participate in designing now?” Farrah asked. “Can you treat me fairly?”

“Sure!”

“Fine, then.” Farrah nodded. From today onward, she would start searching for herbs to help treat Adrian’s scar. Instead of winning Corey over, It’d be better to win Adrian over, wouldn’t it?

They lived under the same roof. Wouldn’t that just make things easier for her?

Farrah now had the rest of the afternoon to herself. She started researching the “Enduring Moments” line instead of throwing herself into designing. She started by trying to understand the reason for its name. When it was time to get off work, Farrah took the bus to Fairytale Cottage. Meanwhile, Adrian packed his things and prepared to leave. He, too, wanted to head to Fairytale Cottage.

He wanted to see what was so special about it and Sweet Sun. Then, he would order one to be delivered to Mark’s hotel when the latter arrived in Ronson City.
