Talented Martial Hero -
Chapter 1560 Return To Peace
It had bought enough time for Darren.
The blood coffin had been opened and countless runes swirled and wrapped Darren and the RuleSoul Avatar at the same time.
It wasn't long before they were both sucked in.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The chief gods' spiritual senses broke through the resistance of the supreme gods’ power, shootingdown and striking the coffin. Unfortunately, the coffin was unfazed except for some slightshuddering.
Roars of rage filled the entire universe. The eight chief gods had completely lost their chance toobliterate the human race. They now turned their attention to attacking the Killing Chief God.
All the human ascetic cultivators’ minds went blank. They couldn't believe it.
“Have we actually gotten through this disaster?"
This was so surreal. It felt almost more unreal than a dream. Had the suppression from the chiefgods’ spiritual senses really been eliminated just like that?
The cracking space gradually recovered and all the pressure pushing down faded.
As it was now impossible to wipe the human race out, the chief gods were not interested in killingthe ascetic cultivators. Their focus was now set on fighting for the remnant Chief God Character. Itwas to be expected that they'd ignore the humans that were still left.
A while later, Heath was the first to move and fly towards Shipley.
Two figures of absolute power like no other, stood beside him. It was Alfredo and Braxton!
"Good to see you..."
Even Heath was a little nervous to be in the presence of the two legendary supreme gods.
"Heath, these are only the spiritual senses left behind by the two supreme gods. They don't possesssouls,"
Shipley explained right away, noticing Heath's unease.
Heath had already considered this. He knew it was impossible for them to still be alive, and yet, hecould not help but be a little disappointed at Shipley's revelation.
"Ah, yes of course," he said slightly embarrassed. Heath let out a faint sigh, turned to Shipley andasked, "Shipley, will Darren be safe and sound in the blood coffin?"
"He may not be, but at least the spiritual senses of the chief gods won't be able to replace him again.”He did not know exactly what was in the blood coffin and so could not be sure if Darren wouldsurvive it.
"What the hell is the Archean blood coffin anyway? I mean, even the chief gods gave up onattacking it with their spiritual senses! It must be something extraordinary,” Heath asked as hemarveled at it.
"It's not actually that the blood coffin is stronger than the chief gods’ spiritual senses, it's justbecause the blood coffin does not belong in this era. It's immune to the attacks of laws developedin later eras; that's why the chief gods were so unsuccessful.
However, the thing exists in the blood coffin is undoubtedly very powerful. No less powerful than asupreme god of our human race, at the least,” Shipley explained.
"I see," Heath responded, nodding ponderously.
"Did Xavier see the outcome in the River of Destiny?" Heath added after a moment ofcontemplation.
"Yes, it was actually quite the coincidence. Darren brought the Purple-crystal King here by accident, which created a new branch about Darren's fate in the River of Destiny. By following this branch,Xavier found out the solution from the Purple-crystal King. The appearance of this relic is veryimportant as well. If it weren't for the Archean blood coffin in this relic, we wouldn't have been ableto make it through this miserable disaster that befell us," Shipley replied.
"That's Darren's luck I suppose, and the luck of our human race,” sighed Heath. If it were not for somany coincidences, the entire race would have already been annihilated.
"Strictly speaking, it's not all just mere luck,” Shipley spoke out.
"What do you mean?”
"It is fate," Shipley answered, raising his head to look up at the dark void. Only at his level could oneunderstand the so-called "fate."
Everything that happened was part of a perfect design. The higher one’s level was, the more hewould feel this and understand it.
Soon, all the human ascetic cultivators flew over and surrounded Shipley.
"Sir, we should head back quickly. Our human land is still under siege from the other races!"
It was much easier for the alien races to detect the human land than it was for the chief gods to doso. That was why the other races had already arrived and attacked the humans.
Shipley shook his head solemnly and said, "Me going back will only bring devastation to the humanrace. Once the battle for the remnant Chief God Character is over, it will then be time for the chiefgods to come kill me. They've already targeted me, I will not be able to hide if I return to the humanland."
There was nothing he could do about it. The only place he could truly hide himself was the KillingChief God's hometown. He would never dare step into the human land again and draw the attentionthere.
The ascetic cultivators fell into a gloomy silence. Shipley had been hiding alone, all this time, inorder not to bring tragedy to the human race. This was an admirable deed the same as fightingback.
"Take care, sir!" the ascetic cultivators called out. They could not stay any longer.
They needed to return to the human land as soon as possible. Only after they repelled the attacks ofthe other races could they replace another place to hide themselves.
"I wonder how the ancestor is doing now," Heath murmured to himself. "Everyone, follow me backand let's kill those damn intruders!"
"Take care, Supreme God Shipley!"
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
A group of ascetic cultivators, led by Heath, swiftly took off and left the abyss.
Shipley sighed as he watched them go. He turned to Lord Feng and Lord Starry Sword, who hadstayed behind, and said, "When you two return, I hope you do not plan on going to the cemetery ofthe supreme gods.”
They were surprised by such a remark. They had decided, originally, that once the human race hadsettled down and was in peace, they would make their way to the cemetery of the supreme gods tocultivate hard and look for the opportunity to break through to the Supreme God Realm.
But now, they had been told not to go, by Shipley, a supreme god himself. Why would he say this?"If you cultivate in the cemetery, you will be affected in some way by the supreme gods that hadbeen buried there. You two are talented and have your own unique path to follow. My hope for youis that you not only become supreme gods, but go beyond that as well,” Shipley explained sincerely.Lord Feng and Lord Starry Sword stood in silence for a moment before nodding together. "Thankyou for your guidance, sir."
"I need to hide myself or I'll definitely be killed when the fight among the chief gods is over.
Now, I advise you to wait here for Darren. He could come out at any time. Can you wait until he'sback and leave here with him?" asked Shipley.
"Yes, sir, we can," they replied with cupped hands. Shipley nodded back silently in reply.
His figure gradually turned transparent and faded away, totally disappearing. No one knew wherehe was hiding.
The spiritual senses of Alfredo and Braxton turned into white light and dissipated as their power wasexhausted.
Only Lord Starry Sword, Lord Feng and the blood coffin were left in the dark relic.
They moved closer to the blood coffin, awaiting Darren's return.
Darren had already gone through the tribulations for the Conflicting Cultivation. When he came out, there would be no thunder punishment anymore. So, it would be difficult for the chief gods to breakthrough the mysterious laws in this world and locate Darren.
The two of them waited patiently, in silence, for a few days. The coffin was abnormally quiet andstill, not showing any signs of Darren returning.
"Let me have a look at this," Lord Feng said finally.
He activated his spiritual sense and it covered the blood coffin.
"What's this?"
He probed around and the expression on his face twisted slightly.
"It's devoured my spiritual sense. How did it do that?"
Lord Starry Sword turned his head to it now, and two rays of light shot out from his black and whitesword eyes towards the blood coffin.
When the light touched the coffin, it began quivering slightly, accompanied by the emergence ofblood red runes.
