Chapter 3

Verse 2- A Short Tale on the Mysterious town Hidden inthe Mist

Deep across theLand of Atriabnna towards the north where the cold climates settled themselves,there stood a mysterious little town known as GhoulsVille. Now the town wasvery mysterious indeed all the streets were forever silent and the residentsnever left their homes and it felt as if sadness was forever in the air day andnight. So one day the local mayor of the town a pompous man named GordonAlvin-Stroopsberry called for a town meeting for all the locals in the nearbycathedral, he declared that the mysterious events that had been occurring recentlywhere all down to the government who were trying to scare them into giving uptheir land. The locals didn’t believe him though and as they all muttered andchatted amongst themselves one of the locals a fish monger stood up andquestioned the mayor, “ Mr. Mayor we have reason to believe that theunexplainable events and happenings are down to no other than…. Well how can Isay this…ahem DEMONS!” the entire hall suddenly erupted into gasps of panic,one by one they all begun to entertain the idea of Demons cursing their city, “Yes it must be true, we’ve angered the gods above with our idol worships andofferings, they shall surely smite us down”. “SILENCE! “Shouted the Mayor, “Nowlike I’ve told you before there are no such things as ‘DEMONS’, ‘GHOSTS’ or anyother supernatural fantasy nonsense , this is the work of that wretched queen….They’ve been trying to subdue us for years so what I suggest we do is stick togetherand….” Just before the Mayor could finish his sentence a white smog suddenly filledthe room from the ceiling. The town’s people fell silent as they watched awhite smog engulf the room, “ok let’s not panic now everyone it’s probably justthe weather” said the mayor unconvincingly, “b…behind you….. What’s that behindyou?” screeched one of the residents in the crowd, the mayor slowly turnedaround and saw the two statues that stood behind him suddenly moving. The crowdlooked on in horror as the statues of what looked like two ancient knights steppeddown from the pillar, their stone eyes filled with a purple light and theirstoned faced formed an angry expression,“ BY THE GODS…. IT’S THE DEMONS… IT’S TRUE WERE CURSED” the town’s peoplescreamed. Meanwhile during the panic, within the crowd a young boy clothed in adark cloak sat calmly in his seat observing. The possessed stoned knights drewtheir huge stone swords and begun attacking the crowd violently, they swung theirhuge swords crushing anything that came into their paths, “ everyone run… run Isay before they kill us all” hollered the Mayor. The whole town fled from thebuilding in haste and panic, they all fled accept for one person who remainedinside. The cloaked boy got up from his seat and proceeded to the back of thehall, he closed the two doors and locked them from the inside. “I finally foundyou, are you the demon they call Nessy” the boy spoke aloud when suddenly apair of violet colored eyes emerged within the smog, the beast within the smogbegun to cackle “Aye and if I am I suppose you’re going to try and stop mearen’t you little boy” the cloaked boy removed his hood, he then ruffled hisscruffy blonde hair and gazed towards the demon, the boy under the cloak was noother than Jyro Thomas the boy with the demon right arm. The boy removed hisgloves then flexed his demonic arm, a bluish flame suddenly begun burningaround his hand, “Wait a second that arm of yours…. Aye I see your that boy…the one who’s been going around killing my brothers, the one with the demonshand”, Jyro slowly walked towards the white smog “I’ll ask you again are youthe demon they call Nessy” he said, “ohhh so the rumors are true, well littleboy shall we play then” the deep ghastly voice of the demon suddenly ceased andthe violet eyes also. Moments later the two stoned statues charged towards theboy, they raised their two stoned swords simultaneously and thrust them towardsJyro. The boy dashed towards the side out of harms way and quickly scurried tohis feet and ran around the statues, he then moved closer to them till he stoodin-between both behemoths. One was in front of him and one was behind him, bothslowly closing in towards the boy ready to strike, they drew within his reachand again lifted up their swords but just before they attacked Jyro, he quicklyran towards the incoming one and rolled between his legs. The two statues swungaimlessly and struck one another, their bodies broke into pieces and slowlycollapsed to the ground turning into a stoned pile of a rubble. The white smogfilled the room once again and engulfed Jyro, “oh so your strong enough to dealwith my minions I see, well how about this then” the smog that filled the roomsuddenly became thicker, it got to the point where Jyros vision was rendereduseless. But Jyro didn’t panic, the boy simply went into his pocket and pulledout what seemed to be a small tubed object which resembled a torch, he raisedit above him and spoke “Ignis Erupit”, a bolt of lightning came charging out ofthe small object and broke through the ceiling above. Whilst the sky from abovebore down through the hole, the white smog slowly ascended and cleared theroom, Jyro looked around him then finally saw the demon that had been causingthe trouble, it was a long bodied purple snake liked creature, floating in theair. “What the….. How did you…” muttered the demon, “you shouldn’t be hereNessy, and I’m here to send you back to where you belong”, Jyro pointed theobject towards the demon and spoke, “ignis erupit”. The bolt of lightning cameout of the object and headed towards the creature, it quickly evaded the firststrike and continued doing so whilst flying around the room. “ Ha-ha just because you have a neat toythere doesn’t mean squat if you can’t hit your target” mocked the demon, Jyroglanced towards it then sighed to himself, “ Fulminis Pulsus” he said, butinstead of a bolt of lightning a shock wave resonated out of the object andthrough the beast out the open ceiling. Jyro watched from above as the beastspiraled high into the air then came orbiting down wrapped in electrical sparksfrom the attack, the boy put away his weapon then strolled towards the door.BANG! The sound from the demon falling through the ceiling onto the floor, Jyroglanced back at the fallen demon “Your fate is sealed Nessy now return to whereyou belong” the demons body started to decay and rust, “you fool you think itends here, you’ll never stop it you know none of you can stop the rise of thedemon king it cannot be stopped…. MARK MY WORDS” it said before turning into apile of dust.

Jyro put on hisgloves then proceeded out of the building, When he made it to the outside helooked at the darkened sky above and gazed at the moon that shone down ontohim. Jyro made his way to a nearby inn that sat on the outskirts of the town,as he entered the place he immediately was halted by the keeper at the frontdesk, “er excuse me sir, I have a parcel for you “ the women at the front desksaid, Jyro took the parcel and opened it. Inside he found a gold metallicmedallion with a note from jack also, the note read…. “If your reading thisthen it means you’ve probably defeated the list of Lesser Demons that I gave toyou… so well done I guess, anyway I’ll be going away for a while don’t try tolook for me trust me you’ll get nowhere, it’s been a good year spending timewith you….. I’m getting bored of writing this soppy stuff so just read theinstructions below, I’ve left you instructions on what to do. Good luck JyroThomas take care of yourself.
