Chapter 8

Verse 7 –First lesson & the black book

It was a newmorning and Jyro somehow found himself back inside headmaster Kobis officeagain unsurprisingly enough his office looked messier than before, “you calledfor me sir?” said Jyro as he walked inside the room, the headmaster was busy rummagingthrough the stack of papers that piled atop of his desk and the whole scenariobecame a de ja vu to Jyro as he waited patiently for the headmaster to noticehim, “here it is” he said waving a sheet of paper in the air “here you go Mr.Thomas take this at once” spoke the headmaster, Jyro received the sheet ofpaper which consisted of the timetable for his lessons throughout the year.Jyro hadn’t a clue on what was written in front of his eyes as he scanned thepaper intently, all he knew was that he had five different subjects:Earthology, History, Celestial Arts, Demonology and Grimoire reading. The timewas 8.55 and his first lesson started at 9:00, so he had 5 minutes to somehowdecipher the code in front of him to where is next lesson is located, “Jyro!Over hereeee” an over jubilant voice voiced, the sounds of a familiar voicesent cheer flowing through Jyros soul as he now had someone to assist him, Jyroturned around to see his friend Johnny carrying a large stack of books runningtowards him, “where you off to this morning then” said Johnny “ ermm I actuallyhave no clue to be honest with you I was hoping you’d be able to help me onthat” Jyro responded whilst he looked at his timetable clueless, “ seriouslymate you haven’t figured out your timetable yet well luckily for you I’m here,let me see that” said Johnny as he quickly scanned through the paper “ wellwere in the same classes all day today so that’s lucky for you and for the restof the week it looks like err yeah it looks like your lessons are all locatedin the upper halls” he added, Jyro stared blankly at his friend wondering whathe was going on about, “ jheese I’ll take you by the classes later on today,I’ve already memorized the structure outline of the school so I’m familiar withwhere everything is” Johnny explained “wow…that’samazing you actually memorized it all with only been here for a day” marveled Jyroas Johnny grinned his teeth in boastfully. Room 7B1, Jyros first lesson at the academy, The two boys rushed insidethe classroom and just about made it at 9:02 the rest of the students hadalready been seated and the only seats left where at the back, which wasperfect for the two who slowly tried to creep to the back seats “Nice of youboys to join us…. You’re late!” announced the teacher the entire classroom thenabruptly turned to face the two late comers, Tristine was one of them whositting in the front row shaking her head in disappointment at the sight of thelate comers, “is she for real” whispered Johnny “we were like 4 minutes late”he added.

“Now shall webegin then Welcome to Celestial Arts my name is Professor Luna Harnoor Dhanoaand I’ll be your teacher for this term”, Jyro momentarily was stuck in a tranceas he gazed and analyzed his teacher from her dark silky hair that drooped downto her waist to her sand colored skin which gleamed like a goddesses, thistrance lasted for quite some time as every word she spoke felt like it wasbeing received in slow motion. “ Virtus dei Est is the power bestowed onto usby god himself to use our souls energy as power, today will be exploring onwhat influences the amount of power your born with and how we draw out this powerfrom our soul,” she said, the professorthen opened her palms and showed the class a small seed that lay inside, sheshowed it to the class then closed her eyes and spoke “cresce” the seed thenstarted to germinate from her palms and in a matter of seconds it formed into atall plant that sprouted a sunflower, the students were in awe as they all wowedat the spectacle, she then placed the tall plant on one of the students desk, “overthe years we’ve learnt the trigger for the souls power is in our tongue, thewords we use manifest into power thatflows in our hearts, so let’s all take hold on the seed and channel our soulinto it and speak the words ‘Cresce’, remember your soul controls your power soyour emotions must be like that of the flower, patient and gentle” theprofessor explained meanwhile Jyro was still stuck in his trance digestingeverything the professor said he even blocked out Johnnys attempts at trying todistract him. The teacher began handing out the seeds to each pupil, “andremember the stage of growth the pant takes depends on your VDE amount so don’tbe down hearted if you don’t see the sunflower”, the pupils upon receivingtheir seed then began the test as they all one by one shouted “Cresce”, some ofseeds germinated to a good height even sprouting a flower whilst somegerminated for a few moments then died immediately, Johnny took hold of hisseed “you can do it mate just focus”Jyro said trying to encourage Johnny, he took a last gasp of breath , “Cresce!” shouted Johnny and with his shouta yellow glow shone from his hand, Johnny smiled in excitement at Jyro thinkingto himself he had done it , seconds later the light quickly ceased and the seedturned black and burned into dust “pffffft haha well done Albertsonn that pieceof dust in your hand matches your skill level perfectly” blurted a pale haired youngman who was watching “ Why don’t you shut up and mind your own business” Jyrosaid to the boy who then quickly rose up from his chair for a confrontation , “don’t even think about it Valko” said the professor whilst she stared down atthe boy“ don’t make me repeat myself take your seat immediately Mr. Tius” sheadded, the rather reluctantly sat back in his seat scowling at Jyro “ thisisn’t over ” he muttered whilst Jyro to scowled back at him. “Thanks for having my back but you shouldn’ttake notice of him he’s always like that, his is name Valko Tius” said Johnny“Tius?” Jyro abruptly repeated “ yeah you heard right their family are said tobe the direct descendants of the great hero-go Tius, his dads also part of thequeens council so he thinks he rules everything ” said Johnny angrily “ he’sabit of an idiot though aint he” Jyro remarked “ haha yeah he sure is” Johnnyreplied. As Johnny joked around with hisfriend he peered down at his arm and noticed it was heavily bandaged “whoa Jyrohow did that happen?” Johnny asked, whilst Jyro startled by his question triedto think of a lie on the spot “err…I… I had an accident a while back burnt myarm all over” he worryingly answered. “shhhh you boys are here to work not playso I suggest you start taking this seriously ,and you with the blonde hair youhaven’t done the seed test yet… go on then” said professor Dhanoa , Jyro nervouslytook a hold of his seed as the whole class fell silent and stared at him inanticipation “Cresce!” spoke Jyro, the seed in his hand started to slowly shakearound , a stem quickly shot out of the seed and the stem grew taller and taller till it bent downwards afterreaching the ceiling “What the hell” gaspedJohnny, as the whole room of students stared in shock at the growth of Jyrosseed, the professor stood in shock as she too was simply marveling at the scene.“ someone help me stop this” Jyro screeched, The pupils began to move back asthe plants growth continued to stretch. The bud of the plant started sproutingopen but instead of the sunflower it formed a plant with teeth that snapped andgnarled at the students, they all screamed in panic as the jaws from the flowerbore down over them, the professor quickly grabbed hold of one of the coloredbottles that sat on her desk, she through it against the plant and itimmediately burned up into black ashes. The dust settled and the classroom wasfilled with silence, Jyro stood dumbfounded whilst his classmates gawked at himin horror, the professor rushed towards him and grabbed his arm she placed hertwo fingers on his wrist and asked him “How did you do that!....that reactionI’ve never seen anything like it I mean only an A class should be able to…,tellme boy what was your VDE reading when you entered this school” the professorasked intently, Jyro looked at her in bewilderment and said “ around erm,around 100 I think professor” “ he’s lying “ blurted Valko” Keep quiet!” snapped the professor, Valkoimmediately kept his mouth shut, she stared at Jyro for a few moments and judgingby the sincerity in his eyes she knew he was telling the truth, ProfessorDhanoa smiled then let go of his wrist “ hmm it seems like we have our very ownamong us class ” said the professor , the classroom filled with murmurs whilethe students slowly approached their seats cautiously observing Jyro, “ mate…what in the world was that” Johnny voiced, Jyro couldn’t think up an answer andshrugged his shoulders and nervously went back to his seat.

The lunch breakhad arrived and the students where either eating in the lunch hall or in thevineyard gardens outside, but sitting by-himself somewhere on the second floorwas Jyro, staring aimlessly at an oil painting hung in front of him, it was ofa named Lady Diana Griffiths one of the founders of the academy, Jyro had losttrack of time and probably couldn’t even remember how long he’s been sittingthere for. But his alone time wouldn’t last very long as he started to hearnoises coming from down the halls and not too long afterwards Tristine came rushingout of the library located down the hall arguing with a teacher, “well youcan’t blame me for asking now can you this is a library after all and one wouldexpect out of the trillions of pointless books you have you’d have a decent oneon celestial laws” stated Tristine to the lady, who mind you did not lookimpressed with the young ladies choice of words and threatened to have her reported.Tristine spotted Jyro standing aloofly on his own and quickly approached him, “Hey Jyro how’severything going” the young girl asked, she then looked at Jyro face andrealized something was troubling his mind “ something the matter” she asked,she then sat next to him and gazed at the oil picture he was looking at “ifit’s about this morning I wouldn’t worry about it too much sometimes thingshappened which we don’t know how to explain but you shouldn’t try to dwell onthings you don’t know the answer to, but it kind of sucks though when yousuddenly become talk of the class right and I can tell you’re the type whodoesn’t like extra attention” the girl added whilst she looked at Jyro andgiggled,” yeah, I guess your right” replied Jyro whilst nervously rubbingthrough his hair and smirking. “Good,Well I’m glad that’s cheered you up a bitbecause I need your help, follow me”, as the two kids made their way down thehall Jyro waited nervously to hear what Tristine wanted help with this timeconsidering last time they all ended up being chased by goblins, “ there’s thisparticular book I need to replace but I’ve been searching for about 2 hours alreadyand no luck and that weak excuse of a librarian seems to not understand me so Ineed you to help me replace it, you’ll help me yes?” asked Tristine, “ 2 hours” ?Jyro thought to himself which must have meant she skipped lessons just to lookfor a book, but nevertheless Jyro kept his mouth quiet as he knew Tristine wouldhave an excuse for it anyway and agreed to help her.

They entered thelibrary whilst Tristine quickly dragged Jyro behind one of the book shelves inan attempt to hide from the librarian, as they crouched down behind the shelvesTristine began whispering to Jyro on the plan to replace the book, “ alright now listenup, the book is called ‘Genesis’ written by Merlin Albert, it’s a rare book butmy sources told me it’s in this library somewhere we just got to replace it , soyou go look over there and I’ll stay here and avoid that witch…. What you waitingfor go go go” she said. Jyro searched shelve by shelve from “Alligatorshistories oldest animal’ down to “Zodiacs the hidden artifacts’ but no Genesisfrom Merlin Albert , he begun to lose patience and after hopeless results hisattention started to wonder and he ended up walking around the libraryaimlessly, there was countless booksthat lay on shelves that towered high and stretched along just as wide, it wasthe first time he saw so many books in one place and when he picked up a randomone and flicked through it the English used was very confusing to him, hethought to himself that Mrs. Thomas would have loved to read one of these booksand remembered how fortunate he is to be in this school right now. The searchcontinued and it had now been almost 30 minutes since he left Tristine andbegun wondering off, “maybe she had already found the book” he thought tohimself , which came to his disappointment when moments later he heard hervoice arguing again with someone aloud , Jyro decided to make his way back withthe bad news when his eyes fixed onto a big black book that lay on the shelvein front of him, the book immediately stood out from the rest ,it had no titleor writing on the front and its coverings was in very weird leather, quitefancy for a book he thought to himself, he flicked through to the first page andit read “Genesis’ “EUREKA!” he said to himself he found somehow found the book.

Jyro felt a senseof relief at replaceing the book and carried on skimming through it a bit morecurious to see what was in it, the books few pages consisted of diagrams and picturesof materials and parts and as he continued going further through the book theparts and materials were all for a mirror, the mirror was tall in height butnot very wide and it had an ornament fixed at the top of what looked like adragons head, Jyro upon realizing Tristine was probably waiting for him outsidequickly closed the book and hurried away to meet her.

“Found it” Jyrosaid whilst coming out of the library bearing the book in his underarm, “wow I knewan extra person would help Thanks again Jyro” said Tristine trying to fit theheavy sized book into her bag, “why were you so eager to get this book anyway Trish?”Asked Jyro “ha-ha no eagerness Jyro just curiosity really, anyway I’d love to stayand chat but I’ve got something I need to do will meet up later ok ” saidTristine before quickly darting off away , Jyro stood confused at the eagerness of his friend who didn’teven say more than a few words and rushed away. Now Jyro didn’t have anylessons for the rest of the day, and couldn’t replace Johnny anywhere in sight, hechecked at the dorms, checked at the vineyard gardens and checked at the dinnerhall but there was no sign of Johnny, so seeing as both of his friends weremissing he decided to pay Mongoley a visit. Jyro made it to Mongoleys shop atabout 4:15 and the town was vibrant as usual, people flocked up and down thestreets in their elegant wears buying goods and enjoying themselves, kidsdanced throughout the streets playing ball games and marbles while residentsgreeted him, he also felt comfortable outside this time around since he waswearing his academy uniform and didn’t look so much out of place. The bellchimed when Jyro entered the shop but there was no signs of Mongoley, the boylooked around for a bit when he was surprisingly greeted by an individual “Hellothere may I help you young sir”said the individual who happened to be no otherthan Liam, “oh it’s you from the other night thanks again friend I reallyappreciate you guys coming to rescue me... What was your name again sorry”asked Liam “it’s no problem don’t worry about it and Its Jyro Thomas” repliedJyro friendly “Jyro Thomas aye I’ll keep that in mind” the young man saidwhilst he smiled and shook Jyros hand. The door chimes sounded and Mongoley walkedthrough the doors “what you lazing about for ay Liam ya best get them boxes outthe back shifted” he voiced ,as he waddled inside and noticed Jyro, “ahh if itisn’t Young Mr Thomas , what can I do for you today ay laddy” he said“ Nothingsir just visiting “ replied Jyro ,Mongoley then looked around the boy for aminute “ eeeeer no Ms morrowind or that other weird one with you today then “Jyro shook his head in disapproval , “ ay I see that other lad has the blood ofa Viking but a heart of a mouse real shame that, anyway come with me I’ve gotsomething to show you” said Mongoley ,he then led Jyro through to one of thebackrooms in the shop.

The room theyentered had a coal burning furnace with mining and smiting equipment, this mustbe where Mongoley forged his weapons Jyro thought to himself, Mongoley then puton some gloves and picked up a long object from within the furnace covered indirty wrappings, I just finish this the other day” he said as he unwrapped theobject and showed it to Jyro, it was a sword. “It’s made from the hardest metalyou replace on these plains, adamantine “said Mongoley as he demonstrated thesword with a few swings, the sword had a black hilt with white markings on it,its blade was shiny like steel but on the edge bore a darker grey pattern thatrun from the hilt to the point, this would be the first time Jyro encountered aweapon up close and he found it incredibly beautiful. “ so you craft weapons alot then Mongoley” asked Jyro, Mongoley chuckled to himself then replied “not as I use to dear lad, I’ve retiredfrom making weapons to kill, now I just sell em and fix em up, this swords myfirst work in quite some years now” he stated , “but why?, your clearly amazingat making weapons… why did you stop” said Jyro curiously, Mongoley took a fewminutes to reply as his face dropped into sadness “well long ago I use to craftweapons for the king himself you know ,Iwas the best at it and everyone in the land knew it then that tragedy happened you know the hells gate disaster and the kinglost his life…. Till a blade I made myself” Jyros eyes widened to the shock ofwhat he just heard but he knew it was best to not ask further more questions.Mongoley then went rummaging through his tools and pulled out the pouch that hegot from the woods the other night, “this is what I wanted to show ya lad,remember I told you this ere was cursed well that’s not all it was take a good lookat this “ Mongoley then began placing items into the pouch , he added a fewdozen before lastly placing the long sword inside, Jyro was stunned at how thesword fitted inside it since the pouch wasn’t no bigger than a rug sack, Mongoleythen tipped the pouch over and a sudden rush of items and weapons came floodingout the small pouch. “whoa…how did that?” muttered Jyro, “ aye I thought thesame thing looks like this is a special pouch which can carry countless itemsbig or small and store them without adding any weight to the pouch itself”Mongoley explained , “ like A magic pouch? But why would that be around thewoods….. wait it couldn’t be ?” said Jyro, “ aye I think so too lad someonemust have put those wee goblins all in this bag then brought them into the Citywalls and released them inside into the forest” explained Mongoley “ but whowould do that?, and if so shouldn’t we tell the authorities about this” Jyrosaid intently , “ mmmm not yet I still want to have a look at this pouch for abit longer then ill decide what we do next but for now keep your eyes open lad,its best to be on full alert when strange things like this happen” Mongoleyexplained, Jyro nodded in approval “ bythe way you know regarding the Hells Gate Disaster how and why did it happen?” Jyrovaguely questioned, “Mmm well I suppose they haven’t taught you about it inschool yet, well there’s no harm in knowing I guess, You were probably a weebaby and it happened 13 years ago, the sun suddenly turned red and the sky litabove like a fiery furnace, earth quakes resonated throughout the land which wasthen followed up with demonic creatures rising from the earth, many people losttheir lives that day loved ones, friends it was horrible I tell you, butluckily the previous king and his 3 trusted knights fought tooth and nail andeventually closed the gate, well one of them did… a man named as the Demonknight Eros”. Jyro remembered that name and of the statue he saw that stoodoutside the school grounds, “was that guy actually a …. You know demon “heasked curiously, “well rumors said he was some just said he was mad but therewas no denying it that Eros was one hell of a knight he slayed 1000s of thedemons that poured out of the gate and somehow managed to seal it shut whichcost him his life, no matter what anybody says about him he was a truly greathero” Mongoley ranted, Jyro for some reason then felt a nostalgic feelinginside him the story of Eros intrigued him greatly.

The evening wasupon the city of Canta as the first day of lessons for the first years wasover, Jyro and Johnny were both at the lounge area playing a classic game ofcards with some of the rest of the boys that shared the dorm with them, ConnorFleming a chubby faced boy with freckles who came from west green islands andTobias Drinkwater a dark toned skin boy who came from the land of Criafa. Thegroup of boys joked, talked and shared past stories and got to know oneanother, “hey Jyro I heard your quite the guy now” Tobias said , “yeahh everyone’stalking about how you’re an undercover genius and what not, ha-ha you couldhave let us know you were secretly a monster” connor added, Jyro simply smirkednervously at them both and continued on playing cards, “ I was kind of shockedby that as well Jy like I knew you weren’t weak but never imagined your plantto do that” said Johnny , “ beginners luck I guess” Jyro responded abruptly allof a sudden Tristine came shooting into the room. She held the black book shefound in the library and slammed it on the table in front of them “ oiii do youmind were playing a game over ere” said Johnny whilst Tristine simply gave hima glance and proceeded on, “ Jyro we have a problem a big problem I was halfway into the book when I discovered some pages missing!,” said Tristine, Jyrolooked at Tristine as if to say what do you expect me to do, the young girl begunto huff and puff out of frustration, “wait is that book by Merlin albert”Johnny asked” yes-yes it is and don’t go getting your dirty paws all over it ,it’s still mine for 3 days” Tristine remarked whilst Johnny began examining hishands for dirt. Tristine sighed to herself “anyway boys there’s no way round itus 3 are going to have to replace the culprit” she said , Jyro and Johnny lookedat one another worryingly, “and how are we going to manage that” asked Jyro ,“ahem well, will sneak into the library go through the records of the peoplewho had this book last and check for when the book was submitted for havingdamage then will correspond the last person who took it out after that damagenotice then get the missing pages from them, simple ” Tristine rambled , Jyroand Johnny had a bad feeling about this and where not keen on another dangerousadventure with the young girl, “well as fun as that sounds Trish were all in avery complex game of Jokers and Knights at the moment and can’t possibly leavewith the game so close” said Johnny, Tristine then peered over at one of the boys cards in hand “this guy winsin 2 moves he’s got a black queen this one over her has two mountain horses,now come on guys I have the keys” she said whilst grinning cheeringly , “ ahh come on” bellowed Tobias throwing hiscards on the table, Jyro and Johnny reluctantly agreed to Tristines request andthe 3 kids headed for the library.

The 3 kids made itto the main building successfully without being caught, Tristine led the way asthe 3 of them crept throughout the hallways and hid along the walls at any signof trouble. So they went up the long steps that took them to the second floor,the floor of the library. They crouched behind the wall at the end of the hallto the library, the doors where in their sights but there was one problem theydidn’t expect, a prefect was patrolling the halls. Now in the Canta Academy thestudents were eligible to become aprefect between Grade C and B and the duties usually delegated to themwere night patrols around the school, “sowhat’s your big plan then now Tristine” whispered Johnny “ shhhh keep quiet andjust watch” Tristine responded, she then took out a little pink case from herbag and spoke to it “come out Gum Gum” apink ball of light quickly rushed out of it, the pink ball fizzed around thetwo boys faces and landed on Jyros nose “ what in the world is that” asked Johnny“ That is my pixie Her names Gum Gum” Tristine said whilst Johnny and Jyrogazed at it in bewilderment “PIXIE?” they both exclaimed, as they lookedclosely into the light they saw a very tiny figure of a girl with wings immersedin the Centre of the light, the pixie then flew up high glittering around theair then dashed towards the prefect patrolling , the light danced around theprefects head, the pixie startled theprefect boy and he flayed his arms about in the air in a state of panic , inthe midst of this Tristine then brought out her bow and arrow aligned with hersight and fired at the prefect hittinghim on his bottom. The prefects suddenly collapsed and the kids went to inspecthim, “nice job Gum Gum” said Tristine,” nice job? You’ve blimmin killed him,have you gone bonkers why’d you shoot him with an arrow for? Johnny exclaimedwhilst Jyro went to feel his pulse “he’s not dead…. I think he’s just sleeping”Jyro said with relief “of course he’s sleeping I had sleeping poison rubbed onthe arrow, don’t worry hell be up in a few minutes” said Tristine. Meanwhile Johnnyalmost had a meltdown as he tried wrap his head around what was going on “poison?And that makes it better does it, my god where did you even replace poison and aPixie? Is that even allowed into the school” he added as he continued his stateof panic,Jyro and Tristine simply stepped over the sleeping prefect and enteredthe library.

The library wasdark as the kids entered so Tristine quickly summoned her pixie as a source oflight, “alright lets be quick about this, I think the library records are keptat the main desk” said Tristine, not too long afterwards Johnny crept in, “ohfinally decided to join us Drama queen” mocked Tristine whilst Johnny pretendedto not hear her remarks. The kids made their way to the main desk whilst Johnnylooked around the darkened room nervously,” hey guys lets hurry up and get outof here, we remember what happened the last time we was in a dark place, mythoughts do recall goblins chasing us” Johnny sarcastically remarked. Jyro andTristine searched for the file that contained the record books, “Found it” saidJyro, they opened the file and begun looking for the book. “Ok here it is‘Genesis’, let’s see the last time is was reported damage was this date and theperson who had it then was …’Tius’” Tristine and Jyro then looked at oneanother in astonishment “ as in Valko Tius” said Jyro “, meanwhile Johnny wascautiously looking around the darkened library when he started to hear soundsof books tumbling in the distance, “aaah drats I knew it” spoke Johnny, momentslater out emerged a white spirit that towered above him , it had no body butonly the face of a women with her eyes blindfolded, the kids were stunnedwhilst they looked up at the spirit hovering in front of them. Jyro was the first to come to his senses andhe grabbed Tristines arm and made a run for it, after he made the first fewsteps Jyro looked behind him to see if Johnny matched his pace but Johnnydidn’t move, he simply stood there and stared at the spirit in disarray “JOHNNY”screamed Jyro, the spirit then passed through Johnny sending him tumbling tothe floor. Jyros survival instinct kicked into gear and he grabbed Tristinesarm and ran to the other side of the library, he could hear the sound of thebooks dropping behind him as the spirit pursued them, he looked to his rightand saw the signs for the toilet so him and Tristine ran inside and barricadedthemselves behind the door. “ We’ve got to go get Johnny back so I need you towait here and I’ll run for it “said Jyro, but what he didn’t realize was thatthe young girl was still in a state of shock responding only with silence, thenoise outside ceased, and Jyro and Tristine slowly took their weight off thedoor, BANGG! The door swung open off its hinges sending Jyro flying back. Jyroslowly came to his senses as his vision was blurry and hazed, he opened hiseyes and saw the spirit towering over Tristines unconscious body, “GET AWAYFROM HER! He screamed whilst he slowly tried to steady himself onto his feet,the Spirits face begun to move closer to Tristine and in an instant Jyrobrought out his Zooz stick pointed it towards the spirit and screamed “FULMINIS PULSUS”, a lightning ballsurged out of the stick hitting the wall breaking it upon impact. The spirit flew around suddenly in fearand attached itself onto the ceiling and looked down on the boy, Jyro stared backat it menacingly ready to fight, he looked at Tristines body lying there thenremembered Johnny outside laying on the floor, and his heart begun to burn andfeelings of anger and fury boiled up inside him, a sensation he’s never feltbefore surged through his body. Jyro then looked at his arm and begun undoingthe wrappings, the bandages fell on the floor and Jyros cursed arm manifested, thered scales then begun to cover the whole arm almost like a shield and gleamedand shone like they was made out of metallic blood, Jyro suddenly felt a sharpburning sensation and fell to his knees. Whilst he clutched at his arm andgroaned in pain the spirit descended slowly towards him with caution till itwas hovering over him, Jyros head filled with whispers and a dark toned voicespoke to him with words he could not understand. The spirit moved even closerto the distressed boy and it brought its face within an inch away from Jyros,the boy looked up and gazed at the pale faced entity, just as it was about to touchhim he raised his cursed arm and a red stream of lighting surged out of it sendingthe spirit fizzling to the floor, the red electricity streamed around thespirit as it screeched in pain, blood trickled down the face of the spirit, ithowled in a ferocious pitch and charged through Jyro, the boy abruptly fell tothe ground and passed out.

All Jyro saw was blackness,he could hear screams and felt a very hot sensation as if fire was burningright in front of him, the screams grew faint and he heard a voice speaking tohim, “Amon, Amon, Amon” the musky voice continued to repeat itself but Jyrocouldn’t make out its words properly, the voice dimmed till it eventuallystopped speaking, Jyro woke up. Jyro lifted up his head and saw Mr. Kobi theheadmaster standing over his bed, he wasn’t alone though professor Dhanoa wasthere along with the head mistress and two others he didn’t recognize, Mr. Kobismiled at him with relief as Jyro slowly sat himself up “take it easy boy, howare you feeling?” the man he didn’t recognize asked, Jyro rubbed his painfulhead and then realized his cursed arm was wrapped tightly in bandages again ,the boys heart sank as he started to fall into a state of panic, “whoa now takeit easy try and relax everything is oknow” the headmaster said trying to relax the boy, “did they replace out?, what arethey going to do ?, is it all over? The boy thought to himself, “mmm to thinkthe spirit guardian would attack some students this has never happened before”said the headmistress “this is not the place nor the time for this” said theheadmaster he then laid his hand out on the boys head “rest well” he said “willtalk later”.
