Tempt Our Fate: A Small Town Enemies To Lovers Billionaire Romance (Sutten Mountain) -
Tempt Our Fate: Chapter 51
I never imagined going to my first extravagant event with cum leaking from me. I cross my legs in the back of a limousine, well aware that the scrap of lace between my legs is soaked with both my cum and Camden’s.
When we finally left his gallery, running a little late after breaking in his workspace, we had to rush to get back to his penthouse to get ready for the event. I’d intended on just taking a quick shower to get myself clean, but then I discovered soap from Miss Mary in Camden’s shower, and I was turned on all over again.
Lips meet the shell of my ear, moving against my sensitive skin as I break out in goose bumps. “What are you thinking about, shortcake?” Camden’s voice is low and sexy, his fingers trailing up my leg from the slit in my dress.
“Soap,” I answer honestly, my mind going to discovering that Camden’s been using the same soap as me.
“You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?” His lips move to my neck. I’m suddenly thankful he’d denied riding to the event with Beck and Margo so we could have some time for just the two of us.
I smile, turning my face to his so we’re eye to eye. “I was thinking how much it turned me on to know you took the soap all the way from Sutten to Manhattan.”
His teeth rake against my throat. “I hated myself for buying it. For packing it in my bags. But it reminded me of you. Every time I showered with it, I pictured you were there with me. I’d fist my cock, thinking of you.”
His fingers drift dangerously close to the wetness between my legs. I squeeze my thighs together. The hair and makeup team had spent two hours getting me ready for tonight; I’m not going to let him mess it up. Even though it is tempting…
“Camden,” I moan as he squeezes my inner thigh. “Your cum literally still leaks from me from when you interrupted my shower while the glam team waited for me. Wait until tonight.”
He laughs, the sound sending tingles down my spine. “If I remember correctly, you’re the one who dropped to your knees for me the moment I stepped into the shower. I was just trying to get clean for the event.”
My cheeks flush because he’s right. I couldn’t help myself. He’d fucked me until my legs were numb at the gallery, but seeing the soap, knowing what it meant, I needed him all over again.
I worry that I’ll always feel like this, no matter what happens between us. Camden Hunter is a force of nature, and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of him.
“Not going to say anything to that?” he continues, his tongue caressing the base of my neck.
“Can you blame me? It was sexy to know even when you were gone, you were thinking of me.”
“Thoughts of you have plagued my mind for far too long. I’m always thinking of you. I’ve got the soap at my place in Sutten, too. And the lotion,” he adds.
The limo slows. I try to look out the window, but it’s far too tinted to see anything. I can make out headlights behind us, almost like we’re in a line of waiting cars.
“I’d much prefer to ditch them,” Camden continues, his fingers replaceing my chin. He guides my face to look at his. “And just have you with me at all times instead.”
My heart pounds in my chest from the mix of not only his words but the intense way he looks at me. “You have to take me on at least four more dates before you ask me to spend every night with you.”
“I need to know you’re mine. Just mine.” His words come out hurried, like he didn’t even have time to second-guess them before they left his lips.
My back straightens, my fingers tightening on the lapels of his black tux. “That sounded like a demand and not a question.”
He smiles, his thumb brushing over my lip. “It’s a demand but also a plea. You’re already my everything, shortcake. Now I just need to know you’re all mine. Please.”
If I didn’t already know I was falling for him, I’d be positive by the sheer vulnerability in his tone. In the way his eyes roam my face, trying to get a read on my reaction. In fact, this might be the time I realize I’m past falling for him. I’ve fallen.
“Words,” Camden croaks. “I need words to know where your head’s at.”
I’m too busy thinking if I should blurt that I’ve fallen in love with him. It’s at the tip of my tongue, desperate to be put out in the open. But I’m too terrified that my feelings have developed too fast and they’ll scare him away. That his gran was wrong when she told me he was in love with me. So I keep them locked inside, instead fusing my lips to his to distract myself.
He greedily kisses me back for a moment before he pulls away. His fingers stay locked on my cheeks as his icy-blue gaze stares at me deeply. “I’m yours. All yours. Are you mine?”
“Yes,” I immediately answer, glancing at his lips.
“Really?” His voice is laced with vulnerability and excitement, doing something to my heart.
I nuzzle my nose against his. “Is that even a question? You’re rich, give phenomenal orgasms, and are a softie underneath that grumpy facade. Of course I’m yours.”
“I can’t wait to introduce you on the red carpet as mine.”
My head rears back. “Red carpet?”
His lips twitch as a smile plays on his lips. “Yes. This gala is huge. There will be celebrities and people of power from various industries in attendance tonight. And every single one of them will know you’re mine.”
I look down at the dress Emma and Margo helped me pick out. The blush-pink color was one that I couldn’t say no to. When Emma convinced me to try it on, I knew immediately it was the one. The corset top hugged my body perfectly, accentuating my breasts and the narrow of my waist. At the waist, it pleats before the silk fabric falls all the way to my feet. It’s sexy but in a classy way, with a slit that runs up my leg and off-the-shoulder sleeves.
I’ve never felt so beautiful as I did when I stepped out of the room I got ready in and found Camden staring right at me. His shoulders had stilled, as if I’d actually taken his breath away with the formfitting dress and the pristine curls that fell down my back.
Now I’m second-guessing everything, knowing we’ll have to walk a red carpet.
“Will there be cameras?” I ask anxiously, gripping him tighter when the car comes to a stop.
“Yes. A lot of them. But I’ll be with you the entire time.”
“I don’t know if I can do this,” I admit.
His hand replaces mine at the same moment his door opens. “I’ve got you, shortcake.”
And before I can say anything else, he slides out. The moment he’s out of the car, he turns toward me and holds out his hand. I grab it, taking a deep breath and letting him lead me into his world.
