"Oh goodness darling, she looks so beautiful!" I heard the sweet voice of a woman say. She was seated close to the Alpha king, making me understand immediately that she was his Luna,

She had dark long hair and her green hair was the prettiest that I had ever seen in my life, they were so beautiful,

"Come here sweetheart, come take a seat close to me. Your mate will join us soon." She uttered,

It was as if she could read my mind and knew I was looking for Dexter,

I slowly walked towards her and sat down,

"I love your hair, and your eyes darling, they are so pretty. The moon goddess must have blessed Dexter with such a beautiful lady. Darling, just take a look at her..."

"She’s indeed beautiful sweetheart." The Alpha king uttered,

I didn’t know what to say. Why were they being so kind to me? I had expected them to be mean and probably hate me too, but I was wrong. Why then did Dexter portray them as bad people when they were the sweetest parents anyone could ask for.

Silently, I wish I had this. How come he grew up to be a dick with this kind of parents,

Just as I was about to utter something in response, I heard a mean voice,

"That’s my seat."

I raised my head towards the direction of the voice and arched my brows as I didn’t understand what was going on,

Who the hell was she? Dexter didn’t tell me he had a sister with dirty blonde hair, and a crazy appearance to go with it. She was on a black jean jacket and she had red plump lips with sea blue eyes,

"Oh Scarlett, stop being so rude and allow her to sit with me. She’s going to be the next Luna Queen soon and you’d have to give her the respect she deserves someday."

I watched the lady widen her eyes in shock as she averted her gaze to me again,

"W... what are you saying Luna Aurora?"

The Luna chuckled as she held my hand and gently squeezed it while I smiled at her,

I could see the worry in Scarlett’s eyes and it made me wonder who she was. If she was his sister, wasn’t she supposed to be happy that her dickhead brother finally found a mate who was even willing to be with him even with his horrible nature? "Scarlett, meet...." The Luna stared at me, and I knew she wanted me to say my name,

"Amelia Ross,"

"Amelia, what a beautiful name." She complimented me,

"Thank you, Luna."

"And Amelia, darling, meet Scarlett Hayley Gregory, Dexter’s childhood friend. They practically grew up together after Scarlett lost her father, my husband’s Beta to a pack attack. Beta Gregory was a brave man and may his soul rest in perfect peace." Luna Aurora uttered,

My eyes didn’t leave Scarlett and for a second, I saw rage in her eyes as she stared at me. I could have sworn I saw her hand tighten into a fist for just a second before she let go,

She wasn’t Dexter’s sister after all, and I knew that look,

That look in her eyes only meant one thing,

She was fucking jealous, and being jealous meant, she had something for Dexter too.

"Now, Scarlett, why don’t you come to greet Dexter’s mate? You have to treat her nicely and

probably show her around the pack..."

"Enough of the introduction, already. Amelia, get the hell up right now." We all heard Dexter’s cold and intimidating voice as he stood behind Scarlett and while my eyes widened, I saw fire in his eyes,

Without knowing what to do, I rose to my feet and took a few steps away from the Luna Queen.

What the hell was going on with him right now? Was he doing this because of HER?
