AMELIA -

I woke up feeling a bit better. At least for the first time in my life, I got to sleep in a very huge and comfortable bed but the sadness of last night was still in my heart,

I had dreamt about meeting my mother, and everything I was going to say to her,

As I sat upright on the bed, I told myself that I had to be strong with the decision I was about to make,

The knock on my door brought my attention back to reality and I rubbed my eyes gently. I rose to my feet only to realize that I had slept off in the shorts and white top I had worn for dinner last night.

I walked towards the door and opened it only to see two young ladies standing at the exit,

"Good morning, Luna; we’re here to get you prepared as instructed by the Alpha." They uttered while I arched my brows, suddenly realizing that today was my wedding day.

Today, I was finally going to get married to a mate who had not even an ounce of love for me,

To a man I knew was ready to ruin my life just because I was his mate. I stood at the altar with my bouquet held tightly in my hands and took in a deep breath. If he was going to arrive late, then why ask the maids to get me ready very early?

I continued to wait, pondering about the multiple reasons that I was doing this then I cocked my head towards the crowd to see the Alpha King and Luna Aurora staring at me with so much emotion in their eyes,

The look they had on made me let out a small smile like I was happy. They had no idea how hurt my heart was by the decision I was about to make,

They had no idea how fucking horrible their son was, but I had to play along like this was some sort of happy marriage that I wanted,

Luna Aurora nodded gently at me, "You’re so beautiful, darling." I heard her whisper, and my smile grew wider,

Honestly, how could Dexter hate this woman? What had she done to him because all I could see when l stared at her was a real beautiful kind woman who was trying her best to make him happy and win him over, so why?

Did she do anything to him in the past, and if she did, at least she was trying to make amends,

"Thank you!" I murmured back before I heard the announcement from one of the guards outside,

"The Alpha has arrived."
