"What does it look like, bitch? See you in two weeks, and just maybe, I’ll keep my mate away from you as long as I can. Let’s see how you live without having to cling around him every day like a pest." I murmured to her, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to do anything, and rose to my feet,

I wasn’t done eating but I couldn’t bear the sight of her close to me,

"You’ll fucking pay for this, I swear you.."

"Blah blah blah..." I muttered, keeping my fingers like the shape of her big plump lips as I chuckled, and continued walking away,

As I got to the room and opened it, the first thing my eyes did was look around for Dexter and thankfully, he wasn’t in,

I got to the bed and lay on it, staring at the ceiling

"I expected to see you packing." I heard Dexter’s voice and immediately sat upright on the bed, but didn’t utter a word to him,

It had been like this since the day he chose to believe Scarlett and run towards her when she had planned it,

I rose to my feet and began heading towards the door so I could walk out of the room, but he grabbed my arm almost immediately I was about to walk past him "You planned this, didn’t you?"

I turned my head towards him,

"I have no idea what you’re talking about. Now, if you wouldn’t mind, I would like to stay away from you for as long as I can." I muttered and he immediately let go of my hand while I walked out of the room.

A few hours later, it was time to leave the pack. As I approached the limo, I found Luna Aurora waiting for me and my mood was immediately uplifted,

To me, she was just like the mother I had always desperately wanted. "So sorry, it’s just me, darling; the Alpha king is taking his noon rest, and Scarlett refuses to come downstairs to see you two off. It’s her first time staying away from Dexter for this long but she’ll get over it."

I forced a smile on and nodded my head,

"I’m glad it was you, Luna," I uttered and got into her warm embrace while she whispered,

"Don’t forget the fertility pills, they’ll help you take in faster. And darling, it’s our little secret."

I chuckled and nodded my head, "It’s right here in my bag, and I’m not letting it go, Luna." I responded and we broke the hug. The moment we both saw Dexter approaching the car, Luna Aurora let go of my hand and took a few steps away from the car, making me understand it was because of Dexter when he got to the car, he stepped in without uttering a word while I did the same afterward.

After waving goodbye, the car was ignited and we drove away. 20 minutes into the ride, I had not expected Dexter to utter a word but he cocked his head towards me,

"Hand me the bag." He muttered coldly as I stared at him with arched brows,

"Why?" I questioned, but without giving another response, he tore it away from my arm, flinging it outside the car through the window I immediately gasped in shock as the only thing on my mind were the pills Luna Aurora had given me,

My gaze turned red as I stared at Dexter, "What the hell?" I yelled, but he tucked his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone as he responded,

"Trust the witch at your own risk, Amelia, but not while you’re yet to get pregnant with my pup."
