Chapter 22-5

"We’re done." I heard the doctor’s voice with a smile on her face as I opened my eyes.

"Did I fall asleep?"

"Yes. It must have been a tiring process for you and you slept off. How do you feel right now? Can you walk properly?"

Now that my vision was clear, I rose to my feet,

"My thighs hurt a little," I answered, but she nodded her head,

"It’s absolutely normal. You will be coming back to the hospital in fourteen days for the pregnancy checkup, okay."

I nodded my head in agreement and watched as she walked away after ward.

As soon as I was done dressing, I stepped out of the ward, but Dexter was nowhere to be found. He wasn’t outside, neither was he inside the hospital. The first thing that crossed my mind was that he had certainly left me just like the first time,

As I recalled his rage this morning, I heaved and began walking, but a black car halted right in front of me,

"Please, this wa madam."

The chauffeur uttered and I instantly knew it was from Dexter. I stepped into the car and it drove off.

I had expected to be home, but the car halted in front of a big hall,

"What are we doing here?" I questioned him surprisingly,

"Sir Denver has instructed the entire building to be cleared out for your shopping today." He announced and I widened my eyes in shock.
