Chapter 39-3

"Are you coming with me or do you wish to sleep out here till nightfall? Don’t think Clara would come for you because I’m certain she has a lot of distractions at the moment."

"You gotta be kidding me, Dexter, you won’t dare keep me outside," I uttered, but he scoffed,

"Don’t let her in until I’m back.." he instructed and again they nodded their head while I stared at them in anger,

"Are you coming with me or not?"

I hated that Dexter always had his way no matter what, but what could I do

"Where are you taking me to?" I questioned grumpily and he smiled at me,

"That’s more like it. Get in, you’ll see for yourself."

I got into the car, and when he got in, the car was ignited, and he drove out of the house. I tried to remain silent, wondering where the hell Dexter was taking me. I was really having a lot of fun with Clara until he came to ruin it,

At least for the first time, I wasn’t bothered that he would be with Scarlett or not, because I had my mind too busy to think about him but he ruined it,

The car halted thirty minutes later and the doors were opened for us to step out,

"Alpha Dexter, you’re welcome. It’s such a great honor to finally have you here." A young lady in a black suit and long black hills greeted, lowering her head,

Finally? Did it mean this was his first time in such a huge building?

"Did you prepare everything?" Dexter questioned and she nodded her head while I stared at them in confusion. Where the hell was this place,

"Alright, that’s cool."

Dexter cocked his head back at me,

"Come on, let’s go." He uttered but I didn’t move,

"Amelia?"

"Where is this place?" I questioned. The lady stared at me but Dexter gave her a signal to walk away,

"Do you want me to drag you in myself?"

He uttered before I started walking alongside him,

As we both got in, I nearly gasped at the sight of the decorations. It was a fancy restaurant lookalike with only two seats and a table in the middle, I stared at Dexter,

"Have a seat." The lady who pushed a chair out uttered and I sat down. I still couldn’t understand what all this was about and why I was here.

A few minutes afterward, several dishes were brought, but on the stretcher, a young man in a suit picked up a big box and dropped it close to me,

"What is this?" I questioned, but no one gave me an answer so I decided to open it and see for myself,

I pulled up the cover of the box and when my eyes met with what was in the box, they widened in shock and I let out a loud gasp,

"Now let’s eat, Amelia; I’m famished," Dexter uttered and they immediately began arranging the dishes.
