Chapter 7447

Suddenly, Frona's voice resounded in James' mind. “I also think it's inappropriate. The Waitara Path has ruined Mordecai and Dillon's reputation. They should be able to do something for the Haleth Realm and clear their names."

James furrowed his brows.

Meanwhile, Dillon seemed to have made up his mind. He suddenly knelt before James and said, “If you genuinely want to give us a chance to prove ourselves, please allow me to return to Mount Zacharias and assemble some of my old subordinates. We'll enter the Origin of Evils and protect the Haleth Realm from the Shadowborns."

Seeing Dillon's determination, Mordecai also knelt before James. "I am also willing to return to the Preston Region to summon my forces to resist the Shadowborns in the Dread District."

James squinted his eyes at them. Before he conquered the Historial Palace and comprehended the Forty-Nine Daoisms, he had no idea what the Origin of Evils and Dread District were. However, he now had a clearer understanding of these two mysterious places.

Assuming the Haleth Realm was a vast, closed space, it had only one passage the Xyrisia Gate. However, a million entrapochs ago, the Waitara Path conspired with the Five Shadowborns to seize the Xanadu Realm and launch an attack on the Destiny Sect.

Though their main force was defeated by the Xurraeus Power, which the Nine Caeloros Gods of Nothingness had released, many powerhouses of the Shadowborns had drifted into the Xanadu Realm. Eventually, they broke two holes into the Haleth Realm, later named the Origin of Evils and the Dread District. That was one of the main reasons the Caeloros Gods of Nothingness had to modify their Daoisms to force the Waitara Path away.

Unfortunately, the Path Cauldron

that could open the Origin of Evils and Dread District was controlled by the Waitara Path's soul spirit. These cauldrons were likely crucial for the Waitara Path's Soremsia to return and launch the Leere Tribulation.

After contemplating for a long time, James looked at Mordecai and Dillon. He helped them up and said, "You two are noble and loyal. It is I who was impulsive."

James took a deep breath and said,

"You may return to your old bases and assemble forces. However, regarding whether I should allow you to venture into the Origin of Evils and the Dread District, you must wait before I can give a definite answer. I would like to explore these places first. Rest assured, I won't allow you to die while trying to clear your names."

After briefly being stunned, Mordecai and Dillon quickly bowed and then took their leave. However, they suddenly stopped and turned back to James. Seeing him calmly look at them, the two exchanged glances.

Mordecai frowned and asked, "Are you really letting us go like this?"

James shrugged and said, "What else? I can't possibly give you each a flag or treasure to help you assemble your old forces, right? They are your subordinates and won't listen to me."

Dillon asked hesitantly, "Are you not afraid we'll rebel against you?"

James chuckled, "You would not have died for loyalty and honor if you harbored such evil thoughts."
