The Alpha & Beta's Regret
The Alpha & Beta’s Regret – Chapter 143

Hannah POV

She felt it, the moment was here, upon them. Luci’s pathway was all laid out before her. Shot to her feet as she saw a bloody slaughtering happening inside her own mind.

A vision of the future, nothing but death rained around the girl. Starting here within this pack itself.

Held her hands out and the moment Aaliyah and Giannah touched her she was gone with them. To the packhouse where it would all start, none of them had ever been inside of Luci’s room. A witch’s home, a witch like Luci was, was not something to invade. Even if that witch did not understand or even know what she was at the time.

The three of them stood outside Luci’s room staring at the door, she had a decision to make. Hannah mind-linked to both Rafe and Jack, ‘s**t is about to hit the fan, stay downstairs and whatever you hear or feel. Do not, and / mean it, do not mind-link to Luci, it is imperative you stay out of this, or the entire pack could be destroyed.’

“Where is she?’ both of them asked in return.

‘In her room, learning the truth about everything. / war you, stay the hell away from her. Do not mind-link to her . Stay with the boys. I am going to get permission to put them to sleep, hopefully. Cut that mind-link and prayed to the Goddess that Jack would listen and heed her words, knew that Rafe would. That man was a rock most of the time, solid and dependable, followed the pack laws to the letter, and listened to her, even when he didn’t want to, seemed to just know she wasn’t all bad, had a better understanding of things going on around them, contained himself always.

Jack, however, was a ball of unchecked emotions where Luci was concerned, and it didn’t help that right this very minute he knew he was Mated to the woman. He was the wildcard right now. If he could be contained and Luci’s permission granted maybe, just maybe, they could save hundreds of lives this very night.

Her window of opportunity was rapidly closing and she knew it. She only had a finite amount of time to help save this pack from the twins, who were going to go completely ballistic if they felt their mothers true pain and anguish.

Nothing would save this pack from them. Many would die, likely their own fathers as well.

They had the true cold bloodedness of a Siren when it came down to it and those two little boys unleashing their combined witch bloodline with the coldness of their Sirens’ uncaring nature, they would not care about who died, until it was all over and they came back to their normal state, which was one of happiness and joy. They wouldn’t care to understand until it was over, and they saw the actual devastation they had wrought. She had to stop that from happening.

This was the moment. She took a breath in and had to risk her and her sisters’ lives to the wrath of another witch, young but powerful and with no real knowledge or understanding of what she wielded yet herself. Hannah and her sisters understood they needed to risk their own lives in order to help keep Luci calm, till she got that permission from her to put the twins to sleep.

This was the unknown pathway, the divide that could not be seen by her, because of Luci’s Siren bloodline. Hannah had never been able to get past the cold heartlessness of that Siren within. She knew Sirens were loving and caring within their own packs. Nothing mattered more to them than their family. That was the problem they all faced now.

A witch wanting to use witchcraft on a Siren’s child, or children in this case, was unknown to her. Would Alari allow it? That was what could never be seen by Hannah.

No matter how much they had tried and she and her sisters had been trying nearly all day, every day since Luci had returned.

She appeared right in front of Luci and her own eyes widened at the sight before her. All three of them were not only on the surface, but all three of them were in control, were fully united as one. She was looking at a true Triune right at this minute. Witch, Wolf and Siren all merged together as one.

She had never actually seen it herself, not even in her very long life, though shed read about it. It was a rare thing to happen, and never before with such a blend of creatures to her knowledge, not ever had there been a Siren as part of a Triune. This was a first for their world. Likely, why Selena had intervened herself and not allowed Luci to feel the pains of betrayal.

But standing there looking at them, it was nothing compared to what she had read, seen in pictures even. All three of them were looking at her, Luci, Kali and Alari all together. Her eyes were black like Alari’s, but now she had two iris’s in each eye, both green. One the brilliant green of Luci and the other the glowing green of her wolf, Kali.

Three sets of eyes all looking at her all at once, each she could see moved independently, controlled by each part of them, like her body was. She reached out and took her sister’s hands in hers as they formed a circle around them.

Needed to move her from this room to their own home, a place that was imbued to create calm and comfort for those visiting them, it would help allow Luci to calm down.

They tried to move her, blip her back to their home and felt the resistance at once to her being shifted by them. Their own magic snapped against Luci’s Triune powers. Luci didn’t even really understand herself yet, but her linage and the strength of all her bloodlines united was stronger than their own combined powers. Luci’s sheer will not to leave this room, had stopped them from blipping her out of here and to the comfort of their own home.

Heard both her sisters gaps ‘no’, it was to late and they all knew it. Luci’s natural witch’s bloodline instincts to defend and protect herself were already kicked in. She didn’t need to do anything at all really, never had. That witch side of her was and always would protect her.

When they tried to move her, Luci had glowed and they had been forced back here by her. The atmosphere around them reacted violently to the two types of magic clashing against each other. A massive c***k like thunder ripped through the room and the bang that was heard was actually caused by the four of them being violently attached to the floor here in this room.

She knew Luci was, and her two beasts were still trying to come to terms with the knowledge they were seeing, come to understand what it all meant to them, for them now and in the past. It was a lot for her for the three of them to take in. They were currently completely numb and emotionless right at this minute.

But that wasn’t going to last long and she knew it, likely only a matter of a few minutes. Asked permission to put the twins to sleep, had to. Those two little boys were more powerful than Luci herself was. And a siren call coming out of them filled with all their mothers rage, pain and suffering.

That happening here inside the pack, would devastate many, kill hundreds, they had destroyed many windows and cars on both sides of the street. Their call expanded outwards as it rolled forwards to its target, like ripples on the water, got larger as it moved away from them.

Unlike Alari, who had direct and clear focus, the twins were too young yet for that kind of control, so their call not only projected forwards but outwards in ever expanding soundwaves, that would affect anyone caught in it, even if not a target of their aggression. She also knew that once they got older they would be able do that at will, nothing would harm them or theirs. Could stroll into a pack and devastate it without the need of taking their own warriors to war. Once they came of age, nothing and no one was going to stop them. Thankfully, they were happy little boys, full of light and joy. Wanted to keep them that way, needed to keep them happy for everyone’s sake.

She heard all three of them state “Probably wise.”

Speaking altogether at once with a deep gravelly but harmonic sound at the same time. Made sure to tell her that no harm would come to her children. And then she simply focused all her efforts on the boys and put them into a deep sleep state. Felt the pair of them be claimed by her magic and knew that they would stay that way until she or one of her sisters woke them

They tried once more to remove Luci to a safer environment where there were no wolves, no risk of pack members getting hurt. Couldn’t, was still forced to be here.

Their own magic was nothing compared to a true Triune; they, themselves, were considered Triunes, were three completely separate and united by their birth as triplets, could actively push and pull, share their magic between each other. That was what considered them Triunes, but they were not a true Triune.

Like Luci and her beasts were, three beings inside the one body, united together and now they could actively share the same body and see at the same time when they so chose to. Were now fully realised.

That roar that came from Luci and her beasts, and it was all three of them roaring everything they felt inside of them.

Hannah and her sisters had to snap their hands over their own ears. She saw the room’s walls start to c***k and splinter, a glass vase shatter, the mirror above the fireplace spiderweb and then just smash down on to the floor. The windows of not only this room but Luci’s bedroom all blew out and the French doors to the balcony, all their glass pains rained glass down out there on the balcony.

Then there were cracks not just in the wall but big gaping holes opening up and she stood watching on as Luci’s power just flowed out of her and the wall was gone, exploded and disintegrated before her, all bar one section of it, which was just left floating there before her. Her sole focus was on it. Her mind only thinking about that one thing that had been taken away from her. The mates she had truly loved and been stolen from her.

Then she was just gone, vanished from the room, had blipped herself right out of the room which was now fully destroyed. Hannah had not expected that to happen, she’d not been taught how to do that, it was not that easy to do.

Hannah and her sisters stood staring at the empty space where Luci had been a moment ago and then both their eyes just moved to hers.

“She learned by feeling us trying to move her, Giannah stated.

“Learned very quickly.” Aalyiah sighed.

“Her path is chosen. We can only contain the fallout. We have to go and protect the innocent for her now. She won’t know the difference in her state of mind.”

Hannah saw both her sisters nod but say nothing. They all knew what was coming, as much as they had tried to prepare themselves for it, none of them liked it. They couldn’t do anything about it either; it was their penance to pay for not stopping their brother.

Hannah moved them to the front of the packhouse, just in time to see a bloodied red and grey mist explode around Luci, saw that slight glow and almost like a magical shield appear before her, not one ounce of b***d or brain touched the girl. A simple twitch of her hand had protected herself from the disgusting mess.

She saw her use a direct siren call on Maria, not what had been unleashed upstairs in her room in uncontrollable waves of magic that had radiated outwards much like the twin’s calls did. She seemed to have complete control over that call now, but could feel the magic in it as well. It wasn’t just a Siren call, it was both the Witch and Siren using their powers together, a deadly combination it would seem. She saw Maria end up the same as Melissa had and then they just watched as Luci, in her Triune form, turned and stalked away.

“It’s not over yet,” Giannah murmured.

“We’ll have to go as well, or many innocents will die,”

Aaliyah stated.

“Agreed,” Hannah nodded “We have time though, it will take her a few hours for her to get there, will swim the lake, and run the mountains…” Thought about that the path she would take and saw him, grit her teeth. Of course he would feel it. She left it alone. He would die if he tried to touch them. Hannah would let him, if he was that stupid. Though she doubted that he was. Focused back on the path itself,

“At least 4 hours.” She stated.

“I’ll keep focus on her movements, Hannah,” Aalyiah stated.

“Yes, that is definitely wise.” She nodded “Giannah.”

“I’ll go and finish preparing the herbs and crystals needed to protect the innocents in that pack.”

Hannah sighed and looked at the sky. It had stopped raining but was still overcast up there, a storm was brewing still. And not just one of nature. Of magical proportions.

Turned and walked back into the packhouse as both her sisters blipped back to their home to prepare.

Alpha Rafe and Beta Jack were prowling in the foyer. They both looked at her anxiously. “Luci is a fully realised Triune now. Melissa and Maria are no more. Alpha Colby and his family will join them, it’s not over yet.” She raised a hand to both of them. “Nothing can harm her right now, is a true Triune at this very moment and will not relinquish it till she has completed her own mission. My sister and I will track her, follow her, no one else must get involved, stay here with the boys.”

“You just expect us to do nothing?” both of them asked, and didn’t sound very happy about this turn of events.

“Yes, if you decide to go, she lays eyes on you, it will only compound her pain right now and make things worse. I will sleep this entire pack, till it is over if you don’t stay here.

Don’t get involved till she comes back and has calmed down.” She told them. She needed both of them to stay out of Luci’s sight or the ramifications would just be exponential and she and her sisters wouldn’t be able to help contain it.

“Will she come back?” Jack asked her.

“Yes, the twins are here. May be different when she comes back. That is still unseen at this time. She is difficult to predict due to her Siren bloodline. Luna Jo-anne will be on hand when she comes back to herself, and will help Luci with her pain if she needs it, though she might not. I don’t really understand how the Siren part of her works.” Smiled a little as she looked up to the first floor. Hopefully, Jo-anne was up there helping something she and her sisters could not fix.
