The Alpha King’s Heart – Chapter 152

It was a pleasant night for Ethan but as always, she was gone when he woke up.

Leaving his office, he decided to leave his car and walk by foot, he was beginning to replace a sinister satisfaction in these forbidden hours of the night.

He hurried to the side of the street. The rain had just stopped and the sideways were still moisture-laden and the neon lights of the dry bar across the street glowed irritably across the range of his vision.

He folded his hands into a fist, gnarling and pissed at nothing in particular. He stood there a moment and gazed fixedly at the strange gathering of the night colors in the air.

He needed to hit something. It was the only logical thing to do. It was the only thing that felt like it would calm his restless soul. And maybe it was going to take the pain away.

He stopped, feeling intense pain all over his body. He breathed in and started to walk, ignoring the pain earlier but it started again. His heart was beating erratically and he stopped, touching his shoulder.

‘ Finally,’ he heard the voice again.

‘ What the f**k,’ he hissed.

‘ I’m your wolf,’ the voice said, he almost laughed but stopped when images of his father appeared in his head.

Ethan was on the sidewalk, but his legs kept taking him to the woods.

He spent the next hour in agony, thrashing and screaming. This thing inside him kept telling him things he didn’t understand. He was a wolf, but they blocked him from appearing as a child.

‘ Stop, f*****g talking!” he screamed, touching his ears.

‘ Your father, my father was a wolf, so you are too,’ the voice was nonchalant. His first contorted as he was having a hard time breathing.

” What is happening to me?” he cried.

‘ It’s time to release me. we’re strong now, and your body can’t keep me in,” he said.

” No, no, no, It can’t, it can’t,” he breathed.

‘ Take off your clothes, they’ll rip during shift,’ Ethan was still processing everything and to his surprise, his hands worked on their own accord. His clothes were off his body and he let out a bloody scream as his bones broke, his whole body was out of his control and he surrender to the voice within.

He screamed when he realized he was on his four paws and was covered in gray fur.

Darkness enveloped him and when he woke up, he was on lying on the ground naked and covered in animal b***d without any recollection of what happened after the shift.

He was in deep thought and was determined to replace out the truth about being a wolf.

‘ You are a wolf, you shifted, human,’ the wolf within him barked, annoyed with Ethan and his lack of comprehension.

” So, I should just accept that I have a wolf living within me? Are you f*****g crazy!” he screamed, wearing his clothes quickly.

‘ You don’t have to scream, we are sensitive to sound and I can hear your thoughts also, I’ll tell you what you want to know,’

Ethan had so many questions and he understood so much for instance why he was so strong, why his vision was so better, and why he could hear so well. His father was a werewolf but married a human, that’s why it took him time to shift.

He reached home two hours later and when James saw him, he gasped.

” S- sir- young master,”

” You knew,” Ethan breathed, looking at the old man who slowly nodded. He almost fall to the ground due to being weak but James caught him and took him to his bedroom. He laid him on the bed and covered his body with a duvet.

” I’ll ask the chef to prepare something to eat,” he said. Ethan was indeed hungry.

The butler told the chef to prepare food through the intercom and went back to sit by him.

” Tell me everything, James,” Ethan said weakly.

” I didn’t want to keep anything from you, sir but we thought you won’t shift because you are a halfbreed, like your father,” he said,

” Halfbreed?”

” Like you, he wasn’t a full werewolf and didn’t shift into his wolf form ever,”

” You still should have told me, James,” Ethan said.

James explained to him as much as he could about being a werewolf, and he spent the next two weeks learning more. This was a huge distraction for him from Kate.
