Vova Antonov, Fedorov Volkov, Romanov Belarus,

Leonid Kuznetsov, Alexider Abramov.

These were the five names on Alyona’s list, and beside each character was a mobile number. The AI could time travel backward to fetch those names and mobile numbers from the video footage of the hidden camera in Alyona’s bedroom.

The video resolution was so high that when zoomed in, the fidelity of the video was preserved. Effortlessly the AI read the text on the paper. After the AI performed a robust search of the registered phone numbers beside the names, it came up with the owner’s identities.

They were all members of the Makarov family. Hacking into their phones was relatively easy for the AI to perform after locating the men. It didn’t matter now if Alyona went out of sight to make her calls.

Later that day, Alyona followed Lady Tanya to the supermarket to get a few items. She was alone in another section doing her shopping. She set down the basket load of things, and she took out her phone and paper to make the call.

Again, she hesitated because she wondered if the AI had her phone bugged. She concluded that it didn’t matter; she wasn’t going to say anything that was compromising. She had spent a long time weighing her options, and she had made a few changes to her decision. She picked a name on the list.

“Hello, this is Alyona Makarov,” she said.

“Princess?” a deeply intoned voice inquired. It was the voice of Leonid Kuznetsov.

“Yea,” she responded snappily. “I need you to listen carefully without saying a word. Do you understand?”

“Alright,” Leonid said, letting go of a weary sigh. The air of authority that Alyona’s voice carried was unrivaled. She had a thick Russian accent and spoke in a precise manner.

“Alonzo confessed to ordering the hit on my father. My father’s death was a tragic incident. However, the Marcovic family helped save my life and have been so kind to me, so I want anyone still harboring the thoughts of vengeance to ditch it.”

“Leonid, it would be appreciated if we could meet without questions to discuss more pressing matters. You know, like how both families can move forward unitedly. You can meet up with me here in Italy. I think you should do that. I will talk to Alonzo about having you over.

“Having said all that, I’d like to add this bit. There is no point in honoring a dead man’s wish. I don’t want my sister and me engaged in a family feud because of who holds the position of Don.” She continued.

“Since Mariyanna was there to step up to power, and I wasn’t, I’m pretty content not attaining the position of Don. I am in Italy, and the Marcovics are helping to keep me safe because the traitor, agent Fox, is still running loose. Finally, I need you to bring up my name as the most suited for the underboss position.”

Alyona exhaled sharply after the call. She didn’t trust that the AI housekeeper didn’t bug her phone, but she had turned that to her advantage. She would appear less suspicious now.

However, she wasn’t just putting up appearances; this was how she felt. She would replace a way to make peace with herself for not avenging her father. As for Mariyanna, she meant it too; there was no need to start a war within the family when they could share the power.

Lady Tanya came up to her, wheeling a shopping cart. Alyona picked up her basket and emptied the contents into the cart. Together they went to the payment stand.

They paid in cash. The cashier bagged up their groceries and handed them the bags and receipt. Alyona showed the receipt to the security man at the exit point before they were finally permitted to leave the supermarket.

As for Alonzo, right after Alyona had left him, he went full swing into the day’s business. He went with the King to the Luzhniki stadium, where a rally was held to support the King.

Jerald and Piccolo had accompanied him. In total, more than a hundred thousand people came to the rally.

The rally was conducted by confidants of the King, among whom were star athletes and figures of science and culture. The King gave a speech to motivate the attendees, and it was televised nationwide.

It was another evening in Russia, and Alonzo was in the administrator’s office with Piccolo and Vincenzo; Jerald was scurrying all over Russia for agent Fox.

; and Mazza was in the kitchen, which seemed to be his favorite place these days.

Suddenly, Vincenzo stood up to turn on the television and switched to one of the news channels. The reporter was reporting an opinion poll conducted earlier in the day.

The opposition candidate had scored over fifty percent of the general opinion votes. The result spelled bad news for them. Public opinion revealed that the most favorable candidate was the opposition.

“F**k! How the hell did we manage to score below average?” Alonzo muttered.

“Well, luckily for us, this isn’t the election results,” reminded Vincenzo. “I don’t think we can win this if we continue to fight fair.”

“You are right,” Piccolo agreed.

“Fine, then let’s dig to uncover any electoral misconduct of the opposition and publicize it!” Alonzo said.

“I’ve already done that; there is nothing to hold against them,” Vincenzo said. “They appear to be clean as a whistle.”

“No one is as clean as a whistle,” Alonzo argued.

“I think to avoid the political stress; you should just take up Mariyanna’s offer!” Piccolo said.

“I’ve told you already I’ll not agree to that,” Alonzo said firmly. He held his face in his palm.

“Need I remind you that the King brought you into this for a reason?” Piccolo said. “The King will not take it very likely with you if he loses the election.”

“We can’t fight with the Russian mob,” Vincenzo said softly. “Other families will come for us. Negotiation is acceptable, but anything else is not an option.”

“Yeah, but they wouldn’t take money,” Alonzo said and Piccolo frustratedly. Alonzo wondered what else he could trade apart from his body. Time was running out.

The following evening, he agreed to meet with Mariyanna at a hotel to discuss. She refused to meet up anywhere else. From the get-go, she was seductive. Alonzo found this revolting.

“Glad you could make it,” Mariyanna said, trying to caress him openly. She knew he would resist her, but she only needed a split moment to get incriminating pictures.

“Don’t touch me like that,” Alonzo said.

“Okay fine,” Mariyanna said. “Fine, I get it; you are in love with my sister. Just have dinner with me, and let’s get to know each other better. I will help you win the elections, but of course, I’ll think of something else to get in exchange for my good deed.”

Alonzo exhaled with relief. He wondered what had changed her mind, but he didn’t care. Dinner with his mate’s sister was innocuous. Mariyanna spoke less of herself. Instead, she talked about her sister more, trying to downsize Alyona.

“Can we talk less about Alyona?” Alonzo said with a contemptuous smile.

“I thought the last time we spoke, you wanted to get to know more about her,” Mariyanna said, acting like she was doing it at his request.

“I do,” Alonzo said. “Let’s focus on you tonight, though.”

After dining, she accompanied him to where his car was parked. She asked for a hug, and Alonzo, after thinking twice, decided to oblige. She pressed firmly to his body, and he cringed.

Alonzo never saw the man lurking in the dark, taking pictures of the moment. Neither did he see the mischievous grin playing twistedly on Mariyanna’s lips after he had left.

The next day, Mariyanna paid another guy to act as a double. The guy got the kind of dress Alonzo was wearing for the meeting.

Then they pretended to have s*x while the same cameraman filmed them. Mariyanna’s musky scent intoxicated the guy. He wondered if she might be feeling horny. He thought he could get past the acting and penetrate Mariyanna, but she hit him with her knee on the crotch, making him regret his action. She left him writhing in pain and tossed some cash for him.

The air outside was cold. Mariyanna felt her p***y throbbing. She cussed the weather for this and went back inside the hotel room. She found the guy on his feet, and she finished the business. They spent the night together, and by the following morning, she left before he woke up.

Leonid Kuznetsov and the others were waiting for her. Of course, Alyona would be considered the most suitable candidate for the underboss position. Mariyanna later obliged their choice. She was glad to hear that Alyona wouldn’t fuss about her becoming Don.

However, she picked out the new consigliere herself. Also, she reminded herself that Alyona was still to be considered a threat.

Sooner or later, Mariyanna thought she would have to eliminate her sister. In the meantime, she wanted to appear as obliging as possible.
