Chapter 18

Skylar's POV

After our transformations we went back to the cabin and went to sleepand I dreamt about the four elements and a few other symbols andthen my dream changed. I was surrounded by blackness when all of asudden I hear a baby crying so I decide to follow the sound lookingaround to try and replace the crying baby but I can't replace it all I can see isblack before I awake with a start as I run to the bathroom and throw upeverything that was in my system which wasn't much since we hadbeen asleep for like a day and a half. I flush the toilet, brush my teethand wash my face before I head back into my bedroom and see Jacesitting there staring at me looking concerned.

"Are you alright love, you've been getting sick on and off for a whilenow should we call the pack doctor and get you checked out?" Jaceasks me looking very concerned with my well being.

"No don't call the pack doctor all the way out here I'm sure I'll be fine, itwas probably just from the stress of the transformation” I say to himtrying to convince him I really was alright even though part of me didn'teven believe a word I told him. I grabbed a towel and went into theshower to wash off the smell of dirt and sweat. When I was finished Iwrapped my towel around me and when I looked at my reflection in themirror I noticed something that wasn't there before. In the middle ofmy chest I noticed I had a black heart with a red star in the middle of itas I stood there staring at it and touching it I realize it looks like Jace'sand like the mark my wolf had on her chest. I leave my bathroom andget dressed in a black lace bra with matching panties, a black tank topwith a white skull and red rose on it, and some black jogging pantsbefore I leave my room and head for the kitchen knowing that's whereJace was. As I round the corner and go into the kitchen I replace Jacegetting out drinks and some snacks for our TV and movie day, when hehears me come into the kitchen he turns around and looks right at mychest and the mark that was suddenly there.

"Nice mark it's the same one your wolf had on her chest the other nightand it's similar to mine" Jace says to me lifting his shirt up to show me asimilar mark on his chest. The only difference was that his mark was abright red star with a black heart in the middle of it.

"It's the opposite of mine. I guess it makes sense since we are matesand all" I say checking out my gorgeous mates mark and his sexy assbody before he finally puts his shirt down and we head into the livingroom to spend the day together while the twins are out doing somegrocery shopping and getting other things they want or need

We spend all day together lounging around the cabin watching TV andmovies and going for the occasional walk outside. I go to reach for myglass of water and take a drink out of it, when nothing comes out I lookat the cup and realize it's frozen solid. I sat there staring at the cup for alittle bit before it melts and steam is coming off of it. All of a sudden itdawns on me that I can control the elements. I look over to Jace to tellhim when I see him looking at me with the same shocked expression onhis face as he was watching what I was doing. He grabs the cup fromme and makes the water start to boil and then he makes it start to cooland eventually freezes it solid as he turns the glass upside down andturning it this way and that examining his handy work as a grins at me."Hey cool we can control the elements this is awesome" he saysgrinning widely at me

"Yeah this is going to make pranking people even more fun and make ita lot easier to pull some pranks off and to make doing some thingseasier as well.” I smile back at him laughing. For the past 2 weeks westayed at the cabin getting the hang of our wateryice, fire, wind, andearth powers. At least everyday I would prank the twins at least once toget them back for the stuff they would try to pull on me. Jace and I alsonoticed that we had even better eyesight, hearing and sense of smellwhich will come in handy. Once Jace and I were confident that we werein complete control of our powers we packed up our things andheaded back to the pack house.

V's POV

A little over 3 weeks ago my little spy informed me that my special littleSkylar had completed the mating process with the disgusting so calledmate of hers. I wished I would be the one to mate with her to bring herpowers forth but oh well. Once I found that out I knew that she wouldbe going through her transformation on the next full moon which wasin about 3 weeks from now. I had already left them a note warningthem I would claim her as mine and I plan on making good on thatthreat soon, I just have to figure out a way to get rid of that mate ofhers somehow because once he is gone she will be free to be claimedby another wolf and I will claim her mind, body and soul and she will bethe one to bear my pups as soon as her bond to him is gone and she’sin my grasp.

Three weeks later my spy had informed me that Skylar was taken fromthe pack house and was brought somewhere far from the others so thatshe couldn't accidentally hurt anyone so I told my spy to inform meonce they had returned. I've been waiting around for word of theirreturn for 2 weeks now and I finally hear that they are back and now Ican set my plans into motion. Seeing as it's going to take some time toget things ready to be able to claim Skylar Rose the legendary HellHound herself as mine and I will have her for all of eternity.
