Jace's POV

"Now all we have to do is tell the pack if they haven't figured it out yetsince I can already smell you but I do have an enhanced sense of smell,I'm sure some of the other pack members can smell it on you toothough. Now that we know what we are having we can start todecorate the nursery right away.” I look to my mate excitedly and shejust smiles back at me as we hold hands and head back to the packhouse. Once we got back to the house I called everyone outside to thestage in the back yard where entire pack meetings are held, wheneveryone arrived I clear my throat getting everyone's attention before Ispeak to them.

"Now I'm sure you are wondering why I called this pack meeting. Well Iknow that some if not a lot of you have probably guessed that Skylar isin fact pregnant with my child and we will be having a baby girl. Iexpect you all to embrace and protect her as if she was your own child.Now that is all thank you this meeting is adjourned.” I sat to them all asI hear everyone saying congratulations and how happy they were for usand how they can't wait to meet her and how we are going to beexcellent parents. Skylar and I head inside after everyone else went theirseparate ways and I made dinner for my mate which consisted of salad,rice, and chicken breast cooked in cream of chicken soup and toppedwith shredded cheese and some steamed veggies, and for dessert Itook Sky out for some ice cream and we talked about everything wewere going to do to get ready for our little girl.

It's been about a week since we had told the pack about our littlebundle of joy. I wake up before Skylar like usual since she needs all theextra sleep sine our little pup likes to zap all of her energy all day long. Iwas headed out to get some breakfast for my mate from her favouriteplace and when I returned with the food I could smell a rogues stenchthen I noticed the note on the front door as I walk up to it I gently rip itoff of the door. As soon as I take the note off of the door I getbombarded by my patrols saying that they have all spotted roguesaround our borders watching us but not attacking through the mindlink.

“Everyone calm down and deal with them all like usual and always stayon guard. I will be staying close to the pack house to protect Skylar" Itell them through the link and I get a bunch of "Yes Alpha’ in responseto what I just told them. I head back into the pack house and put thefood I bought on a tray and bring it to my room and place it on ourbed for Skylar to have once she was out of the shower. I leave my roomand head down the hall to my office so I don't disturb her while sheeats. Once I sit in my chair I finally open and read the note that waspinned to my door as it reads.

“My Dearest Skylar

I am sad to hear that you have fully mated with that so called mate ofyours, but I am glad that you have finally come into your full powers.Also a little birdie has told me that you are pregnant with that muttsoffspring, but don't worry my love you won't have to worry about thatabomination or that false mate of yours for very much longer as I willbe coming for you soon. I have a plan to make you mine and I havealready set it in motion, you will be mine and there is no running fromit, I will make sure of it. If you try to fight back I will kill every singleperson who comes between me and what is rightfully mine. The rogueattacks are just the beginning just so you know. I will be in contact soonuntil then my lovely Skylar.

After reading what that stupid bastard wrote to the love of my life, themother of my child. He will never have her and he will never come nearor do anything to my daughter, I will make damn sure of that as Icrumple the paper in my hand. I don't tear it to shreds like I would liketo because I know Skylar will want to read it even though she ispregnant and I don't want to cause her any unnecessary stress but shehas a right to know that this V person has reached out again. After Icalm myself down as much as I can I mind link my beta Lucas, mygamma Jasper, and my delta Alex.

"Lucas, Jasper, and Alex I need all three of you to come to my officeright away" I tell them

"Yes Alpha" They all say in unison through the link.

Once everyone was in the room I show them the note I found on thefront door and after they passed it to each other after reading it I couldtell that they were all livid.

"Who is this fucking asshole anyways?" Alex asks as the other 2 just nodtheir heads in agreement trying to keep their wolves under control.

"I don't fucking know. Lucas I want you to get word out and try to replaceout who this fucking bastard is and why he's doing this now" Iask/demand him he just nods and leaves the room to start replaceing outany and all information he can replace out. I then look over to the twinsand see they are truly just as mad as I am.

"From now on when I am not with Skylar I want one or both of you withher at all times. Also I would like one of you to contact our witch andget her here as soon as possible” I ask/tell them they nod and leave theroom to do what I had asked of them. Once that is all taken care of Igrab the note and put it in my pocket before I go back to my bedroomto check on Skylar. When I walk into my room I see Sky sitting on thebed rubbing her belly while she finishes her food while watching TV. Iwalk over to her and sit beside her on the bed and kiss her temple."Hello gorgeous how are my girls doing?" I ask her making her smile"Hi my sexy beast, I am doing fine and your little girl won't stop movingaround. So what's on the agenda for today?" She asks me

"Well there is one thing I have to show you but other then that I'm allyours today and we can go and do whatever you like my love.” I tell herwhich gets her excited to spend the day with me.

"Okaii so give me the bad news first. Then we are going to pick out acolour for our baby girls room and we are going to have some lunchwhile making a list of things we are going to need to get for her, andwe also have to figure out a name for her but we can do that anotherday" She says smiling at me looking very excited and hopeful that itmade me feel bad about having to ruin her good mood with thatstupid note.

"Alright that sounds perfect to me. I have one condition though, Iwould like to go and do everything else first and have a nice day outwith you doing baby things and when we get back we will discuss thenews I have to tell you later okay" I tell her and she just smiles and nodsher head agreeing. We head out the door excited to be spending timetogether and starting on getting things ready for our baby girl. I grabSkylar by the hand and we head out for what seems like the last day ofnormalcy before all hell breaks loose around us.
