Chapter 7

Skylar's POV

After replaceing out that Jace is my second chance mate I freak out andrun out of his office afraid that he's going to reject me as well, I run tothe only place I like to go to be alone. When I get tot the clearing that'sonly a mile behind the pack house I stand there in shock and look up atthe night sky and cry. I knew Jace had followed me and I didn't reallycare I just hugged myself and stood there sniffling from the tears whenI hear him slowly approaching me as he says.

“Darling why did you run away from me?” I heard him ask slowly andgently trying to not scare me into running away again

“Because I know what you were going to do I knew that you were goingto reject me just like he did because who could ever want someone likeme?” I said insecurely as I started crying again

“I would never ever reject you love, you are the most beautiful, sexy,confident, and perfect person I know and I am extremely grateful thatyou are my mate “cause I wouldn't want anyone else to be my mate butyou, no one could or would ever measure up to you your perfect.” Hesaid tilting my face up to look into his so that I could see that he wastelling me the truth and then he said something that showed me justhow true his words were

“I, Jace Miller, accept you Skylar Rose as my mate and future Luna ofthe Night Shade Pack.” Jace said lovingly and nervously probably notknowing what I would say or how I was going to react.

As I stood there staring at him in bewilderment I hugged him andwhispered into his shoulder the one thing I knew would make himextremely happy “I, Skylar Rose, accept you Jace Miller as my mate andAlpha.” As I felt his hands slowly move up my body from my waistmaking sparks fly from everywhere he touched me until he had a handcupping my cheek and the other one tangled in my blood red hair.Then the next thing I knew he was kissing me softly and then I kissedhim back happily deepening the kiss as he pulled me to him even more.When he pulled away he put his forehead against mine we werepanting for air admiring each others perfect facial features before wewalked back to the pack house hand in hand.

When we got back he lead me back to his office and sat me on his lapin his chair so I had my back resting against his chest and he washugging my waist with his face burried in the crook of my neck andbreathing in my scent in like I was going to somehow vanish at anymoment. I could feel him relaxing a bit before he tensed up beforeasking me a question.

“So how do you feel about us being mates” Jace asked me hesitantlywhich had me on edge thinking that something bad was going tohappen

I told him that I was very happy that we were mates and how I wasgrateful to have him in my life which made me blush like a tomato.When I felt him tense up more I turned my body so I was sittingsideways on his lap with my head in his shoulder so I could breath inhis scent which relaxed me before I asked him what was wrongknowing he had something he had to tell me and I knew whatever itwas, was probably going to upset me which was making him nervousand tense.

“Uhhhh....I have something I need to tell you hun” he says nervouslylooking at the ground which is starting to make me nervous

“Okaii what is it baby I can handle whatever you have to tell me.” I sayto him while I put my hand to his cheek to hopefully make him relax alittle bit, but little did I know that what he had to tell me would be thelast thing I wanted to ever hear EVER.

“Alright now darling please don't get mad at me but we got a callabout going and helping train a pack who had been having increasedrogue attacks.” he says to me still looking at the ground

I'm confused by what he says until I demand him to tell me what pack itis that we have to go and help and when he says that it's the SilverMoon Pack my old pack my heart drops into my stomach. I get up offhis lap and pace the room pissed off and before I can even think andcontrol what I'm doing I growl and punch a hole into the wall acrossfrom his deck which startles him and he looks up at me pulling myhand out of the wall I don't even feel the pain of my hand because I'mso blinded by anger. The next thing I know Jace isn't sitting in his chairanymore instead he's hugging me to him and as I stand there with myface in his chest I breath in his amazing scent and begin to calm down.When I calm down fully he guides me to the couch that he has in hisoffice and he takes my injured hand and examines it and tells me thatnothing is broken thankfully and that all the little scratches will behealed in a day or two.

When I finally regain my composure I ask him when they want us thereand he tells me that we have to be there on Monday which gives us theweekend to get ready which gives me time to calm down some. As wesat there cuddling Jace finally takes a deep breath before he startstalking.

“You know you don't have to come with us if you don't feel thatcomfortable with going there.” he says to me

“I know but I am the best fighter in the pack so I have to go no matterhow I feel about them it's my duty as a warrior and as the future Luna,plus you're my mate where ever you go I go.” I say back to him whichmakes him very happy to hear me say that I'm going with him. After wecuddle for a little while longer we go down to the kitchen and havesome dinner and then watch The Cabin In The Woods, when our movieends I let out a very big yawn and get up to head to bed and Jace getsup takes my hand and we start heading up the stairs. Once we get tomy room Jace pins me to the door with his hand on either side of myhead trapping me between the door and his muscular body.

As I'm looking up at him my heart starts to race and my breathingbecomes labored like I just finished running a marathon and the nextthing I know his eyes start to darken with lust and he crashes his lipsinto mine and our lips mold together in sync. When he licks my bottomlip 1 grant his tongue entrance to my mouth and he dominates the kissdeepening it even further while pressing his body against minepressing me even more into the door as his hands start to roam aroundmy body and finally landing at my waist gripping it hard which makesme moan with desire as I do that he lets out a small grow! of approval.When he gripped my waist I slowly moved my hand up his rippled armsand around his neck entangling my hands in his wavy black hairbringing him even closer to me if that was even possible

We finally pull apart with black lust filled eyes and panting for breathwhen I finally say goodnight to him and try to go into my room. Hestops me from opening the door and looks at me and gives me lightpecks before grabbing my hands. He slightly tightens his grip on myhands and pulls me from my door and to the room at the end of thehall. We enter the room and he shuts the door behind us, as I lookaround I see that the walls are white with black dressers and a king sizebed in the middle of the room with black covers.

“Wow it's huge and I love the white and black theme you got going on”I say

“Thank you and don't worry we won't be doing anything but sleeping, Iwon't force you to do anything you don't want to do.” Jace tells mewhile hugging me from behind giving me love kisses on my neckmaking a small moan escape from my lips.

“Thank you I appreciate it, I need to go and get something from myroom I'll be right back I promise.” I say kissing him on the cheek. Beforehe could protest I was already heading out the door and down the hallto my room to take the quickest shower I have ever done and I go intomy closet. Once I get into my closet I look through my clothes and replacesome lace underwear to put on under my pajama booty shorts and Iput on the matching bra and tank top before brushing my hair andheading back to Jace's room. When I get back to his room I walk in andsee him coming out of his closet with no shirt on and just some greysweat pants that are hanging very low as he dries his wet hair with thetowel he's holding. I let out a small growl of approval and he snap hishead up looking at me with lust, happiness, and approval at what I'mwearing, I walk over to the bed and climb in under the covers with himand as soon as I lay down he wraps his arms around my waist and pullme into his bare chest and whispers goodnight into my ear before weboth fall into a deep peaceful sleep.
