The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 106 Book 2 Chapter 38

“According to the results…you’re approximately 11 weeks pregnant…the baby is okay, but if you’d look at the screen, you’d realize…” He pointed to the screen and Celeste’s clueless eyes followed his hand. “You’d not only see one fetus, but two…it’s hard to see…if I couldn’t hear both heartbeats, I wouldn’t be able to see it myself…but you’ll be having twins…” It’s going to be a bit complicated since check-ups will be a bit more mandatory for you…the twins are currently sharing a placenta and that can sometimes get dangerous. Other than that, they have stable heartbeat, they seem healthy. Continue to eat, it’d be good to eat what you crave since it will help to keep you calm, you’re not suppose to overthink or really stress over anything and stay close to your mate…that helps.”

He looked over at Zillon. “Firstly, congratulations Alpha…you’re probably happy, any man would be happy but things will get even more complicated from here. You can’t put her under any form of stress, it’s going to be a hassle to provide her all her cravings, all the attention she’ll need and you’ll be tormented by the mood swings that are sure to come. You have a pack to take care of as well, it can damage your mental health.”

Zillon shook his head, running his hand over Celeste’s stomach. “I can manage, she’s back now Doctor Roberts…my mental health is totally fine and will stay that way as long as she remains by my side.”

“Alright…I guess you guys will need your privacy…I’ll be somewhere outside if you need me and I’ll give you a copy of the ultrasound when you’re ready to leave.”

Zillon nodded and the doctor walked out, leaving them alone in the room.

Zillon was the first to open his mouth. “I guess Xavier really didn’t lie…we’re having twins. Two babies! Isn’t that f*cking awesome?”

Celeste shrugged, her eyes fixated on the screen. “As long as they don’t turn out like Celia and I.”

“Celeste…”

“It’s fine…they’ll probably be friends until they die, best friends…you know? The same rank, none will feel at a higher standard than the other and even if one’s weaker, we’ll treat them the same…there won’t be a favourite, right? None will be neglected…both will be loved.”

“Yes Celeste…you know I’m not like that, at least not anymore. I criticized you about being weak before, but who’s fault was it that you were an omega? It wasn’t yours, the moon goddess made you the way you are and I love you for you…I can do the same with our children.”

“That’s a promise, right?”

“Yes, it’s a promise that I intend to keep and I know I’ve said it before, but I’m sorry you had to endure all that you have. Your parents neglected you and yet you pulled through, I don’t understand how you did it because I was always the favourite child. That must’ve been what gave Xavier more reasons to leave, I wouldn’t want that happening to my future babies because I know that I’ll regret it in the end.”

“Good…” Celeste looked towards him, smiling innocently. “Then from now on, no more knots?”

Zillon nodded with a chuckle. “No more knots… that’s another promise, one that I’ll be breaking when I feel the need to.”

“Are you just plain evil or just joking?”

“I’m plain evil, I thought we concluded that in the cave.”

“Right…”

Celeste shoved his hand away from her stomach and pulled down her blouse as she sat up. “This makes me want to see Celia…”

“Celia…she’s hopeless, I can’t believe she was wishing you’d never return. She knows something, but she won’t tell me and if she won’t tell me, I don’t think she’ll ever tell you.”

“Celia isn’t as evil and spoilt as you think, you know? She does things for attention, things that she thinks will benefit her. But she isn’t all bad, I know how she is, she can be selfless as well as selfish, she can be cruel and she can be nice. She’s complicated, so hard to understand, but I think she’s doing it for a reason, a reason that is solely beneficial to her…she’s being selfish right now and we can’t judge her because we don’t know why.” Celeste shuffled off the bed and onto the floor. “I want to see her tomorrow and I’ll see Xavier after… regardless of what you have to say.”

“I think you’ve gotten too bold, I don’t like it.”

“You’ll have to live with it, I can even throw punches now…believe me, I trained hard.”

“Why didn’t you throw me one when I was sinking my teeth into your neck this morning.”

“I would’ve if you hadn’t held onto my hands.”

“You’re kidding, right?”

Celeste shrugged. “Probably not.”

“I don’t know who has been giving you punching lessons, but it seem to be messing with your head. You’re not seeing Xavier tomorrow…perhaps Celia, but Xavier? Nope.”

“B-But you said you’d prove he’s lying to me…you said you’d show me his true colours.”

“I did say so, but did you hear what Doctor Roberts said? No overthinking, no stress.”

“But I want to know…I have to know.”

“Celest—”

“Please…”

Zillon sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You’re still as stubborn as ever…I don’t know why I brought that up, I’m the stupid one.”

“Can I go?”

“Celeste, you’re going to cry…”

“And so? What if it turns out that he isn’t as bad as you said? Even if he is, I still need to thank him for keeping me safe and teaching me how to throw punches.”

“I’ll tell him thanks for you, I’ll be going down there tomorrow.”

“And I’ll be coming with you.”

“No, the f*ck you’re not.”
