The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 110 Book 2 Chapter 42

“Zillon…” Williams bowed his head in a formal greeting. “What is it that you want?”

“Sorry for the intrusion, but I came here for something important.”

“Alright then son, I have no reason to stop you when you use the word important…go ahead.”

“Honey what are you saying? How can yo—!”

“Did we not already search the room Nadine? If there was anything in there, we’d have found it.”

“As always, your honesty never disappoints, Williams… You’ve always been like that around father, if you stole a candy and he asked about it, you’d tell him it was you and if he hyped about his looks, you’d always be the one to break it to him that he doesn’t have much.”

“If you’re complimenting my honesty, why is that my mate loathes it?”

“Perhaps because it’s really not a nice trait to have, it could get you into some serious problem… especially since you’ve done so many people wrong, including your own daughter…you guys were adamant on her remaining the pitiful girl she used to be that even when she was laying unconscious on an hospital bed you tried to bring her down. You didn’t visit to check if she’s fine, you visited to make sure that I was still into your other daughter, right?”

Williams shrugged. “Did we not love her enough? Well not love, but we were forced to take care of her for as long as 18 years and we did…we would’ve done so far longer if she hadn’t taken what belonged to someone else. If I had known this would’ve happened, I wouldn’t have made her move in with you that day…but it happened already, she said it was mandatory that you’d choose her and we doubted that wholeheartedly, but unfortunately, she made it happen and now my most prized possession is laying on the cold prison bed…all because of her…a no good, a weakling.”

“If dad heard you, he’d probably stripe your throat.”

Williams chuckled. “He wouldn’t do such a thing when he’s the same god damn thing…why do you think we’re bestfriends?”

“My father is nothing like you… you’re sick, so power hungry that you’d kill your own daughter in order to gain more.”

“Well if you consider us sick…you’ll consider him even sicker one day…but who am I to out my best friend to his son…? Go search for whatever it is that you want, I’ll stop holding up your time now.”

Zillon glared at him, but looked down at Celeste when she squeezed at his hand. “Let’s… let’s just go, Celia’s room is right next to this one.”

Although Zillon would like to continue the conversation with her father, he saw the anxiousness that had wrinkles forming between her eyebrows. He knew she didn’t want to be here, he knew she wanted to leave, and what kind of mate would he be if he ignored her?

Sighing, he turned to Liam and Fredd, “Let’s go, guys.”

He continued on his way, passing by the former beta with a look that could kill. He pushed the door next to his open and stepped inside, taking Celeste with him. Fredd and Liam stepped in a second later, both sighing out a long breath of air. “That was awkward…I bet it was torturing for poor little Kitcat.”

“Shut up and search.” He looked towards Celeste. “Ignore him, don’t talk to him until he formally apologizes for what he said. For now, you can sit down…I’m sure you’re overwhelmed.”

“I want to help…”

“I know, but you’ve honestly helped enough…you did your part…”

“Then why can’t I help some more?”

“Alright, I won’t force you to sit if you don’t want to, help if you want.”

“That sounds surprising when it’s coming out of your mouth.”

“Liam…” Zillon warned, his eyes fluttering around the room he’d been in just a couple of times. “Start with the closet and be quiet while doing so. You….”

He pointed towards Fredd. “Check under the bed, beneath the mattress and the bedside table, I’ll search her dresser drawers.”

“Then what about me?”

“There’s a chair right there, search it by sitting down.”

“Zillon!”

Zillon chuckled. “I’m kidding, Kitten. Go help Liam search the closet…he’ll get the perfect time to apologize.”

Celeste looked towards Liam. “He doesn’t really have to…”

“He does…from now on, stop forgiving people so easily…make them work for it as much as I did.”

“Is that what’s bothering you? The fact that she took so long to forgive you even when you were begging and I said literally nothing and I’m forgiven?”

“I’m going to fight you if you open your mouth again and it isn’t an apology that slips out, Liam.”

“Ye right…” Liam grumbled, pulling the closet doors open.

Zillon glowered at him. “Go on, Celeste. Show him two middle fingers if you have to.”

Celeste pouted as she walked over to the closet. He forced her to come here and now he was forcing her to accept an apology. What else would he force her to do today?

Sighing, she stood beside Liam, “you don’t have to if you don’t want to.”

“Alright Kitcat…”

“Stop calling me that.”

“So you allow Zillon to call you Kitten and I can’t call you Kitcat?”

“That’s becaus—”

His face changing from playful to stern had Celeste ceasing midway in her statement.

“I’m sorry for what I said earlier..and I’m not apologizing because your stupid alpha told me to. I really shouldn’t have said that…it was unfair of me to do so, whatever happened is our fault as much as it yours.” He threw an arm over her shoulder, just like he did the first time they met. “We’re good now, right?”

Celeste nodded.

“Then how about we start searching then?”

The search was impossible, they looked everywhere and yet there was no box, no darn crate. Everybody was now sprawled out around the room as though they owned it. Liam laid on the floor, Zillon sat like a tired dog on the chair and Fredd laid almost lifeless on the bed. She was the only one standing, the only one who really seemed serious about replaceing the thing…

Glowering at them all, she sighed, looking towards the now empty dresser then towards the bedside table and then the boxes that were under the bed. They really did search everywhere…the closet was just as empty as the dresser drawers and still there was no sign of it.

Celeste couldn’t figure out where it was…she knew Celia and her had an hiding spot for it, but she couldn’t pinpoint where exactly they’d hid it as kids, she couldn’t remember, she couldn’t…

Celeste’s eyes widened, her legs taking her back over to the bed “I think…I think I know where it is.”

Immediately all three men jumped up, hurrying over to her as though the life that had left their bodies had just been restored.

“Where?”

“Well as kids, Celia and I…”
