“Cool? Just that?” He teased, bumping her nose lightly with his thumb

She mumbled some incoherent words he couldn’t quite make any sense of He closed the door behind him and laid her gently on the bed. Her eyes fluttered open immediately and she locked disoriented for a moment before her eyes settled on him

“When did you get back?” She asked softly

“Minutes ago of course, I couldn’t leave you there app by yourself, could 17 He teased, winking at her.

He kissed the tip of her nose “It’s fine baby, I won’t die of hunger overnight so go on and sleep”

“Really? She asked drowsily and slept off before he could think of a reply

She snored softly and there was a drool just below her lower lip. He smiled, replaceing the action cute. What a peculiar girl she was, he thought to himself Sighing, he pulled out of his clothes and got into bed beside her. They’ve not had a deep, heart to heart talk recently and they needed to. Though they were enjoying this fake marriage life and their sex life was good, but the reason they had this agreement in the first place had not been sorted out, his baby. He would table the matter before her somehow soon. Well, he really needed to sleep now, tomorrow would sort out itself

“Where are we going?” She asked, as she finished with the last touches of her makeover.

“You’ll see “Liam intoned and walked over to her. He pecked her on both cheeks and smiled “You look impeccable and beautiful as always, Mrs Blake”

She blushed but managed a comment too “I would say the same thing about you, Mr Blake

“Shall we go please?” He asked, his eyes were filled with mystery and suspense.

“Definitely my Lord “She teased and snaked her hand under his arm.

Together, they went out. He personally gave his driver the night off, saying he wanted to be alone with his woman. He drove them to the airport and she frowned. Were they travelling? Why didn’t him inform her beforehand so she could prepare? She wondered. Then slowly, a jet came into her line of vision. and she saw the name imprinted boldly on it BLAKE‘.

Her mouth opened in awe and surprise “You own this?!” She asked, marveled.

He nodded proudly “Yup” He replied, popping the ‘p‘. There was no pilot or flight attendants in sight so she turned to him.

“You’re flying this?” She asked in wonder

He looked amused That’s why it’s called a private jet, I guess ”

He opened the door for her and she hopped in immediately. Then he did her safety belts and when his hands brushed her stomach accidentally, she inhaled sharply.

He ignored her reaction No escaping now” He said softly and patted her hair. Then he said the speaker (Over the radio) July 1-2-2-4 Charlie Tango, ready to depart”

From the other end, a voice was heard Roger that, Charlie Tango, Your flight from Mexico to Houston is cleared *

Carla turned to him, shock written all over her face Houston? That’s where we are going?!”

Liam chuckled “Yeah”

Carla clasped her hand over her mouth to stop herself from screaming “Oh my God! I wasn’t expecting this when you said we’re going on a date!”

She let the cool night air blow her face and smiled happily. This was the best surprise she had ever had in her life. He was so thoughtful, how had he known she was aching to see her mother? Wait, he brought her here on a date and not to see her mother, right? Even if he didn’t bring her here for that. they could still go and see her, after all they were in Houston, she thought to herself and smiled, feeling her face stretched by the action.

Liam took a glance at her “A penny for your thoughts?”

She sighed contentedly “Are we going to see mother too?” Her eyes were wide with hope and Liam knew he couldn’t ignore that and dashed her hope.

He smiled” Anytime you would like, but we should fly back tomorrow, I have some meetings to attend on Monday”

“Okay it’s cool “She said and turned to the window “Let’s do this baby!” She screamed and Liam laughed, feeling as though he could see the excitement emanating from her body

They landed landed in Houston earlier than she thought and Liam escorted her to one of his penthouse. Carla looked at him, question written in her eyes and Liam smirked.

“What?” He asked, his eyes twinkling

She blinked her eyes “What?”

“You’re staring at me ” He replied lightly and opened the entrance door for her. She mumbled her thanks and he stared at her, expecting her to say something else.

“No I’m not!” She finally replied.
