The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) -
Chapter 48.
Savage
POV.
It has been weeks of constant calls to the Moretti's for updates on my daughter and woman. My mom and dad have also been calling, and each time we deal with Teagan. Gianni sends me pictures of them both. Just seeing them both makes me smile. I send messages every day to Angel; she reads them but never responds. I have left voicemails too. But nothing, I won't stop though.
I'm so proud of Angel. Gianni sent me a video of her walking and holding on during one of her sessions, the sheer concentration on her face, the way her tongue poked out of the side of her mouth, every grunt, strain, and grimace. But the smile on her face when she completed it made my heart swell with pride.
I even cheered when she got to the end. Everyone in the clubhouse looked at me like I'd lost my mind. But whatever, if I can't be there in person giving her the encouragement, I will do it from afar.
"Son. Can you come to the office when you get a minute, please?" My dad says from the side and I look up at him and nod my head. I got back a couple of hours ago from being on a run for the club to deal with the aftermath of the sister club and their betrayal.
Dad is still president for the time being. I spiralled out of control and started drinking heavily, anything to fill that void in my chest, but it doesn't work. We also have new club girls, but I stay away from them. Alessa and her team pop in from time to time for updates. Alessa even vetted the new girls for us, claiming that men only think with their dicks when it comes to fresh pussy. My mom was behind her all the way, so was I, if I'm being honest.
The new club girls know to leave the members who are married or in committed relationships alone and if any brother who is married or in a committed relationship tries anything with them, they are to come to me directly. We aren't like the other clubs; we respect our ole ladies and those who are potential ole ladies. So there will be no cheating in this club. Any member found doing it is dealt with and their woman is informed and it is then up to her to make the decision to either end the relationship or make him suffer.
I stand and walk to the office and take a seat. My mom is here as well. She is sat on his lap. She smiles at me and I smile back. Even though I know it's all fake. I'm not truly happy. I've even considered going nomad.
Nomads are brothers who aren't tied to any club but can be called on when shit hits the fan. Rogue riders as it were. But I shut that down as soon as the thought occurred. I can't leave my princess's that would be selfish of me.
"We ride out of tomorrow morning. You are needed with us." My dad starts and I look at him and nod my head. I've just got back, but whatever. I know why he is doing this. He is keeping me busy. So I don't go to the Moretti mansion and get myself killed. What he doesn't know can't hurt him.
"Where?" I ask, not really caring. I have become a loose cannon lately. They have been sending me to deal with people who are trying to cause trouble. The amount of times I have come back here covered in blood, I have lost count. I always ride past Angel's old house in the hopes that this is all a bad fucking dream. But I know it's not.
"To see your daughter, that's where." My mom says and I look at her like I've just been slapped. She smiles at me and I stand up.
"You mean... I get to see them?" I ask in disbelief. This is like Christmas, birthdays, all the holidays have come at once.
"Only Rebel. Angel isn't ready to see anyone just yet. We will be staying in the guest house on the Moretti grounds. You, me and your mom. Teagan called me last night. Angel is more than willing to allow us to see Rebel. Angel is still healing, and not all of her memories have come back. So we leave at six. We will get there for just after nine." My dad says and I wipe the tears away. God, how I have missed them both.
At least I can see Rebel. Angel maybe in time. I understand she is still healing and no doubt seeing me again will cause her distress. As much as I wanted to storm the Moretti mansion to bring them both back. I knew that was a death sentence. But I watched from a far. Gianni helped with that. He had me hidden as I watched like a creep as my daughter ran around playing with the guards. Of course, Boomer and some of the Moretti dogs as well.
"Ok, are we taking the bikes or the SUV?" I ask and mom smiles at me.
"I'm taking the SUV. I have a lot of presents for our little princess, so you and your dad can ride out. Go and pack what you need for the weekend. We will be leaving Sunday night to get back here." She says and I walk to her as she stands and I hug her. My mom is a beautiful soul.
"Thank you mom, thank you dad. I will go and get ready. God, I can't wait to see Rebel again. That little girl is the air I fucking live and breathe." I say and she chuckles, and so does my dad. I turn and walk out of the office and make my way back through the clubhouse, only to stop in my tracks. You can hear a pin drop. Everyone is on edge and with good fucking reason.
I take in the sight before me. I gulp the lump in my throat. My hands begin to sweat as I look at her.
"Hello Ryder." She says, and I swallow the lump in my throat. I step closer to her and stop looking around to make sure everyone else is seeing this as well. All eyes are on her.
"Can I ask why you are here?" I ask her, and she smirks at me as she steps forward with confidence and grace. Yet this woman is dangerous and we all fucking know it. One word, one command, one flick of her fingers, and we will all be dead.
"What, am I not allowed to come here after inviting you into my home? Besides, I thought you might want to see what I have brought you." She says just as I hear a giggle and look down as I drop to my knees and hug her to my chest. "Daddy, I missed you." I kiss her head and look up at Teagan and mouth. Thank you. She nods her head at me.
"Well, she was super excited to see you and so I had the helicopter bring us here. Dont worry, Angel is aware of where she is. It was her idea. Here is her bag. It's up to you if you want to stay here with her or you can come to the compound as planned.
ither way, Rebel wanted to see
you and your family." She says as one of her goons hands me the pink sparkly bag, no doubt filled with
clothes and toys for Rebel.
I stand, bringing my little princess to my hip as I look at Teagan. I take the bag in my free hand.
"If it makes it easier on Angel, we will see her here.don't want Angel to freak out about seeing me. I want to
make this easier on her. She has too much to worry about for the time being, and she needs to be
Lov
comfortable in her home." Ktell her
and she nods her head.
"Ok, that will be fine. Right little princess, you going to spend the weekend with daddy? You be good now, you hear? I love you. And I will see you on Sunday." She gives Rebel a kiss on her head. "Bye nonna. Love you too." Teagan smiles at her and nods her head once at me as she walks away with her men behind her. As soon as they have gone, the entire room breathes a breath of relief. "Daddy. Can I have candy?" I chuckle at her as I kiss her all over her face, just as she squeals.
"Tickles daddy." As I hear a gasp and turn to see my mom with her hands over her mouth.
"Nanna, pop-pop." She wiggles to get down, and she runs to them. Blaze looks at me and nods his head once, and I smile slightly at him. We haven't really spoken since that day on the cliff.
"Oh, my baby. Come ere to nanna. I have baked some cookies. Come and get them." My mom walks off with her as my dad walks to me.
"Want to tell me what happened and how she is here?"
"Teagan brought her in the helicopter. Apparently, Rebel was too excited to wait. So we don't need to go now. We have her until Sunday." I tell him as I watch my blonde-haired girl holding my mom's hand, skipping and talking about Nico and a makeover? "Is Angel ok with this?"
"Yes, I don't want to make any of this
harder on her dad. She is still healing. Angel would have avoided us like the plague. She shouldn't have to hide in her house to avoid seeing me. This way she can relax and
we won't be on tender books around the Moretti's." I tell him and he sighs and claps me on the back.
"I understand. Now where is my grandbaby?" I chuckle as he stalks off after them both into the kitchen when I hear a roar and a giggle.
"Pop-pop, you silly." I chuckle. I look around the room and see the members all smiling at me. It has been so quiet without Rebel here. Coral, Dylan, and baby Joshua moved out with Blaze not long after the baby was born. We agreed they needed their own space. "Give it time, prez. Your girls will come back to you," Hound says from the side and I nod at him as I walk past him to go and see my little princess.
I have time to make up for. I watch from the doorway into the kitchen as Rebel is helping my mom and my dad is being fed cookies. I chuckle.
"What, none for me?" I say, making a sad, pouty face. Rebel climbs down and runs to me with a cookie.
"Lots for you, daddy. I love you." Well, that's all I needed. God, I have missed her and her mom.
But right now I will settle for having my baby girl with me. One out of two isn't bad. I will get Angel back, and soon. I have all the time in the world.
