The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac) -
Chapter 1167
Since their last encounter, Isaac had seemingly vanished off the face of the earth.
Brittany even doubted if he was still in Craneville.
After waiting a few minutes for a response and getting none, she threw caution to the wind, ignoring the possibility her phone could be tapped, and dialed Isaac's number.
It took an eternity for him to pick up.
"Bri?"
Isaac's voice was raspier than usual, as if he hadn't had a good night's sleep in ages.
"Are you okay?" Brittany whispered, lowering her voice even more.
Isaac was far from okay, but he wouldn't admit it. He stood up, stepping away from the crowd into the solitude outside, fishing a cigarette from his pocket and lighting it up before taking a deep drag, "I'm hanging in there." "Did you call because you missed me?"
His tone was nonchalant, shrouded in a cloud of smoke.
Brittany paused, "Did you catch the news?"
"Yeah, I saw it." It had been a long time since Isaac turned to nicotine for solace, but right now, he needed it to stay sharp, "Worried about me?"
"Zakky, are you in trouble?"
Brittany countered.
Knowing he couldn't hide the truth, Isaac didn't bother to, "Noel Salter showed up in Craneville."
"I've been swamped, can't come see you."
Brittany clenched her phone tighter, "Then you—"
"I'm not in any immediate danger. The royal folks wouldn't dare touch me." Isaac's gaze fell, "Have you been sick lately?"
"No, I've been in good health," Brittany let out a sigh of relief, knowing he was safe, "And the baby's been very cooperative."
"That's good. If it gets naughty once it's out, I'll be there to discipline!"
"No way, that's our baby, you can't hit them!" Brittany protested, her maternal instincts kicking in.
Isaac didn't expect her to be so protective, "Alright, your call."
Meanwhile, Noel watched Isaac from across the room, well aware of who was on the other line.
Tallulah, standing to the side, poured him a glass of water, "Noel, have some water."
Though they were married, Tallulah still addressed him by his name.
Noel was used to it by now. He took a sip, "You're heading back to Imperial City tomorrow. Take charge of Grandeur Capital and keep me updated." Tallulah had been with Noel for years, and now as his wife, it made sense for her to oversee Grandeur Capital.
"Understood."
Tallulah, in her sleek black and white suit, exuded a cool elegance, a stark contrast to her demure demeanor in bed.
Noel had had girlfriends while
UT
abroad and had been approached by numerous women upon his return but he mostly kept his distance preferring to avoid the hassle and replaceing most of them uninteresting.
Tallulah was an exception. After they got married and moved in together, their relationship took a new turn. Especially one night after a few drinks, Tallulah showed a side of her Noel had never seen, leading to an unexpected intimacy that solidified their status as a married couple.
Tallulah remained aloof, even after
years with Noel, her demeanor never
warming. Yet, in bed, she was
surprisingly lively, occasionally
leaving marks on Noel's neck after a
passionate night.
Noel, far from being ascetic, let his gaze linger on Tallulah, his Adam's apple bobbing. Dismissing the others, he signaled for her to stay.
Tallulah attempted to leave, but he held her back.
His hand, burning with desire, pulled her closer, capturing her lips in a fierce kiss that mirrored his inherent wildness.
Initially, Tallulah resisted, but soon she grew accustomed to his intensity.
She neither fought nor reciprocated.
Noel didn't mind. Satisfied, he pulled back, his lips glistening, "Wait for me to come back, Tallulah."
Dazed by his proximity, Tallulah lost her usual composure, nodding slightly, "Okay, Noel."
"What did you call me?"
Noel tilted her chin up, reminding her of their more intimate moments, "What should you call me at times like this?"
Blushing furiously, remembering their private encounters, Tallulah whispered, "Master," pleasing Noel immensely. He rewarded her with a gentle kiss, "Good girl."
