"Sure thing."

The diner owner couldn't help but be impressed by them, seeing such a perfectly matched couple was quite rare!

Brittany looked puzzled, "Have we been here before?"

"You used to love it here."

Isaac grabbed some napkins, wiping down the table before sterilizing the utensils with hot water.

The diner owner came over with glasses of iced lemonade, "For you two, we have a special today. Spend over $50 and get 10% off, plus free fruit on the house."

Brittany took a sip of her lemonade, "Thanks so much."

The food arrived quickly.

Isaac waved off the server, preferring to do it himself.

He was a pro at grilling, a skill he honed after discovering Brittany's love for their barbecue nights. From his initial disdain to a deep affection, he had come to enjoy these moments greatly.

The pork belly sizzled on the grill, cut into bite-sized pieces, and dipped in sauce, served with bell peppers, garlic slices, and pickles-every bite was an explosion of juice.

Isaac quickly assembled a bite for Brittany, "Careful, it's hot."

The diner was bustling, nearly full even off-peak, with a lively atmosphere.

Brittany devoured the meat, grease smearing her lips.

Isaac had also ordered a crème brûlée, perfectly caramelized on top, the custard below rich and creamy.

After two servings of pork belly, chicken wings, a salad, and the crème brûlée, Brittany was thoroughly satisfied, dabbing her mouth with a napkin. "I'm stuffed."

Isaac had ordered generously, leaving plenty of food still on the grill.

"It's all yours."

After toiling over the grill for an hour, Isaac was hungry too. Initially not a fan, he'd grown to love these barbecue nights with Brittany.

He tucked in, while Brittany sipped her drink, enjoying every drop.

Their cozy scene didn't go unnoticed, drawing glances from nearby tables.

Suddenly, a girl from the next table stood up, gently tapping Brittany's shoulder, "Excuse me, but it looks like..."

Brittany looked confused, "What's wrong?"

"Look at the floor."

Perplexed, Brittany glanced down to see a puddle of water.

Drip, drip, drip.

Then, she felt a sharp pain, dropping her glass, "Zakky, it hurts!"

"Oh no, your water broke!"

Isaac jumped up, abandoning his

meal to scoop Brittany up and rush outside, the diner owner startled, "Call an ambulance!"

Wa

The nearest hospital was a good distance away, especially during rush hour, driving would take over an hour.

Luckily, they had a driver.

Isaac carried Brittany to the car, barking, "To the hospital, now!"

The driver panicked, "Right away."

As the car sped off, Isaac phoned the hospital to prepare for their arrival, minimizing delays.

Brittany, pale and in pain, couldn't utter a word as her water continued to leak.

The car was filled with her stifled groans.

Isaac remembered what he'd read about childbirth, trying to help Brittany with her breathing to ease the contractions. "Bri, relax, follow my lead-"

Brittany, still somewhat coherent, clung to Isaac's hand, "It hurts."

It really did hurt.

Isaac kissed her gently, "Just hang in there."

The ambulance arrived quickly, and

Isaac helped Brittany inside, wheret

confirmed she was three Copters dilated.

Being her second childbirth, things were moving fast.

Throughout the ride, Brittany clung to Isaac, whimpering in pain. Isaac continuously kissed her, gently soothing her.

Upon reaching the hospital, Brittany

The doctor firmly stopped him, "Mr. Salter, it's best if you stay here."
