Even if Isaac was not the kingpin of Grandeur Capital, he was Grace's golden boy. He could ensure Joie had a place in the industry with a mere wave. Joie's face soured.

"Also, the company has drafted an apology statement. You'll need to share it later."

"I won't."

Joie frowned deeply. "I did nothing wrong. He couldn't resist temptation. Why should I apologize?"

She did not intend to break them up; she only wanted some resources.

In this industry, the body was merely a bargaining chip.

She was not trying to climb the ranks!

Her agent rubbed her temples, muttering to herself, "Don't get angry, don't get angry. Anger causes illness, and no one can replace you. Don't get angry."

After repeating it three times, the agent said, "You must retweet the apology statement. If you don't, the company can't help."

After the agent left, Joie still refused to retweet.

Then the company's big boss personally called, and Joie had no choice but to retweet.

Once the apology was out, it caused a wave of ridicule online.

The director's wife was a famous actress in the industry, and the news of her marriage being intruded upon caused an uproar among her fans.

Frowning deeply, Joie turned off Twitter, dressed up, and drove to the Salter Manor.

News of Joie's scandal was everywhere, and the people at the manor were not spared.

Grace was somewhat incredulous. "Are these reports true?"

How could Joie do such a thing?

Emily had initially had a good impression of Joie.

Over the years, Joie never missed an opportunity to curry favor with Grace, always leaving her in high spirits.

But since the young master stepped down, Joie's visits had become less frequent, and even the gifts she brought were of lower quality.

The Salter family was not short of money. Grace had never looked forward to those luxurious gifts. She understood how people were. She just had not expected Joie to turn her back so quickly. Seeing the news, Emily was stunned momentarily before saying, "Grace, there's supposedly a video. This is most likely true."

Grace could not understand. Why would a good girl become a homewrecker?

While she was worrying, Joie knocked on the door. "Grandma."

Grace put down her phone, signaling for Emily to open the door.

Emily opened the door, and Joie hurried into the living room, throwing herself into Grace's arms and bursting into tears.

"Grandma!"

Seeing Joie so distraught, Grace was somewhat surprised. "Joie, why are you crying so hard?"

Joie, being an actress, could not stop her tears, "Grandma, I'm ruined."

"The scandal is too big..."

"Grandma, I was tricked." Joie twisted the truth, "I thought he was divorced. That's what he told me."

Joie sobbed.

Seeing Joie so upset, Grace stroked her head. "Stop crying. Tell me everything about this."

Joie dried her tears, choking up as she shifted all the blame onto the director and painted herself as innocent. "Grandma, what do I do now? The whole world knows about this. How can I act in the future?" Grace had not expected that Joie had been fooled and felt pity for her. "You rest well for a while; when some time has passed, I will arrange something for you."

Joie had been waiting for these words. She cried in Grace's arms for a long time, softening Grace's heart.

She believed Joie was not a bad child at heart and could not intentionally ruin someone's marriage. Emily stood aside, not saying a word.

Joie stayed at the mansion, chatting and playing chess with Grace as if things were back to normal. That evening, Isaac came with Brittany.

As soon as they stepped into the living room, they heard Joie's voice, filled with excitement.
