The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac) -
Chapter 902
Chapter 902
The atmosphere in the grand hall shifted palpably as all eyes turned to the unfolding drama.
Standing on the white aisle runner, Ophelia's expression flickered with emotion as she stepped forward.
The other woman, as if struck by a bolt of fear, stumbled backward in retreat.
"I'm telling you,
Vincent and I are the ones truly in love. Please, let me have this. You have everything else, just think of me as..." Her words broke down into sobs.
Ophelia turned, her gaze piercing as she confronted the groom. "Is what she's saying true?"
The groom's lips were a tight line. "Ophelia, it's not what you think. I..."
Ophelia's brother Orion Joyner, unable to contain himself, stormed the stage and landed a fierce punch on the groom's face, his eyes blazing with fury. "Well done, Vincent Lynette. You dare betray my sister? You'll answer to me!" "Stop, please, stop hitting Vincent..." Tears streamed down the woman's face as she clung to Vincent, desperately seeking comfort in his arms.
Vincent shoved her away, his eyes pleading with Ophelia. "Ophelia, it's not like that. Don't be angry. It wasn't on purpose. I don't love her. I only wanted to marry you..."
"Vincent, you're lying!" Thrown to the ground, the woman exploded with rage. "It was you who said you loved me. You promised that once you had the power of the Joyner family, you would marry me!"
A slap landed on the woman's face.
"Shut up!" Vincent's hand struck her face with panic written all over him. "Ophelia, I
didn't..."
Ophelia watched Vincent with cold detachment, slowly removing the ring from her finger and tossing it at his face. "Vincent, you disgust me!"
Though theirs was not a love match, over the six months together, they had seemed a perfect fit.
The parents of both families were well pleased, and the union was beneficial for both families.
Ophelia, proud and dignified, had never imagined that her own wedding would become such a spectacle!
In a panic, Vincent pleaded, "Ophelia!"

"Vincent, from this day forward, let our engagement be dissolved."
With a clear voice, Ophelia announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the spectacle. Our Joyner family will refund all the gifts. Consider this my treat for a meal." With those words, Ophelia strode away.
"Ophelia!"
The woman tried to cling to Vincent in tears, but he kicked her away as he lost all patience, pointing menacingly at her. "I told you, I won't marry you. I don't even like you. I love Ophelia, and you'd better get lost right now!" After Vincent chased after Ophelia, strife erupted between the Joyner and Lynette families, casting a shadow over the entire banquet hall.
What should have been a joyful celebration had turned into a fiasco.
Worried about Ophelia, Brittany and Ysabel called her, only to replace she had already gone home. Exchanging a knowing look, they decided to leave the chaos behind.
Leaving the wedding venue, Brittany found herself questioning life.
"I can't help but wonder if I bring bad luck. Why is it that every time I attend a wedding or engagement party, something goes wrong?"
Isaac chuckled softly, giving her earlobe a playful pinch. "Nonsense."
How could she possibly be unlucky? She was a little bundle of luck!
However, as the pair reached the parking lot, they found their car vandalized with deep scratches and the front end damaged.
-
"What happened here?" Brittany was aghast this was her favorite car.
Isaac picked up a note and business card left on the windshield, reading the message.
[Sorry for hitting your car. I should have apologized and compensated you on the spot, but I had an emergency at home. Please contact me so we can sort this out. My deepest apologies.] The handwriting was sharp, betraying the writer's strength.
Brittany took the business card, her eyes widening in shock.
