Dominic casually poured himself a cup of coffee. "So, you're interested?"

Ivy, her thoughts transparent, blushed. "I had seen him before all this."

Dominic had always treated Ivy like a little sister, but the royal connections and the Hartman family had been nudging them toward marriage, both openly and behind the scenes.

"Ivy, Zac's a tough nut to crack. You might want to rethink this."

Ivy huffed, "I don't believe there's a man I can't win over!"

"What about Holden?"

Ivy's face turned stormy, she stomped her foot and shot Dominic a glare before storming off.

Dominic received a call, and after a brief conversation, he got up. "Got it, I'm on my way."

...

Isaac returned to the villa to replace Brittany already aware of his attendance at the royal charity gala. After changing his shoes, he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Sorry I'm late." Brittany was browsing through the latest news and stumbled upon a photo of Isaac and Ivy together.

The comments below were all praises, 'a match made in heaven.'

Brittany's eyes narrowed slightly.

Seeing the photo and fearing a misunderstanding, Isaac clarified, "I just met the Princess, and she's practically engaged to Dominic Hartman." "Dominic?"

"Yeah, an old friend I met up with."

Brittany had lived in Craneville for several years and knew a bit about the Hartman family. "If I remember correctly, Dominic had a fiancée before."

Dominic's previous fiancée was also from a distinguished family, but unfortunately, she fell from grace.

"Yes, she was also a friend." Isaac seemed pensive as he mentioned it. "She was from the Ulbricht family. The Ulbrichts have been in medicine for generations, owning Craneville's top medical research institute. Estelle Ulbricht was top of her class in Clinical Medicine at Imperial University."

Sadly, the Ulbricht family's downfall led to Estelle and Dominic's separation.

Hearing the words 'medical research institute,' Brittany's expression turned odd.

Isaac didn't notice her discomfort; instead, he playfully pinched her nose. "Don't be mad. The Princess and I, we just exchanged greetings."

Isaac was always careful about his interactions with others.

However, Brittany wasn't worried about that. She leaned into Isaac, teasing, "With the Princess being so beautiful, aren't you tempted?"

Isaac leaned down, lightly caressing her face. "What does her being outstanding have to do with me?"

He already had the most precious thing in his life.

Brittany giggled softly.

Their photo had made the news, attracting attention.

Ivy, upon seeing the news, didn't suppress the gossip but fanned the flames instead.

She wanted the whole world to know she was acquainted with Isaac, even hinting at something more.

However, the royal family acted quickly to squash the story and warned Ivy to be cautious.

Ivy was dissatisfied and sought out Dominic in private.

"Dominic, when will the Hartman family call off our engagement?"

She had no affection for Dominic. Dominic had Estelle in his heart; as the dignified princess, how could she ever be considered as Dominic's second choice?

Dominic was troubled. "The royal family insists, and our hands are tied. But if you truly have someone else in mind, with the Queen's fondness for you, she might change her mind."

Everyone knew the Queen's deep affection for the young princess.

Ivy bit her lip; if she could have convinced the Queen, she would have done so long ago instead of waiting till now.

Feeling rebuffed by Ivy, Dominic privately met with Isaac for some golf and coffee, where he learned that Isaac was already married.

As Dominic thought of Ivy, it seemed she was set for another disappointment.

"How long have you been married?"

"Six years," Isaac lifted his golf club, "Approaching seven now."

Dominic was surprised. "Why didn't you invite me to the wedding?"

"We had a minor incident and haven't had the ceremony yet." Isaac paused, "My grandmother passed away, so we postponed it." Knowing the close bond between Isaac and his grandmother, Dominic patted his shoulder. "Zac, my condolences."

Isaac was about to say he was fine and had moved past the grief when a voice called out, "Dominic. Mr. Salter, what a coincidence." Ivy stood a short distance away, dressed in sporty attire, vibrant and youthful, radiating a striking presence.
